The capsule defect detection has always been a challenging issue. In previous research, it has been difficult to strike a balance between accuracy and detection speed for the capsule defect detection system to meet the requirements of industrial production. In light of this, I introduce an innovative approach to identify defects in capsules using an Enhanced Faster RCNN framework. This method is not only high in accuracy, but also meets the real-time requirements of industrial detection. This method effectively identifies common capsule anomalies like scratches, compression marks, and faulty imprints. Ensuring capsule quality is pivotal in production processes. To align with the demands of real-time industrial inspection, I incorporate the MobileNetV1 network, replacing the Vgg16 network in the traditional Faster RCNN for feature extraction. Network parameter learning is achieved using the Adam algorithm, a substitution for the conventional Momentum algorithm. Furthermore, recognizing the limitations of Faster R-CNN in precisely localizing smaller objects, I enhanced its capabilities by integrating the Feature Pyramid Network (FPN). This adaptation optimized the utilization of finely detailed shallow features, thereby improving the detection performance of smaller objects. © 2023 IEEE.

In industrial quality inspection, false inspection or undetected inspection often occur in the identification of gear surface minute defects. This paper presents a novel detection framework for identifying surface defects on gears, utilizing an enhanced version of YOLOv7. Firstly, we add a small target detection layer upon the foundation of YOLOv7 to enhance the network's capability of accurately detecting smaller targets. Secondly, we replace the MP2 module with the MPCA module that integrates the CA (Coordinate Attention) mechanism, which can reduce the amount of computation and increase the network's attention to small targets by suppressing the interference of unnecessary info.mation. Finally, for small and dense defects on the gear surface, the original Binary Cross Entropy Loss and CIoU Loss are substituted with the Varifocal Loss and SIoU Loss to train the network. The empirical findings demonstrate that the improved model significantly enhances the precision and recall rate of small defects detection. mAP@0.5 achieves 77.7%, exhibiting a notable improvement of 3.3% over the baseline YOLOv7 model, and better than other one-stage target detection networks. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper compares four ultrasonic segmentation methods of thyroid nodules. This research uses the encoder-decoder neural network structure to learn deeper semantic info.mation in the down-sampling stage, gradually restore the position info.mation in the up-sampling stage, and finally use skip connection integration features to complete the semantic segmentation of thyroid nodules. This paper tried four encoder-decoder structures on the ultrasound database of thyroid nodules these experiments show that the structure is effective (maximum mIOU is 81.2%). © 2021 IEEE.

The network time protocol (NTP) has been used since the 80s to synchronize the time of various terminal devices in the network, and is one of the oldest network protocols still in use today. Thanks to its excellent design and implementation, it can show good synchronization performance and stability even in complex network environments (such as terrestrial Internet). In recent years, with the expansion of the scale of the satellite Internet, the satellite network structure has gradually changed from a simple point-To-point connection mode to a complex networking mode, and the frequently changing inter-orbital inter-satellite links have brought great complexity to the network. Therefore, it is important to perform the time synchronization in complex satellite networks, especially when the laser-based transmission technology applied. In this paper, we introduce the NTP system into the laser inter-satellite networks. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time the two systems working together, enabling performing the data transmission in the simple, but effective way. We investigate two kinds of transmission scenarios: The time synchronization happened in the co-orbit and the crossorbit cases. To perform the investigation, we set up a 30-satellites simulation platform, where their virtual connections were followed by the rule of laser inter-satellite networks. The NTP details were discussed by the two transmission scenarios, including the implementation structure, the delay results and the factors that could impact the synchronization performance. By successful implementation in laser inter-satellite networks, the NTP suggests an alternative approach to perform the time synchronization in the simple and low-cost way, by dealing with the complex and free-Access networks across the whole earth. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. As one kind of Event-Related Potentials (ERPs), P300 plays an important role in studying neural activities and cognitive processes, and lays the foundation for P300 speller - the Brain Computer Interface (BCI) working by detecting P300. However, due to P300's high subject variability and low Signal Noise Ratio (SNR), it's always a challenge to do P300 detection. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have been widely recognized as effective methods for P300 detection, leading to the development of increasingly complex CNN architectures for P300 detection in recent years. However, this paper takes a different approach by proposing the bantamweight CNN (BCNN), the simplest and fast-training CNN for P300 detection. BCNN comprises only one convolutional filter and a total of 141 parameters. Surprisingly, it achieves state-of-the-art performance after just 2 epochs of training, making it an exceptionally lightweight and fast CNN for P300 detection. BCNN not only provides new ideas for CNN design, but also effectively address resource and time constrained situations. © 2023 IEEE.

Absorption spectroscopy has been widely used in non-intrusive chemical analysis. Dual-comb spectroscopy is emerging as an effective tool for the measurement of absorption spectroscopy with both high resolution and wide bandwidth. Herein, we proposed a simple measurement of the absorption spectrum based on a polarization-multiplexed dual-comb laser. The free-running dual combs generated from a single cavity were highly coherent. In addition, the two combs possess overlapped spectra. Therefore, the dual-comb laser was utilized to perform dual-comb spectroscopy directly without a servo-locking system. The signal-to-noise ratio of interferograms in the time domain was effectively improved by the coherent average. The linear relationship between the signal-to-noise ratio and the square root of average times indicated the dual-comb laser was highly coherent. Taking advantage of the stable dual-comb laser, the extracted weak absorption features of hydrogen cyanide within the wavelength range of 1560 to 1566 nm were in line with the HITRAN database. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time to realize the measurement of absorption spectrum at 1.5-μm with dual combs under such low repetition rates. Such kind of dual-comb laser provides an effective approach for the realization of low-cost and high-resolution absorption spectroscopy. The simple and high-resolution dual-comb spectrometer could be further applied in quantitative measurements based on absorption spectroscopy, such as measurements of temperature and concentration. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper addresses a trajectory tracking control method based on iterative learning for the nonlinear fourth-order partial differential equation (PDE) system. A noval iterative learning control law is designed that enables the repeatable Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation system track the desired trajectory. The Poincar'e-Wirtinger inequality and Cauchy-sch.artz inequality are applied to deal with the function problem in this paper. By using the Gronwall-Bellman lemma and integration by parts technique, a Lyapunov function is constructed and an LMI sufficient condition is provided, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed iterative learning control method is verified through the convergence proof of the closed-loop Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation system. Finally, the trajectory tracking curve simulation after multiple iterations is provied in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

In monopulse antenna systems, the feeding network plays a critical role since it provides the sum and difference beams. A hybrid waveguide is a type of four-ports device widely used as a feeding network to produce sum and diff beams. This paper deals with the miniaturization of feeding network monopulse antenna using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). The proposed feeding network which is developed based on SIW structure will be compared with the conventional one, which has a bulky structure, to determine the miniaturization ratio. Parameters of the feeding network such as physical dimension, return loss, insertion loss, isolation, and phase difference will be analyzed to determine the performance of proposed feeding network after miniaturization. The proposed feeding network is deployed on a double side 1.524 mm thick Rogers RO-4003C dielectric substrate. The characterization results show that the proposed feeding network performs well in each port with the phase difference of 180°. In comparison to the conventional one, the use of SIW structure is ultra-compact and implementable in finite space. © 2023 IEEE.

With the wide application of blockchain, the access control of on-chain data and privacy protection are two urgent concerns to be solved. Although many access control systems based on attribute-based encryption (ABE) have emerged, they are not satisfactory for achieving the privacy protection of data owners' attributes and the revocation of data consumers' attribute sets. An anonymous ciphertext policy ABE with attribute revocation (AR-ACP-ABE) was unveiled by adopting the idea of attribute revocation based on broadcast encryption. Then, a new privacy-preserving attributebased access control system was constructed. It is an extension of the AR-ACP-ABE sch.me by adopting the technique of blockchain and outsourced computation. The new system supports completely hidden access policies and allows data owners to revoke data consumers' attribute sets. In addition, data consumers only need to perform one exponent operation on the target group during the access phase.
