Nanocrystalline BaFBr:Eu 2+ is fabricated by high-energy ball-milling of equimolar BaF 2 , BaBr 2 , and ≈1 mol% EuBr 2 (20 Hz, 120 min) followed by vacuum annealing (150—900 °C, 1 h).
