Nonlinear systems have garnered attention over the past few decades because many practical systems possess nonlinear characteristics. In addition,backstepping is an effective method to address the control problem observed in such systems [1]. Iterative learning control (ILC) can be used to solve control problems in repetitive systems [2]. Consequently, the combination of the above two methods remains an interesting and open problem. Several methods have been proposed for various nonlinear systems and their applications, such as robot systems and hydraulic cylinders. Notably, the identical initial condition is a restrictive limitation. Consequently, several effective techniques, such as time-varying boundary layer and initial rectification, have been reported. However, the time-varying boundary layer cannot achieve a perfect tracking, and the initial rectification necessitates a redesign process to improve the difficulties encountered in case of real engineering.
