The robust stability of the switched systems with time-varying delays and uncertainties is investigated in this paper. Considering the interplay among admissible edge-dependent dwell time, the weighted admissible edge-dependent average dwell time strategy is proposed, which broadens the range of selectable dwell time. By virtue of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional technology, the robust asymptotic stability criteria are derived. Then, by modeling networked control systems as switched systems in accordance with the number of packet losses, the sampling control problem of networked control systems is solved, and the corresponding controller gains are obtained. Finally, the efficacy of the primary results is validated through two numerical examples and an application example. The results show that the weighted admissible edge-dependent average dwell time encompasses a broader set of signals compared to the admissible edge-dependent average dwell time.
