In the era of artificial intelligence, academic activities tend to use Chat GPT more frequently. A Chabot called Chat GPT is used for brainstorming, writing, and learning. Although most academicians use Chat GPT to their advantage when taking notes, it is detrimental to research. A few authors wrote the papers swiftly by using AI techniques. These days, chat GPT is employed in a wide range of tasks. It prepares any type of content for the internet. The likelihood of plagiarism is rising as a result of its use. At present, plagiarism is the biggest challenge in the field of research. Plagiarism occurs when an author uses this technology to modify another person's work and transmit it off as their own without providing a reference or credit. Plagiarism is a term used to describe when someone copies something from another source without providing credit to the original author. Google is working quickly in the image field, but at that point, it will be used to detect plagiarism that is generated with the aid of artificial intelligence. The less papers that are utilized in favor of online resources, the more academics are working to make the globe more environmentally friendly. In the presented paper, a few software applications are discussed and compare a number of different techniques to detect the plagiarism in academics field like scientific equations or cross-lingual or multilingual texts. Various applications are developed in research to identify instances of plagiarism in research papers, assignments, and source code. After reviewing the papers pertaining to various tools for detecting plagiarism, not much more work is done in the area of detecting plagiarism in images or in image text. The article that is being presented comes to the conclusion that no software tool has been developed to identify plagiarism in images or in the text associated with images. © 2024 IEEE.

Epileptic seizures, a prevalent neurological condition, necessitate precise and prompt identification for optimal care. Nevertheless, the intricate characteristics of electroencephalography (EEG) signals, noise, and the want for real-time analysis require enhancement in the creation of dependable detection approaches. Despite advances in machine learning and deep learning, capturing the intricate spatial and temporal patterns in EEG data remains challenging. This study introduced a novel deep learning framework combining a convolutional neural network (CNN), bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU), and convolutional block attention module (CBAM). The CNN extracts spatial features, the BiGRU captures long-term temporal dependencies, and the CBAM emphasizes critical spatial and temporal regions, creating a hybrid architecture optimized for EEG pattern recognition. Evaluation of a public EEG dataset revealed superior performance compared to existing methods. The model achieved 99.00% accuracy in binary classification, 96.20% in three-class tasks, 92.00% in four-class scenarios, and 89.00% in five-class classification. High sensitivity (89.00–99.00%) and specificity (89.63–99.00%) across all tasks highlighted the model’s robust ability to identify diverse EEG patterns. This approach supports healthcare professionals in diagnosing epileptic seizures accurately and promptly, improving patient outcomes and quality of life. © 2025 American Institute of Mathematical sciences. Data is the lifeblood of the modern world, forming a fundamental part of AI, decision-making, and research advances. With increase in interest in data, governments have taken important steps towards a regulated data world, drastically impacting data sharing and data usability and resulting in massive amounts of data confined within the walls of organizations. While synthetic data generation (SDG) is an appealing solution to break down these walls and enable data sharing, the main drawback of existing solutions is the assumption of a trusted aggregator for generative model training. Given that many data holders may not want to, or be legally allowed to, entrust a central entity with their raw data, we propose a framework for collaborative and private generation of synthetic tabular data from distributed data holders. Our solution is general, applicable to any marginal-based SDG, and provides input privacy by replacing the trusted aggregator with secure multi-party computation (MPC) protocols and output privacy via differential privacy (DP). We demonstrate the applicability and scalability of our approach for the state-of-the-art select-measure-generate SDG algorithms MWEM+PGM and AIM. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)

Surveillance is a major stream of research in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), which focuses on the observation of a person, group of people, buildings, infrastructure, etc. With the integration of real time images and video processing approaches such as machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, the UAV possesses several advantages such as enhanced safety, cheap, rapid response, and effective coverage facility. In this aspect, this study designs robust deep learning based real time object detection (RDL-RTOD) technique for UAV surveillance applications. The proposed RDL-RTOD technique encompasses a two-stage process namely object detection and objects classification. For detecting objects, YOLO-v2 with ResNet-152 technique is used and generates a bounding box for every object. In addition, the classification of detected objects takes place using optimal kernel extreme learning machine (OKELM). In addition, fruit fly optimization (FFO) algorithm is applied for tuning the weight parameter of the KELM model and thereby boosts the classification performance. A series of simulations were carried out on the benchmark dataset and the results are examined under various aspects. The experimental results highlighted the supremacy of the RDL-RTOD technique over the recent approaches in terms of several performance measures. © 2022 River Publishers.

This study investigates the optimization of healthcare accessibility and effectiveness by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within Internet of Things (IoT) systems for remote patient monitoring. Embracing a holistic approach, we deploy medical sensors, including temperature, pressure, heart rate, and oxygen sensors, to collect patients' continuous health metrics (vital signs). These sensed data are then transmitted to an Arduino controller, responsible for managing data communication with the cloud infrastructure using a Wi-Fi module that facilitates data storage and analysis. Stored data are accessed by authorized healthcare professionals, who exploit machine learning models, including Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Logistic Regression (LR) and Decision Tree (DT), to forecast patients' health outcome in advance using the sensed data. A rigorous evaluation demonstrated the IoT system's effectiveness, based on testing with sensed data from ten patients over a month, where 70% of the data were used for training the models, and the rest for testing. The proposed IoT system demonstrates the success;ANN exhibited the highest accuracy at 97.88%, followed by LR at 93.43%, and DT at 91.20%. Precision, recall, and F1 scores further validated the models' ability to predict health outcome accurately. Evaluation of the accuracy and loss curves showed the convergence of the models towards optimal performance. This study contributes to remote healthcare monitoring and provides a promising IoT paradigm for realizing ubiquitous remote monitoring, optimized healthcare effectiveness, and patient outcome through AI-enabled IoT systems. © 2024 IEEE.

In this correspondence, we investigate an information-bearing reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system. In this system, the RIS is segmented into multiple sub-RIS units, each serving as a passive transmitter to deliver information to users via extended backscatter modulation under the NOMA scheme. We aim to maximize the system's weighted sum rate (WSR) by jointly optimizing the active beamformer at the power beacon (PB) and the RIS coefficient vectors, while adhering to constraints related to PB transmission power, RIS coefficients, successive interference cancellation (SIC) decoding rate, and rate fairness. Extensive simulation results verify the feasibility and superiority of the proposed scheme. © 2025 IEEE.

Medical images are available in small datasets with different modalities and for various organs. Although Transfer learning is a promising approach for training models on small datasets, further studies are required on using them with several image modalities and body parts. This paper explores two dominant meta-learning algorithms: a metric-based algorithm, namely Prototypical Network, and an optimization-based algorithm, namely MAML. The algorithms trained on a small multi-modal medical dataset (i.e., Slake), and a general dataset of the same size (i.e., Tiny-imagenet) with different class distribution methods: Random, Logical-based, and Statistical-based class distribution. The aim is to apply diversity among the classes in the meta-training set and similarity between the classes in the meta-training, and meta-testing or meta-validation sets. The results validate the importance of class distribution on the accuracy of the algorithms. MAML is hard to be trained on Tiny-imagenet but it shows good accuracy on Slake in specific cases. In statistical distribution, the Prototypical Network shows high accuracy on the datasets, especially when the similarity between the meta-training and meta-validation sets is considered for Tiny-imagenet. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The risks discussed in this document are related to smart printers/ fax/ photocopiers/ or e-mail-enabled smart devices, also known as "document centers,". These devices can be purchased outright or rented every month. When an item reaches its end of life, it is either donated to a non-profit organization or returned to the manufacturer (OEM) or supplier at the end of a lease arrangement. These network-interconnected devices have an inherent susceptibility that most IT operations teams or information security professionals are unaware of. This effort will raise awareness of the dangers of losing a company's data. This discussion will focus on reported vulnerabilities, previous discussions, and given the author's view on the potential danger. Create instructions for potential users on how to use and disassemble these devices safely to prevent losing sensitive data. Lastly, the technological structure of two potential attack vectors against a document center of an organization will be demonstrated in this study. The study was conducted in government as well as the private sector, medium-sized enterprises (300 employees of each entity) settings, outside of normal business hours, with special authorizations and engagement, limiting the scope to a minimal set of devices. © 2023 IEEE.

This bibliographic analysis research addresses the evolving landscape of blockchain research from 2016 to 2024. The introduction identifies the problem of understanding the current state and trends of blockchain literature, given the technology's rapid growth and diverse applications. Research gaps are identified in terms of understanding productivity, collaboration patterns, and emerging topics within the field. To address these gaps, the study conducts a comprehensive analysis using bibliometric techniques on data extracted from the Scopus database. The analysis reveals that China, the USA, and India emerge as the top three contributors, collectively accounting for 68% of the total publications and demonstrating substantial productivity and collaboration within the research community. Moreover, the study highlights the increasing focus on topics such as smart contracts (15%), digital storage (12%), and consortium blockchains (14%), indicating emerging areas of interest and research priorities. Security-related concerns remain prevalent, as evidenced by the frequent co-occurrence of keywords related to network security and cryptography. Additionally, the analysis underscores the diverse range of applications and implications of blockchain technology, spanning industries such as finance, supply chain management, and healthcare. By synthesizing these findings, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of blockchain research and provides insights for future research directions and collaborations. © 2024 IEEE.
