High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is very important for doctors to judge the condition. At present, the depth learning method has been widely studied in the super-resolution reconstruction of MR images. However, due to the distribution difference between the real low-resolution MR images and the down sampled MR images used to train the super-resolution model under experimental conditions, the super-resolution performance of the super-resolution method is often seriously degraded when super-resolution is applied to the real low-resolution MR images. Blind super-resolution methods used to solve such problems in natural image super-resolution are lack of image content constraints. It is not advisable to introduce additional information that will interfere with doctors’ diagnosis in the super-resolution process of MR images. These two problems hinder the application of super-resolution method in real MR images. In order to solve these problems, an unpaired MR image super-resolution network based on domain migration is proposed. The proposed DMN can use a real set of low to high-resolution unpaired MR images as input, migrate the real low-resolution MR images to the down sampled MR image domain, and then super-resolution reconstruction is carried out through the paired super-resolution network obtained through supervision training. Experiments on fast MRI datasets verify the effectiveness of this method in solving the super-resolution problem of real MR images. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper introduces an innovative optimal control approach to achieve output tracking while incorporating H2-performance specifications in a specific class of nonlinear dynamics modeled by the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model (TSFM). The primary innovation lies in extending partial eigenstructure assignment to TSFM-based nonlinear systems within the framework of sliding mode control (SMC). We propose a two-step methodology for designing optimal sliding surface gains. Initially, optimal state feedback gains are computed for each rule consequence containing a linear subsystem, adhering to predetermined eigenvalues and satisfying H2-performance criteria. Subsequently, using a convex combination, the overall state feedback gain is calculated and utilized to design sliding matrix gains. The sliding matrix gains are then determined by strategically combining previously calculated state-feedback gains in a convex optimization problem. We reframe the output tracking strategy as a stabilization problem using a virtual control input and reformulate the optimization task concerning tracking state errors. This process yields state feedback gains, sliding gains, and the formulation of the virtual control input. The effectiveness of our approach is verified through comprehensive simulations, emphasizing its capability in addressing output tracking challenges within nonlinear systems. © 2013 IEEE.

Scheduling algorithms in distributed heterogeneous systems have been the subject of extensive research. However, with the advancement of technology, addressing real-time, reliability, and energy consumption issues in dynamic environments has become increasingly critical. Existing studies mostly focus on static approaches, which are challenging to achieve scheduling objectives rapidly and adaptively. Therefore, we propose a novel dynamic energy-aware scheduling algorithm for deadlines and reliability constrained applications. Firstly, we introduce a prioritization method for multitasking applications to ensure more applications meet their deadlines. Subsequently, we present specific strategies for task allocation to achieve a better trade-off between energy consumption and reliability. Experimental results on randomly generated applications validate the superiority of our proposed method in terms of performance compared to other algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of information technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become more complex, and more and more devices and users are connected to the IoT system. While improving data interactivity and expanding the scope of data sharing, secure access to IoT resources is also facing great risks. Therefore, it is necessary to design an appropriate access control scheme. Firstly, this paper introduces Decentralized Identifiers (DID) and Verifiable Credentials. It is used for authentication and rights management of users and devices, respectively, which makes identity and authority unforgeable. Secondly, this paper uses blockchain technology to support DID and Verifiable Credentials, which can ensure the decentralization, invariance and traceability of data. Finally, using smart contracts enables automatic processing of requester authorization and access requests. The test results show that the scheme has good performance. © 2022 IEEE.

When the terminal sub-device sends data to the main device of the peer avionics system, it faces the related problems of data loss, blurred transmission, and format parsing errors. In response to these problems, this paper combs the basic concept and basic topology structure of the airborne bus 1553B applied to the master-slave equipment of the avionics system, analyzes the application method of the 1553B bus in the avionics system for high-efficiency and high-precision data transmission, and proposes an industrial control system. The scheme of optimizing data transmission between master and slave devices through 1553B bus access to the avionics system provides a new research idea for the development of data communication between master and slave devices in the real avionics system. The data communication monitoring system of the master-slave equipment of the electrical system will avoid risks for future real scenarios in terms of data analysis, data flow, and whether the transmission and reception are successful on the ground. © 2022 IEEE.

Digital pathology allows for the efficient storage and advanced computational analysis of stained histopathological slides of various tissues. Tissue segmentation is a crucial first step of digital pathology aimed at eliminating background, pen markings, and other artifacts, reducing image size, and increasing the efficiency of further analysis. In most cases, color thresholding or deep learning models are used, but their effectiveness is reduced due to complex artifacts and huge color variations between slides. We propose a post processing method to increase the tissue segmentation performance of any initial segmentation algorithm. Using a set of 197 manually annotated histopathological images of breast cancer patients and 63 images of endometrial cancer patients, we tested our method with 3 thresholding techniques and 3 deep learning-based algorithms by calculating the Dice index, Jaccard index, precision, and recall. In both datasets, applying post processing increased precision and recall for thresholding methods and mostly precision for deep learning models. Overall, applying post-processing gave better tissue segmentation performance than initial segmentation methods, significantly increasing Dice and Jaccard indices. Our results proved that thanks to post-processing, the tissue segmentation pipeline is more robust to noises and artifacts commonly present in histopathological images. © 2025 by SCITEPRESS– science and Technology Publications, Lda.

With the widespread application of machine learning technology across multiple domains, artificial intelligence (AI) jobs have become significant workloads for cloud service providers. However, current cloud platforms rely on pre-set scheduling algorithms, making it difficult to adjust configurations in real-time according to characteristics of AI jobs, thereby limiting job completion efficiency. Additionally, the heterogeneity and dynamism of AI jobs increase the difficulty of resource prediction and scheduling. In order to address this issue, this paper proposes an effective approach based on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), by using DRL technology to adjust scheduling algorithm configurations online, converting the optimization process into a Markov process for model training, so as to optimize configurations in real-time and reduce job completion time. Simultaneously, to shorten the data sampling time for DRL training, this paper develops a cluster simulation scheduler that can efficiently simulate cluster running states, which can accelerate DRL training. Experimental results demonstrate that the simulation scheduler exhibits fast simulation rates and high simulation accuracy, and our proposed approach effectively reduces job completion time in small-scale clusters, thereby enhancing cluster resource utilization.

Due to the lower cost and higher maneuverability, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have found extensive use in both the civilian and military worlds. Path planning, as a crucial problem in the process of UAVs flight, aims to determine the optimal routes for multiple UAVs from various starting points to a single destination. However, because of the involvement of complex conditional constraints, path planning becomes a highly challenging problem. The path planning problem involving numerous UAVs is examined in this research, and a SAAPF-MADDPG algorithm based on Artificial Potential Field (APF) is suggested as a solution. First, a SA-greedy algorithm that can change the probability of random exploration by agents based on the number of steps and successful rounds to prevent UAVs from getting trapped in a local optimum. Then, we design complex reward functions based on APF to guide UAVs to destination faster. Finally, SAAPF-MADDPG is evaluated against the MADDPG, DDPG, and MATD3 methods in simulation scenarios to confirm its efficacy. © 2023 IEEE.

In modern numerical simulations, in order to be reliable, a computer code needs to be accurate and fast. The Framework for Combining Optimization and Simulation Software (COSMOS) is a tool which allows for the seamless integration of numerical simulations with appropriate optimizations algorithm. In this paper we present the integration of different numerical solutions in order to simulate a search in a continuous 3D space. The simulations are performed on different computational scenarios revealing significant improvements and useful insights into alternative optimisation solutions. © 2023, Politechnica University of Bucharest. A smart home allows automated technology to control systems and appliances to assist daily life activities. In the current work, a prototype of a designed smart home health-aware system is presented. Three predefined ruled agents have been used to gather data, communicate between themselves, interpret the data based on several machine learning algorithms to predict abnormality for cardiac conditions. The paper also compares results obtained by running five machine learning algorithms. The agents function in accordance with predefined dataset describing residents ' age, gender, height, weight, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels, smoking and alcohol consumption habits, and lastly, physical activity. Our plan is to simplify ubiquitous health monitoring for smart home's residents. The proposed solution aims to monitor parametric measurements to alert health specialists in case of emergencies. © 2023 IEEE.
