The technique of generating fonts with few-shot learning has become a popular research topic. The goal of this technique is to transform the source-to-target domain by using a small number of sample images to generate characters for new fonts. However, current research is limited by model frameworks and migration algorithms, which pose challenges for maintaining content integrity and stroke-level style consistency when generating Chinese characters. This paper proposes ResFFont, a reversible network-based model that uses a unique reversible framework and Global and Local Feature Fusion Module (GaLSFM) to ensure complete delivery of content information and stroke-level style consistency. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the ResFFont model, providing a new solution to the font generation problem. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Effective control techniques are essential for offshore platform systems to suppress disturbances caused by the complex marine environment and ensure the stable operation of the systems during the exploration of marine resources. This paper establishes a hardware-in-the-loop based marine resource exploration process control simulation and experiment system to simulate the effects of marine environmental factors on the offshore platform. The marine environment is simulated using JONSWAP spectra and real marine environment data. The dynamics of offshore platform is modeled using Lagrange's equation method. And the control effect is demonstrated using virtual reality technology. Ultimately, the dynamic positioning system control experiment, which uses the equivalent input disturbance method, validates the experimental system. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

A stable track components segmentation model should have consistent performance across a broad spectrum of railroad conditions, particularly in unfamiliar locations. Despite this, satisfying this requirement proves challenging when working with a limited track dataset, as there is a substantial domain shift between the given dataset and unobserved distributions. The goal of this paper is to improve the generalization ability of track component segmentation in situations where single-domain training data is available. Toward this end, a novel track component instance segmentation method combining the geometric context is proposed. First, we design an initial mask prediction head (IMPH) that utilizes predicted box output from the object detector to generate initial masks by merging the geometric priors of track components. Meanwhile, a multiscale feature fusion structure is introduced to encourage IMPH to better capture the geometric context. Then, a final mask refinement head (FMRH) is introduced to get higher quality masks with a geometry-gated aggregation strategy. On the basis of experiments on track datasets, it was determined that the heads can be incorporated with several types of detection frameworks and have demonstrated consistent generalization enhancements across multiple object detectors. Furthermore, our method substantially enhances segmentation performance on various unobserved domains.

To improve the disturbance rejection ability and repetitive tracking accuracy of manipulators, a composite iterative learning control (ILC) scheme via generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) is proposed. A high-order polynomial is first employed to model the time-varying disturbances that include unmodeled dynamics, parameter uncertainties and load fluctuations. A GPIO is then designed to estimate the disturbances and high-order time derivatives. By introducing estimations into a PD-type ILC at each iteration, a composite control scheme is obtained, such that the undesirable influence of time-varying disturbances can be effectively attenuated in the repetitive tracking process of manipulators. In this paper, the rigorous stability analysis of the closed-loop system is presented to guarantee that the tracking error exponentially converges to zero as the iteration number tends to infinity. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is finally verified by simulation results. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Stereo vision plays a crucial role in scientific expeditions and facility maintenance. However, fixed-baseline stereo vision lacks accuracy for long-distance measurements, while wide-baseline stereo vision encounters occlusion issues at short distances. In this study, a wide-baseline stereo matching based on multi-view geometric constraints is proposed. Initially, the camera poses of multiple wide-baseline images are estimated, followed by image rectification and depth estimation. Subsequently, the disparity searching is constrained using geometric relationships among the views, resulting in more precise depth maps. Experiments were conducted to verify the superiority of the proposed method. The results indicate that the proposed method achieves an RMSE as low as 0.15 meters, even with invalid depth points. Compared to traditional stereo vision methods, accuracy is improved by approximately 35%, and robustness is significantly enhanced. In the aircraft runway scenario, overall depth map accuracy is higher, and occluded areas are significantly reduced.

To monitor industrial processes properly, soft-sensors are widely used to predict significant but difficult-to-measure quality variables. However, the prediction performances of traditional data-driven soft-sensors are usually unacceptable once suffering from high-nonlinear, high-dimension, and imblance data issues. Therefore, a semisupervised soft-sensor, which is learned by a just-in-time method with structure entropy clustering (SS-JITL-SEC), is proposed aiming to improve prediction performance with a simpler way. Inspired by a divide and conquer strategy, a novel SEC method is proposed to achieve several clusters and then to translate the highly complex and nonlinear modeling problems into simple and linear ones. Moreover, the training dataset is extended through a mixed SS labeling approach. Finally, dissimilarity-based JITL works together with the resulting clustering subdatasets to formulate a local adaptive prediction model. Two datasets from different types of wastewater treatment plants are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed soft-sensor. The results show that the SS-JITL-SEC soft-sensor can achieve better prediction performance than other standard counterparts, and even for effective process monitoring with the resulted residuals. © 2020 IEEE.

In the era of artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC), conditional multimodal synthesis technologies (e.g., text-to-image) are dynamically reshaping the natural content. Brain signals, serving as potential reflections of how the brain interprets external information, exhibit a distinctive one-to-many correspondence with various external modalities. This correspondence makes brain signals emerge as a promising guiding condition for multimodal synthesis (e.g., image, text, and audio), which is crucial for developing practical brain–computer interface systems and unraveling complex mechanisms underlying human perception. This survey comprehensively examines the emerging field of brain-conditional multimodal synthesis, termed AIGC-brain, to delineate the current landscape and future directions. To begin, related neuroimaging datasets and generative models are introduced as the foundation of AIGC-brain decoding and analysis. Next, we present a comprehensive taxonomy according to AIGC-brain methodologies, followed by task-specific representative work and implementation details to facilitate in-depth comparison and analysis. Quality assessments are then introduced for both qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Finally, this survey explores insights gained, outlining current challenges and prospects of AIGC-brain. As a pioneering survey, this article paves the way for future advances in AIGC-brain research. © 2020 IEEE.

Reversible solid oxide cell (RSOC) demonstrates considerable promise in multimodal energy conversion architectures, particularly as a technology for hydrogen-based energy storage systems. Nevertheless, under dynamic operating regimes with time-varying current inputs, realizing time-efficient and reliable transitions to steady-state operation remains difficult. This difficulty arises from the intricate coupling of thermal, electrical, and gaseous processes within the RSOC system. This study aims to address these challenges by developing a 5 kW mathematical model of the RSOC system. The proposed model enables systematic investigation of thermal safety issues arising during current switching operations while introducing a thermal constraint control strategy to enhance both system efficiency and thermal safety performance. This efficiency-driven study employs the Grid Search algorithm to identify optimal steady-state operating points for the RSOC system, ensuring strict adherence to safety constraints across varying current inputs. Furthermore, by integrating the pre-identified optimal operating points as feedforward control with Model Predictive control (MPC)-based feedback correction, this hybrid strategy effectively mitigates stack temperature gradient overshoot while synchronously ensuring optimal system efficiency throughout current transition processes. Under simulated variable current inputs, the proposed RSOC system model and control strategy demonstrate the capability to constrain stack temperature gradient overshoot within 2.3K while enhancing transient efficiency by 5 %–8 %, achieving a peak system efficiency of 85 %. It provides a novel methodology for safe and efficient working with intermittent renewable energy. © 2025 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC

Blast furnace operating parameters regulate the gas utilization rate (GUR), and different operating parameters affect the GUR on different time scales. However, the existing methods only analyze and model the prediction on a single-time scale, and the accuracy of the model needs to be improved. In this paper, a multi-time-scale prediction method of blast furnace gas utilization rate based on causality is proposed. Firstly, according to the production characteristics of the blast furnace, burden and blast supply are the operation means to regulate the blast furnace on different time scales. Then, this paper presents a blast furnace operation parameter extraction method fusing correlation coefficient and information entropy, and selects two most informative parameters to characterize the operation. On this basis, the causal analysis method is used to prove that the selected operation parameters affect the development trend of GUR. Finally, the long and short time scale prediction models of GUR are established, which are verified by the data of the actual blast furnace production process, improving the prediction accuracy of the GUR efficiently. © 2023 IEEE.
