The advance of high-frequency response and micro-torque electric actuator motivates the study on high performance motor for load simulator. A novel high-precision swing-arm Voice Coil Motor (VCM) has been proposed in this paper. The research investigates the feasibility of this new structure applied to the VCM. Abiding by the equivalent rotary inertia idea, mechanical structure and magnetic field interactive design have been implemented with the electromagnetic simulation software-Ansoft's Maxwell. An iterative optimal design process is then proposed to maximize the force constant of the VCM and to minimize the inertia of the rotor. Simulation results are given to illustrate that the proposed design procedure can preliminarily achieve a satisfactory performance.

In order to quantitative research on internal leakage of high precision Vane Swing Hydraulic Motor, the author considers the hydraulic motor deformation caused by differential pressure. The deformation of hydraulic motor leads to the change of the leakage. And then hydraulic motor leakage was calculated based deformation. First of all, the author introduced the leakage Calculation method of Vane Swing Hydraulic Motor through the theoretical analysis. Secondly, in working time, the hydraulic motor deformation caused differential pressure was analyzed by ANSYS. Finally, the finite element analysis results by ANSYS fixed the hydraulic motor leakage and given the leakage control method.

This paper focuses on influence of aerocraft actuator on ultimate performance of Hydraulic Load Simulator (HLS). The dynamic response of a HLS is not approximate with different aerocraft actuator which was indicated in experimental phenomenon. That results in an additional workload to adjust the parameters of torque controller. With the help of mathematic description of influence issue, this paper analyzes and presents the principle of this influence in the form of transfer function, which relates to the load stiffness of aerocraft actuator. Simulation results indicate that the proposed principle can be successfully used to explain the influence in accord with the experimental phenomenon.

This paper presents a parameter identification method with nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) model for electro-hydraulic servo systems (EHSS) based on Matlab toolbox, in which the values of known parameters are fixed and the values of unknown parameters are identified. In order to avoid the problem of over-parameterization, this paper divides the identification into two parts, i.e. no-load identification (identification of the system without load) and with-load identification (identification of the system with load). To test the performance of this method, it is applied to a set of simulated data. Identification results demonstrate perfect correspondence between the data and the identified models.

The IEEE RAS Ontologies for Robotics and automation Working Group is dedicated to developing a methodology for knowledge representation and reasoning in robotics and automation. As part of this working group, the Autonomous Robots sub-group is tasked with developing ontology modules for autonomous robots. This paper describes the work in progress on the development of ontologies for autonomous systems. For autonomous systems, the focus is on the cooperation, coordination, and communication of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The ontologies serve as a framework for working out concepts of employment with multiple vehicles for a variety of operational scenarios with emphasis on collaborative and cooperative missions.
