Computer aided fusion of multi modality medical images provides a very promising diagnostic tool with numerous clinical applications. The objective of this paper is to present a novel scheme of medical imaging fusion. We define ¿local to be fused¿ of the process of image fusion as a generalized local, which extends airspace locals to generalized locals, and promotes the airspace local priority to generalized local priority. Based on this priority, the volume-weighted of token coefficient of images is introduced and weighted so that multi-modal medical image fusion is achieved with high quality. This scheme is applied to CT/MRI datasets and results show the effectiveness of the method.

Many image segmentation methods have been proposed over the last few decades. However, the results of segmentation are usually evaluated only visually, qualitatively, or indirectly by the effectiveness of the segmentation on the subsequent processing steps. Such methods are either subjective or tied to particular applications. A few quantitative evaluation methods have been proposed, but these early methods have been based entirely on empirical analysis and have no theoretical grounding. In this paper, we put forward the concept of segmentation entropy, based on which a novel objective segmentation evaluation method is proposed. This method uses region entropy as the basis for measuring the uniformity of pixel characteristics within segmented regions and segmented entropy as a whole measure to provide a relative qualitative score that can be used to compare both various parameterizations of one particular segmentation method as well as fundamentally different segmentation techniques.

The projectile movement on bore is the key factor of gun vibration character. In order to obtain the projectile movement with the information in time-domain and frequency-domain, the wavelet transform is used for time-domain and frequency-domain analysis of response from the dynamics model with coupling between gun and projectile. The dynamics model of multi-body system with consideration of collisions between projectile and rifle is constructed for a gun. The traverse acceleration of projectile with time history is acquired by numerical computation. Because wavelet transform has favorable locality in time-domain and frequency-domain and the signal time-domain average is not needed, the continuous wavelet transform is applied to construe the response on acceleration of projectile. The figure of time frequency phase plane is plotted, which can directly describe the energy and time when the collision of projectile occurs, and can provide the reference for gun vibration characteristic analysis.

Being difficult to determine hidden unitspsilas number and unsuitable to select central position in radial basis function (RBF) layer, particle swarm optimization and resource allocation (RAN) were proposed for training RBF neural networks. First, determine unitspsilas number in RBF layer using RAN. Then, optimize RBF parameters such as central position, width and weights based on PSO.
