A multiple models neural network decoupling controller is designed to control the multivariable nonlinear discrete time system. First, at each equilibrium point, one neural network is trained offline to identify the linear term of the nonlinear system while the other neural network is trained online to identify the nonlinear term. Then the multiple models is composed of all models which is got from each equilibrium point. According to the switching index, the best model is selected as the system model. So, for the selected model, the nonlinear term is viewed as the measurable disturbance and eliminated using feedforward strategy. By the choice of the polynomial matrices, the poles of the linear term can be placed arbitrarily and the dynamical decoupling controller is designed accordingly. The simulation example shows effectiveness of the proposed system

The tracking problem for continuous-time systems with multiple input delays is investigated. Via Krein space method, the problem with multiple input delays is dual to that of fixed-lag smoothing for a stochastic model without delay. This paper addresses the problem of stability for two-dimensional systems with delays in the state. To solve this problem, the Lyapunov second method is used. The resulting condition is written in terms of linear matrix inequalities and it is dependent on the size of delays. This fact allows us to reduce the conservatism in the stability analysis of two-dimensional systems with state delays. A simulation example is given to illustrate the theoretical developments

Since IEC 61499 has reached the state of an international standard and a substantial body of research results exists the question of the authors as main intention for this paper was: Do the models of IEC 61499 solve all problems when thinking of usability and interoperability in heterogeneous system environments? The main problems discussed within the paper concern to the execution model defined for basic function blocks and the scheduling of events within function block networks.

In this paper, the problem of decentralized semi-global stabilization via output feedback for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems is studied. The systems addressed allow not only nonlinear interconnections but also nonlinear growth with unmeasurable states, which are not able to be stabilized by output feedback compensator in global sense. Based on high-gain observer, decentralized output feedback controllers are presented, which achieves semiglobal asymptotic stabilization of the large-scale nonlinear systems

Development of intelligent setting system for fracture based on x-ray image

In order to achieve micro-wound, intelligence and high efficiency for fracture setting, intelligent setting system for fracture is proposed in accordance with biomechanics and fracture therapy theory. In the comprehensive medical system based on C-shape-arm X-machine, image processing and analysis is the core, programmable logical controller and stepping motor are important driving parts controlling mechanical parts. Six degree of freedom dynamics sensor ensures to control accurately force and moment. On the foundation of analyzing X-ray image peculiarities, method of processing and analysis is put forward, combining time domain with frequency domain. After mining domain knowledge in depth, setting actions is quantized into three non-continuous steps and is parameterized into two angles and one distance aiming at femoral-neck fracture. Objective features are extracted by virtue of three power polymerization curved surface fitting. Master-slave reference frame is advanced to solve a question that basic standard for parameters calculation is difficult to be determined. At the same time, four-groupsixteen-frame algorithm is put forward to solve a problem that the load value is unable to be calculated and applied precisely in the process of treatment of delayed union and non-union of fracture. Clinic experience proved that the system can help orthopedist to correctly and reliably complete fracture setting. And the system has many advantages such as micro-wound, low medical cost and low infection ratio, in comparison with traditional operation setting and manipulator setting. © 2006 IOP Publishing Ltd.

The goal to control the dynamics of high-rise buildings either to ameliorate the damage or prevent their destruction when subject to an earthquake excitation has been subject of extensive research. All known control designs have advantages and disadvantages as well as operating limits. The application of sliding-mode control to controlling earthquake induced vibrations of a multi-story structural system as an active seismic compensation plus base isolation has been investigated. The performance has been compared to the one of traditional industrial controls, and relevant conclusions drawn. Simulation results, carried out using El Centro earthquake acceleration, have shown that the sliding mode control can decrease significantly displacements of the floors.

The problem of adaptive generalized predictive control which consists of output prediction errors for a class of switched systems is *** switching law is determined by the output predictive errors of a finite number of *** the single subsystem and multiple subsystems cases,it is proved that the given direct algorithm of generalized predictive control guarantees the global convergence of the *** algorithm overcomes the inherent drawbacks of the slow convergence and large transient errors for the conventional adaptive control.

On Asymptotic Stabilization of Linear Discrete-time Systems with Saturated State Feedback

As saturation is involved in the stabilizing feedback control of a linear discrete-time system, the original global-asymptotic stabilization (GAS) may drop to region-asymptotic stabilization (RAS). How to test if the saturated feedback system is GAS or RAS? The paper presents a criterion to answer this question, and describes an algorithm to calculate an invariant attractive ellipsoid for the RAS case. At last, the effectiveness of the approach is shown with examples.

Constructing a family of generalized Lyapunov functions, a new method is proposed to obtain new global attractive set and positive invariant set of the Lorenz chaotic system. The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.
