With the advantages of high fault tolerance, high reliability, high dynamic response and high power-to-weight ratio, the propfan engine is one of the most promising aircraft propulsion systems. In this paper, the model and control method of controlling the thrust of the propfan engine by controlling the blade pitch angle through the dual redundant electro-hydrostatic actuator (EHA) are constructed. The variable pitch propfan engine model is constructed by physical mathematical analysis, interpolation fitting and so on. The thrust control of variable pitch engine by dual redundancy EHA is completed by two-phase current control, fuzzy control and other control methods. The reliability of the constructed model and the better response characteristics of the design control method are verified by comparing the simulation experiment with the public data set. This paper provides a reference for thrust control of variable pitch propfan engine. © 2023 IEEE.

Spectrum Assignment of Stochastic Systems with Multiplicative Noise

This paper studies the spectrum assignment of a class of stochastic systems with multiplicative noise. A novel α-spectrum assignment is proposed for discrete-time and continuous-time stochastic systems with multiplicative noise. In particular, 0-spectrum assignment is equivalent to the pole assignment for the deterministic systems. The main contribution is two-fold: On the one hand, we present the conditions for α-spectrum assignment and the design of feedback controllers based on the system parameters. On the other hand, when the system parameters are unknown, we present a stochastic approximation algorithm to learn the feedback gains which guarantee the spectrum of the stochastic systems to achieve the predetermined value. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Sufficient conditions and limitations of equivalent partition in multiagent controllability

The emergence of the graphical characterization of multiagent controllability has raised several issues concerning how to directly establish controllability from topology structures. Arguably, one of the most serious challenges to this research field is the means through which equivalent partition, which plays an important role in graphical characterization, obtains sufficient controllability conditions; hence, how equivalent partition influences controllability has garnered considerable attention. This article specifically focuses on the sufficient conditions and limitations of equivalent partition in multiagent controllability. We provide two sufficient conditions:(i) the absence of the system matrix's eigenvectors that make the equation formed by the eigenvalues and eigenvectors hold and(ii) the addition of leaders by reducing the same number of followers. The first condition particularly exhibits a relation between two apparently unrelated parts: Tao's equation and controllability. We further propose a necessary and sufficient condition for controllability under n-node graphs(n 5) by taking advantage of iso-neighbor nodes, and analyze the resulting difficulties when n is greater than 5. Immediate corollaries of our results are obtained. Finally, we reveal the limitation of equivalent partition in controllability analysis. Several constructive examples demonstrate our results.

In this paper, the target controllability of multi-agent systems under directed weighted topology is studied. A graph partition is constructed, in which part of the nodes are divided into different cells, which are selected as leaders. The remaining nodes are divided by maximum equitable partition. By taking the advantage of reachable nodes and the graph partition, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the target controllability of a first-order multi-agent system. It is shown that the system is target controllable if and only if each cell contains no more than one target node and there are no unreachable target nodes, with δ-reachable nodes belonging to the same cell in the above graph partition. By means of controllability decomposition, a necessary and sufficient condition for the target controllability of the system is given, as well as a target node selection method to ensure the target controllability. In a high-order multi-agent system, once the topology, leaders and target nodes are fixed, the target controllability of the high-order multi-agent system is shown to be the same to the first-order one. This paper also considers a general linear system. If there is an independent strongly connected component that contains only target nodes and the general linear system is target controllable, then graph G is leader-target follower connected. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper addresses the secure distributed control problem of spacecraft formation flying systems, which are susceptible to malicious eavesdropping attacks from hostile adversaries. A novel secure implementation framework of distributed control is proposed. Firstly, the uniform quantizer is decomposed, and an encoder is developed to convert system states and intermediate control parameters into integers. Then, the sensitive system states are pre-encrypted using the Paillier cryptosystem. Subsequently, an encrypted distributed control scheme is presented, incorporating the encoded and encrypted data. Notably, all data transmitted via the communication network are encrypted. Moreover, the encrypted distributed control law is directly evaluated using the received information from neighboring spacecraft, which maintains data security even when the controller devices are wiretapped. Following this secure implementation framework, the proposed encrypted distributed control law protects the data security of each spacecraft, while enabling effective control coordination. The complex permeability of magnetic cores acts as a vital factor in electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering choke design and optimization. Many efforts have been reported for toroid cores, but fewer target those with other shapes, such as EE, EI, UU, and UI cores. Owing to their commonly used in planar EMI filters, determining the complex permeability of them is of significance. Targeting EE cores, this paper presents a flexible printed circuit board (PCB)-based fixture adapter tailored designed for performing the measurement, while the corresponding core permeability can be calculated through magnetic flux path length analysis. The experiments validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed methods, spanning a wide frequency range up to 120 MHz. ©2024 IEEE.

High-current out-of-phase closed bus is an essential link in the transmission of electric energy and is widely used in thermal power stations, hydropower stations and nuclear power plants. Although these busbars have the advantages of excellent dustproof effect and strong magnetic shielding, they are susceptible to insulator aging and damage in long-term operation, posing a potential safety risk to the power grid. Due to the enclosed space inside the bus and the complexity of external maintenance tasks, manual inspection has problems such as inefficiency and low safety. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes an improved detection algorithm based on Yolov7 for insulator defect detection in hydropower station scenarios. Because of the particularity of Yolov7 network structure and application scenarios, this paper proposes a Channel Feature Enhancement module to enhance the channel representation ability of the network. In addition, an Edge Feature Enhancement module is introduced to improve the boundary detection of insulators by enhancing the contrast between the target and the background. Considering the limitations of existing studies in specific scenarios and the scarcity of dataset, this paper constructs and accurately annotates an insulator defect detection dataset applied to hydropower station scenarios. Experimental results show that the improved-Yolov7-tiny algorithm in this paper achieves a balance between accuracy and inference speed. © 2025 IEEE.

With the rapid advancements in space offensive and defensive countermeasure technologies, the scope of international confrontation has expanded beyond the traditional domains of sea, land, and air, reaching into the realm of space. In modern military warfare, the focus has shifted from solely physical and informational aspects to include the cognitive domain. Within this domain, intent recognition emerges as a crucial technology, offering tactical insights and decision-making guidance for future wars. This paper presents an intention recognition algorithm for space target behaviors, utilizing a long short-term memory (LSTM) network. By incorporating time series motion parameters and the relative relationships between enemy and friendly satellite, the algorithm identifies the tactical intentions behind space target orbital behaviors. Additionally, a space target attack and defense scenario simulation environment is established using MATLAB and C-W equations, enabling the creation of a dataset for space target recognition. Through the proposed method, the simulation effectively discerns the orbital behavior intentions of space targets, providing valuable guidance for battlefield decision-making. © 2023 IEEE.

In the measurement of nonlinear power capacitor, large DC (direct current) voltage and small AC (alternate current) sinusoidal voltage connected in series are applied to the nonlinear capacitor. In this situation, measurement precision of the capacitor AC sinusoidal voltage and current are critical to the accurate calculation of nonlinear capacitance parameter. Owing to the voltage level diversity, voltage regulation circuit is needed between the measurement terminals and measurement instrument. Though deliberately designed, measurement circuit introduced amplitude and phase error is inevitable. In this paper, an accurate AC sinusoidal small signal measurement method is proposed to promote the measurement precision. The small signal model of the voltage regulation circuit is deduced first. The amplitude and phase angle of the measured sinusoidal small signal is calculated by software phase lock loop (SPLL) method, after which the amplitude and phase angle error is compensated based on the deduced small signal model of the voltage regulation and filter measuring circuit and frequency response method. The correctness and effectiveness of the proposed accurate AC sinusoidal small signal measurement method has been verified by simulation experiment. © 2024 SPIE.
