In recent years, the multi-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been gradually applied to the electromechanical actuation (EMA) because of its winding redundancy and high reliability. In this paper, the compound Halbach magnet array is proposed for six-phase PMSM. The magnet array can ensure that the magnetic poles are almost free of magnetic flux leakage, thus it can reduce the PMSM’s dependence on the rotor iron core, completely eliminate the rotor iron core and improve the dynamic characteristics of the EMA. The simulation works are conducted to analyze and optimize the key parameters of the compound magnet array, and the results show that dimension parameter and inclined magnetization angle can further improve the electromagnetic torque. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Exploring the Evolution of Physics Cognition in Video Generation: A Survey

Recent advancements in video generation have witnessed significant progress, especially with the rapid advancement of diffusion models. Despite this, their deficiencies in physical cognition have gradually received widespread attention - generated content often violates the fundamental laws of physics, falling into the dilemma of "visual realism but physical absurdity". Researchers began to increasingly recognize the importance of physical fidelity in video generation and attempted to integrate heuristic physical cognition such as motion representations and physical knowledge into generative systems to simulate real-world dynamic scenarios. Considering the lack of a systematic overview in this field, this survey aims to provide a comprehensive summary of architecture designs and their applications to fill this gap. Specifically, we discuss and organize the evolutionary process of physical cognition in video generation from a cognitive science perspective, while proposing a three-tier taxonomy: 1) basic schema perception for generation, 2) passive cognition of physical knowledge for generation, and 3) active cognition for world simulation, encompassing state-of-the-art methods, classical paradigms, and benchmarks. Subsequently, we emphasize the inherent key challenges in this domain and delineate potential pathways for future research, contributing to advancing the frontiers of discussion in both academia and industry. Through structured review and interdisciplinary analysis, this survey aims to provide directional guidance for developing interpretable, controllable, and physically consistent video generation paradigms, thereby propelling generative models from the stage of "visual mimicry" towards a new phase of "human-like physical comprehension". This paper addresses the full-state prescribed performance-based consensus problem for double-integrator multi-agent systems with jointly connected topologies. To improve the transient performance, a distributed prescribed performance control protocol consisting of the transformed relative position and the transformed relative velocity is proposed, where the communication topology satisfies the jointly connected assumption. Different from the existing literatures, two independent transient performance specifications imposed on relative positions and relative velocities can be guaranteed simultaneously. A numerical example is ultimately used to validate the effectiveness of proposed protocol. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Deep perception of the unmanned surface vehicle's surroundings is an inaccessible part of its fully autonomous navigation mission. The existing methods, whether based on traditional stereo matching or deep learning, do not fully consider the characteristics of water environment, resulting in severe error depths in weak textures (sky, calm lake) and water reflections regions, that increases the risk of running aground or collision. What is worse that there is not a public dataset for depth estimation in the water environment. Therefore, this work proposes a self-supervised model for depth estimation named Water Depth Perception Network (WDNet) to address these problems. The decoder of this network has a wider receptive field and can effectively handle the depth error in the weak texture region. Besides, the WDNet is trained with a novel and effective loss function which assist the network to reduce errors in sky and water region, and some indexes are proposed to evaluate the model's performances in sky and water region. Finally, our proposed WDNet achieves a 0.1056 absolute relative error in ranging, the average number of error pixels in the sky area drops from 15803.87 to 580.91, which only accounted for 0.29% of the image, and the error in water region drops from 51.04 to 6.75, all of them are superior to the performance of baseline model. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

There are always some 'key' nodes in a big complex network, which can joint the most connected subgraphs. How to identify these nodes, finding a minimum set of nodes to attack for reducing the size of residual network's Largest Connected Component(LCC) to break up the original network, has become a research hotspot. Therefore, a method for determining the 'key' nodes based on reinforcement learning framework and supervised learning model is proposed. This algorithm can not only utilize the dynamic exploration ability of reinforcement learning to collect a rich training dataset, but also take advantage of the characteristics that supervised learning is adaptive and has strong generalization ability to possess high efficiency and strong robustness. In order to further improve the algorithm's performance, ϵ-greedy mechanism is used to explore more network states. The experiment results show that given the same fraction of removed nodes, our algorithm can make the residual LCC smaller in various networks which is superior to the state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of effectiveness and generalization. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Since nonlinear sandwich systems with input constraints are difficult to establish their model accurately, a model-free adaptive predictive control (MFAPC) based on compact format dynamic linearization is proposed. The criterion function of MFAPC algorithm is applied to build a quadratic programming problem with input constraints. The optimal control input signal can be obtained by solving the quadratic programming problem. In order to eliminate the adverse effect of random measurement noise on solving the optimal input signal and the stability of tracking control results, the tracking differentiator is used to estimate the output measurement signal. The stability of the control algorithm is also analyzed and proved. Finally, the merit of the proposed control algorithm is verified by example test.

In this paper, an improved whale optimization algorithm (IWOA) is proposed to solve the problem of independent path planning for mobile robots, which makes mobile robots move along the optimal path. By combining inverse initial coding optimization with Levy flight, The classic whale optimization algorithm (WOA) was improved, the optimization ability of WOA and the solving ability of optimal path point are improved, then the local optimal solutions are maximally avoided. Finally, by comparing the IWOA with the path planning effect diagram of the classical WOA through simulation, the feasibility and efficiency of the IWOA in path planning are verified. © 2022 ACM.

We present a large deviation theory that characterizes the exponential estimate for rare events in stochastic dynamical systems in the limit of weak *** aim to consider a next-to-leading-order approximation for more accurate calculation of the mean exit time by computing large deviation prefactors with the aid of machine *** specifically,we design a neural network framework to compute quasipotential,most probable paths and prefactors based on the orthogonal decomposition of a vector *** corroborate the higher effectiveness and accuracy of our algorithm with two toy *** experiments demonstrate its powerful functionality in exploring the internal mechanism of rare events triggered by weak random fluctuations.

Telemedicine plays an important role in Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19).The virtual surgery simulation system,as a key component in telemedicine,requires to compute in ***,this paper proposes a realtime cutting model based on finite element and order reduction method,which improves the computational speed and ensure the real-time *** proposed model uses the finite element model to construct a deformation model of the virtual ***,a model order reduction method combining proper orthogonal decomposition and Galerkin projection is employed to reduce the amount of deformation *** addition,the cutting path is formed according to the collision intersection position of the surgical instrument and the lesion area of the virtual ***,the Bezier curve is adopted to draw the incision outline after the virtual lung has been ***,the simulation system is set up on the PHANTOM OMNI force haptic feedback device to realize the cutting simulation of the virtual *** results show that the proposed model can enhance the real-time performance of telemedicine,reduce the complexity of the cutting simulation and make the incision smoother and more natural.

It is essential to achieve real-time fault detection of the industrial process to reduce the occurrence of accidents during the industrial process. However, there are some problems in the actual monitoring process, such as the instability of sensor measurement, losing packet while transferring data, which causes problems like missing data and outliers while sampling from actual monitoring data. In addition, the monitoring data are interrelated in time series. Thus, a fault detection method based on DMPPCA model is proposed in this study. DMPPCA can not only consider the above problems at the same time, but also determine the dimension of latent variables automatically. Finally, the effect of proposed DMPPCA model was validated by a three-phase flow facility. © 2022 IEEE.
