To solve distributed optimization efficiently with various constraints and nonsmooth functions, we propose a distributed mirror descent algorithm with embedded Bregman damping, as a generalization of conventional distributed projection-based algorithms. In fact, our continuous-time algorithm well inherits good capabilities of mirror descent approaches to rapidly compute explicit solutions to the problems with some specific constraint structures. Moreover, we rigorously prove the convergence of our algorithm, along with the boundedness of the trajectory and the accuracy of the solution. © 2021, CC0.

As a production quality index of hematite grinding process,particle size(PS)is hard to be measured in real *** achieve the PS estimation,this paper proposes a novel data driven model of PS using stochastic configuration network(SCN)with robust technique,namely,robust SCN(RSCN).Firstly,this paper proves the universal approximation property of RSCN with weighted least squares ***,three robust algorithms are presented by employing M-estimation with Huber loss function,M-estimation with interquartile range(IQR)and nonparametric kernel density estimation(NKDE)function respectively to set the penalty *** experiments are first carried out based on the UCI standard data sets to verify the effectiveness of these methods,and then the data-driven PS model based on the robust algorithms are established and *** results show that the RSCN has an excellent performance for the PS estimation.

Regret and cumulative constraint violation analysis for online convex optimization with long term constraints

This paper considers online convex optimization with long term constraints, where constraints can be violated in intermediate rounds, but need to be satisfied in the long run. The cumulative constraint violation is used as the metric to measure constraint violations, which excludes the situation that strictly feasible constraints can compensate the effects of violated constraints. A novel algorithm is first proposed and it achieves an O(Tmax{c,1-c}) bound for static regret and an O(T (1-c)/2) bound for cumulative constraint violation, where c ϵ (0, 1) is a user-defined trade-off parameter, and thus has improved performance compared with existing results. Both static regret and cumulative constraint violation bounds are reduced to O(log(T )) when the loss functions are strongly convex, which also improves existing results. In order to achieve the optimal regret with respect to any comparator sequence, another algorithm is then proposed and it achieves the optimal O( p T (1 + PT )) regret and an O(√T) cumulative constraint violation, where PT is the path-length of the comparator sequence. Novel Diffusion Models for Multimodal 3D Hand Trajectory Prediction

Predicting hand motion is critical for understanding human intentions and bridging the action space between human movements and robot manipulations. Existing hand trajectory prediction (HTP) methods forecast the future hand waypoints in 3D space conditioned on past egocentric observations. However, such models are only designed to accommodate 2D egocentric video inputs. There is a lack of awareness of multimodal environmental information from both 2D and 3D observations, hindering the further improvement of 3D HTP performance. In addition, these models overlook the synergy between hand movements and headset camera egomotion, either predicting hand trajectories in isolation or encoding egomotion only from past frames. To address these limitations, we propose novel diffusion models (MMTwin) for multimodal 3D hand trajectory prediction. MMTwin is designed to absorb multimodal information as input encompassing 2D RGB images, 3D point clouds, past hand waypoints, and text prompt. Besides, two latent diffusion models, the egomotion diffusion and the HTP diffusion as twins, are integrated into MMTwin to predict camera egomotion and future hand trajectories concurrently. We propose a novel hybrid Mamba-Transformer module as the denoising model of the HTP diffusion to better fuse multimodal features. The experimental results on three publicly available datasets and our self-recorded data demonstrate that our proposed MMTwin can predict plausible future 3D hand trajectories compared to the state-of-the-art baselines, and generalizes well to unseen environments. Since the working condition affects the chemical reactions in a blast furnace (BF), the relationship between the blast-supply parameters and the gas utilization ratio (GUR) varies with different working conditions. This paper presents a GUR prediction model based on working condition classification. First, this paper analyzes the influence of working conditions on the state parameters of a BF. Then, a fuzzy clustering method is used to identify the working condition by using some state parameters. Next, the GUR prediction model was designed based on an extreme learning machine under different working conditions. Finally, the simulation results verified the effectiveness of this method.

In this article, the observer-based H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control problem is studied for a class of singular perturbed systems with randomly switching nonlinearities. During the modeling process, a set of binary random sequences is introduced to describe the random behaviors of the nonlinear switching encountered in engineering practice. Considering the singular perturbation parameter (SPP), an observer-based H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ PID controller is constructed for the concerned singularly perturbed systems (SPSs), where the state information is estimated. To improve communication efficiency and reduce resource waste, a dynamic event-triggered mechanism is employed during the measurement transmission. Meanwhile, an SPP-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is utilized to derive conditions under which the closed-loop system is guaranteed to be stochastically stable with the desired H ∞ $$ {H}_{\infty } $$ performance under a specified upper bound on the SPP. All the desired observer and controller gains are determined by solving a set of matrix inequalities. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the suggested PID control method are verified through a simulation example.

The paper describes the research results in the field of developing the methods of the synthesis of fault-tolerant discrete devices. The authors propose to use the signal correction structure based on duplication with the integrated control circuit in the synthesis of discrete devices. A generalized structure of signal correction based on duplication and control by some diagnostic feature is described. Three typical signal correction structures based on duplication are introduced. The first structure is based on the control of calculations by repetition codes. The second structure involves the control of calculations by parity codes. The third structure is based on the control of calculations by a special code with summation of weighted transitions, which was also developed by the authors. In the first structure, any errors are detected at the outputs of the controlled object. In the second structure, any errors with odd multiplicities are detected. In the third structure, any errors are detected, except for errors with the maximum multiplicity (which distort all signals). In the experiment with MCNC Benchmarks, it is shown that the first structure is comparable in implementation complexity to the traditional structure based on triple modular redundancy. Moreover, the structure with the control by repetition codes is slightly inferior to it in complexity. The second structure is much simpler, but correction of any errors is not guaranteed. The third structure makes it possible to construct simpler fault-tolerant devices, while guaranteeing the detection of any errors, with the exception of errors associated with distortions of all output signals of the checking device. Such errors are very rare on the outputs of real devices. The second structure can be used for checking groups of independent outputs by parity codes in the control circuit, which allows detecting any errors in the controlled object. Zeroth-order algorithms for stochastic distributed nonconvex optimization

In this paper, we consider a stochastic distributed nonconvex optimization problem with the cost function being distributed over n agents having access only to zeroth-order (ZO) information of the cost. This problem has various machine learning applications. As a solution, we propose two distributed ZO algorithms, in which at each iteration each agent samples the local stochastic ZO oracle at two points with a time-varying smoothing parameter. We show that the proposed algorithms achieve the linear speedup convergence rate O(√p=(nT)) for smooth cost functions under the state-dependent variance assumptions which are more general than the commonly used bounded variance and Lipschitz assumptions, and O(p=(nT)) convergence rate when the global cost function additionally satisfies the Polyak-Lojasiewicz (P-L) condition in addition, where p and T are the dimension of the decision variable and the total number of iterations, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first linear speedup result for distributed ZO algorithms, which enables systematic processing performance improvements by adding more agents. We also show that the proposed algorithms converge linearly under the relative bounded second moment assumptions and the P-L condition. We demonstrate through numerical experiments the efficiency of our algorithms on generating adversarial examples from deep neural networks in comparison with baseline and recently proposed centralized and distributed ZO algorithms. The measurement of carbon emissions on the customer side is a prerequisite for low-carbon dispatch and carbon trading, and the calculation of carbon emissions per kWh is a necessary condition for building a low-carbon power system. In this paper, we propose a refined measurement model for customer-side carbon emissions based on the carbon emission stream theory. Firstly, the tidal flow distribution in the distribution network is calculated by using the forward-back substitution method with distributed power sources. Secondly, the carbon potential vector, carbon potential factor, and correlation matrix of carbon flow at the distribution network side are calculated. According to the obtained calculation results, a fine-grained carbon emission calculation model for distribution network side including PV and energy storage is proposed to be constructed on the bases of carbon emission flow theory. This model can delineate the correlation between the carbon emissions of the generating units and the carbon flows of each load on the user side. Finally, the IEEE33 node and a 10 kV feeder model of a station area in Anhui Province are chosen as simulation objects. The adaptability and calculation speed of the distribution-side carbon flow calculation model is analyzed. The results show that the calculation model in this paper can solve the distribution-side carbon flow with energy storage and distributed power sources quickly and accurately.

Irrational-behavior-proof(IBP) conditions are important aspects to keep stable cooperation in dynamic cooperative games. In this paper, we focus on the establishment of IBP ***, the relations of three kinds of IBP conditions are described. An example is given to show that they may not hold, which could lead to the fail of cooperation. Then, based on a kind of limit characteristic function, all these conditions are proved to be true along the cooperative trajectory in a transformed cooperative game. It is surprising that these facts depend only upon the individual rationalities of players for the Shapley value and the group rationalities of players for the core. Finally,an illustrative example is given.
