This paper investigates the speed regulation control of switched reluctance motor (SRM) systems. To improve the antidisturbance performance of SRM, a composite non-smooth control strategy is proposed. First, the structure of SRM is analyzed, and a simplified nonlinear model is obtained based on a segmented representation of the varying phase inductance. A virtual control function is introduced to represent the nonlinear part of the torque equation, whose inverse function is cascaded to linearized the nonlinear model. Second, a generalized proportional integral observer (GPIO) is constructed to estimate the lumped disturbance of the system, which is used for feedforward compensation design. Finally, a composite speed controller is designed based on a combination of finite time proportional feedback and feed-forward compensation based on GPIO (FTP+GPIO). The speed error closed-loop system can be regarded as a first-order finite time control system with bounded disturbances. Strict analysis shows that the proposed scheme can improve the anti-disturbance performance of the closed-loop system. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results. Moreover, it is compared with proportional feedback combining feed-forward compensation (P+GPIO) method and proportional integral (PI) control method. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

With the rapid development of cloud computing and control theory,a new paradigm of networked control systems named cloud control systems has been proposed to satisfy the requirements of large-scale and complex *** is critical to manage large-scale tasks with personalized needs on the large number of heterogeneous ***,current TCP/IPbased addressing approach does not consider the runtime constraints of tasks,resulting highly concurrent service search,and communication between tasks will become the system *** this paper,we propose a task property encoding method which takes multi-dimensional properties into *** on the proposed encoding method,we design a uniform addressing method for tasks in the ***,we experimentally demonstrate the effectiveness of task property encoding,and the unified addressing method for tasks is more effective than other methods in the case of high task concurrency.

Smoke is a distinctive feature of pre-fire combustion and it is critical to prevent fires by detecting smoke. Previous work has demonstrated that deep learning methods have a wide range of applications in the field of smoke detection. However, existing methods still have some problems, i.e., it is difficult to balance the relationship between accuracy and speed. In order to solve the existing problems, we proposed Efficient Temporal Alignment Network (ETAN) for Video Smoke Detection. Feature Aggregation Module (FAM) was designed to extract the dynamic features between frames, and we proposed Recursive Memory Feature Update (RMFU) module to maintain the features of past frames and fuse the current features to boost detection performance. Finally, experiments demonstrated that the proposed method improved about 3.8 mAP compared with base detector with little increase in the number of parameters, and outperformed all the single-frame detection methods with the same amount of parameters. Compared with video smoke detection methods, the detection achieved close to the same accuracy while 6.1 times faster than multi-frame methods. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

Industrial alarm systems play crucial roles in assessing the production status and ensuring process safety. However, the presence of alarm floods can make alarm systems partially or fully fail, and thus would cause serious consequences. Alarm prediction, as an advanced approach to address alarm floods, offers operators decision supports when an alarm flood occurs. Existing alarm prediction methods requires that the output alarm sequences are of a fixed dimension, making such methods unable to adapt to the changing alarm rate. Accordingly, this paper proposes an alarm prediction model based on Transformer. The proposed model can predict alarm sequences with variational dimensions and can also achieve remarkable accuracy. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by a case study with data from the Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) simulation model. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Currently, the advanced geological prediction for the main tunnel from the parallel tunnel often employs parallel deduction of detection conclusions, which faces issues such as a lack of diverse geological exploration information, a lack of analysis of geological structures and poor accuracy. In this paper, an integrated prediction method for unfavorable geology in main tunnel considering the geological conditions of parallel tunnel is proposed, which consists of three stages. In the first stage, based on the forecast mileage range and tunnel excavation conditions, the process is divided into four specific cases. In the second stage, it deduces the geology of the main tunnel along the orientation of rock strata occurrence or joint to parallel tunnel and selects the results of the rock strata occurrence or joint deduction according to the distance of the deduction. In the last stage, it deduces the geological conditions of parallel tunnel face and the integration of geophysical and drilling information for predictive conclusions based on the four specific cases. The proposed method offers higher prediction accuracy for rock mass integrity and surrounding rock grades compared to parallel deduction method. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigates the finite-time stabilization of a class of Markov jump systems (MJSs). To regulate the limited network resource, a probabilistic event-triggered mechanism (PETM) is initially proposed. Based on the output of PETM, mode-dependent state feedback controllers are designed to obtain the closed-loop system (CLS). A set of novel Lyapunov functional are created to analyze the finite-time stability of the CLS. Afterward, the design algorithm is established to calculate the controller gains. Finally, simulations are provided to verify the proposed results. © 2022 IEEE.

Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is extensively employed for subsurface road target detection, offering benefits such as convenience, nondestructive testing, rapid data acquisition, and superior resolution. Despite these advantages, interpreting GPR data often depends on the expertise of professionals, resulting in low detection efficiency and low accuracy. To address these challenges, this study introduces an intelligent detection technique for GPR images, utilizing an enhanced YOLOv5 framework. First, considering the problems of the small amount of GPR image datasets and the unclear characteristics caused by the complex underground media, a Dense-C3 module is built by utilizing the structure of DenseNet to enhance the network's capability for extracting features. Subsequently, a channel and spatial hybrid attention module is introduced into the backbone for feature refinement and improving the efficiency. Finally, the multi-class focal loss function is devised to enhance the precision in cases of imbalanced sample classes. Experimental results show that the proposed model surpasses the original YOLOv5 model and various contemporary advanced models. © 2023 IEEE.

Alarm systems are core components in large complex industrial facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation. Traditional univariate alarm system design methods ignore the correlation of process variables and thus may generate massive false alarms and missed alarms. An effective way of designing a multivariate alarm system is to establish the normal operating zones (NOZs) based on historical data under normal conditions. These NOZs serve as the basis for setting alarm limits in multivariate alarm systems. Given that the actual correlations between related variables are frequently unknown, a robust modeling approach is necessary to effectively handle both convex and non-convex NOZs. Thus, this paper presents a systematic method for nonconvex operating zone establishment and alarm limit design for multivariate alarm systems. A multivariate non-convex NOZ is established based on grid clustering. Then, the multidimensional grid boundary is extracted and used to determine the alarm limits for real-time samples. A numerical example is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Geological exploration is essential for economic and social progress, with lithology identification being a key technology that improves exploration precision and resource development efficiency. This paper presents a real-time identification method of formation lithology in drilling process based on pre-training language model, which is divided into three stages. In this first stage, the drilling data undergoes rigorous cleaning, feature selection, and normalization to eliminate noise and anomalies. In the second stage, key model inputs such as weight on bit (WOB), rate of penetration (ROP), rotation speed (RPM), torque, and pump volume (P) are identified through detailed drilling mechanism analysis. In the last stage, a real-time identification method of formation lithology in drilling process based on pre-training language model is proposed, which realizes high-precision real-time identification in drilling process. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by comparison with common methods. © 2024 IEEE.

As an essential component of modern industry, steel strips play an indispensable role in various fields and serve as a crucial raw material in industrial production. However, due to various factors such as production technology, the surface of steel strips often exhibits unavoidable defects like scratches and crazings. Therefore, implementing online surface quality inspection for steel strips is one effective way to enhance product quality and production efficiency. This paper proposes a detection method for surface defects in steel strips based on YOLO. By optimizing the network structure of YOLOv5s, the performance on the NEU-DET dataset has improved by nearly 4 % compared to the original network's mAP value. Experimental results indicate that the detection performance of this method is significantly superior to the current mainstream lightweight detection networks. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.
