Super-resolution(SR)reconstruction addresses the challenge of enhancing image resolution,which is critical in domains such as medical imaging,remote sensing,and computational ***-quality image reconstruction is essential for enhancing visual details and improving the accuracy of subsequent *** methods,including interpolation techniques and basic CNNs,often fail to recover fine textures and detailed structures,particularly in complex or high-frequency *** this paper,we present Deep Supervised Swin Transformer U-Net(DSSTU-Net),a novel architecture designed to improve image SR by integrating Residual Swin Transformer Blocks(RSTB)and Deep Supervision(DS)mechanisms into the U-Net ***-Net leverages the Swin Transformer’s multi-scale attention capabilities for robust feature extraction,while DS at various stages of the network ensures better gradient propagation and refined feature *** ST block introduces a hierarchical self-attention mechanism,allowing the model to capture both local and global context,which is crucial for high-quality SR ***,DS applied at multiple layers in the decoder enables direct supervision on intermediate feature maps,accelerating convergence and improving *** DSSTU-Net architecture was rigorously evaluated on the DIV2K,LSDIR,SET5,and SET14 datasets,demonstrating its superior ability to generate high-quality ***,the potential applications of this model extend beyond image enhancement,with promising use cases in medical imaging,satellite imagery,and industrial inspection,where high-quality image reconstruction plays a crucial role in accurate diagnostics and operational *** work provides a reference method for future research on advanced image restoration techniques.

Passivity and Injection Current Quality Enhancement for Single Inverter-Side Current Feedback LCL-Type Grid-Following Inverters

Single inverter-side current feedback (ICF) LCL-type grid-following inverters (GFLIs) have gained popularity in industrial applications owing to their convenience in over-current protection and economy. They, however, suffer from poor injection current quality in the presence of distorted grid voltage conditions and the risk of oscillation when the variation of the grid impedance pushes the system resonant frequency beyond fs/6. To this end, this article presents a virtual grid-side current control (VGCC) scheme with only a single ICF and a repetitive controller (RC) to improve the quality of injection current to comply with the grid code. In the proposed scheme, a differentiator is applied to obtain the capacitor current to construct the virtual grid-side current, and capacitor voltage feedforward active damping (CVF-AD) is also applied to facilitate the output admittance reshaping. Controller parameters are tuned under passivity constraints on the output admittance of the GFLI. With the proposed scheme and parameter design guidelines, both high injection current quality and the approaching Nyquist frequency stable region for single ICF LCL-type GFLIs are simultaneously achieved without introducing any extra hardware costs. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by experimental results. © 2013 IEEE.

Encoded Marker Clusters for Auto-Labeling in Optical Motion Capture

Marker-based optical motion capture (MoCap) is a vital tool in applications such as virtual production, and movement sciences. However, reconstructing scattered MoCap data into real motion sequences is challenging, and data processing is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Here we propose a novel framework for MoCap auto-labeling and matching. In this framework, we designed novel clusters of reflective markers called auto-labeling encoded marker clusters (AEMCs), including clusters with an explicit header (AEMCs-E) and an implicit header (AEMCs-I). Combining cluster design and coding theory gives each cluster a unique codeword for MoCap auto-labeling and matching. Moreover, we provide a method of mapping and decoding for cluster labeling. The labeling results are only determined by the intrinsic characteristics of the clusters instead of the skeleton structure or posture of the subjects. Compared with commercial software and data-driven methods, our method has better labeling accuracy in heterogeneous targets and unknown marker layouts, which demonstrates the promising application of motion capture in humans, rigid or flexible robots. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Investigation of Dynamic Space Charge Effects in Pulse-Dilation Framing Camera Utilizing Dilation pulses

The dilation pulse (DP) is a critical factor influencing temporal performance of magnetic focusing pulse-dilation framing camera (PDFC). As DP propagates along photocathode (PC), it not only induces variations in acceleration voltage but also results in different drift times, dilated ratios, and motion radii for electron pulse (EP) at various PC positions. This significantly affects spatiotemporal dispersion (STD) of the dynamic space charge effect (SCE) during EP drift process. To address issue, the drift step recovery diodes (DSRD) are employed to design DP. By establishing connection with the dynamic spatiotemporal characteristics of EP, the impact on dynamic SCE is analyzed. Research results indicate that the DSRD circuit can generate four DPs with peak voltages ranging from -3.508 kV to -1.819 kV, rise times between 236 ps and 288 ps, and average amplitude change rates from 22.36% to 35.0%, as well as slope change rates from 40.07% to 62.80%. When a specific DP is applied to the 50 mm PC, the transient temporal dispersion of SCE during EP drift process is inversely proportional to the electron density and drift velocity. Transient spatial dispersion is significantly influenced by EP's radius and its ratio to the axial width, decreasing as both factors increase. When the four DPs are individually applied to PC, during EP drift process, the DP with the smallest amplitude change rate and the largest slope change rate reduces the average temporal dispersion along PC from 0.764 ps to 0.590 ps and decreases nonuniformity from 40.69% to 27.73%. The average spatial dispersion is reduced from 21.87 μm to 15.21 μm, and non-uniformity drops from 39.94% to 26.13%. These findings provide basis for analyzing and improving the STD and uniformity of dynamic SCE. Additionally, they offer research insights into integrating high-power pulse technology into ultrafast diagnostic applications. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Controllability of heterogeneous networked sampled-data systems

This study investigates the controllability of a general heterogeneous networked sampled-data system(HNSS) consisting of nonidentical node systems, where the inner coupling between any pair of nodes can be described by a unique *** signals on control and transmission channels are sampled and held by zero-order holders, and the control sampling period of each node can be different. Necessary and sufficient controllability conditions are developed for the general HNSS, using the Smith normal form and matrix equations, respectively. The HNSS in specific topology or dynamic settings is discussed subsequently with easier-to-verify conditions derived. These heterogeneous factors have been determined to independently or jointly affect the controllability of networked sampled-data systems. Notably, heterogeneous sampling periods have the potential to enhance the overall controllability, but not for systems with some special dynamics. When the node dynamics are heterogeneous,the overall system can be controllable even if it is topologically uncontrollable. In addition, in several typical heterogeneous sampled-data multi-agent systems, pathological sampling of single-node systems will necessarily cause overall uncontrollability.

Autonomous embodied navigation task generation from natural language dialogues

Robots are increasingly being deployed in densely populated environments, such as homes, hotels, and office buildings, where they rely on explicit instructions from humans to perform tasks. However, complex tasks often require multiple instructions and prolonged monitoring, which can be time-consuming and demanding for users. Despite this, there is limited research on enabling robots to autonomously generate tasks based on real-life scenarios. Advanced intelligence necessitates robots to autonomously observe and analyze their environment and then generate tasks autonomously to fulfill human requirements without explicit commands. To address this gap, we propose the autonomous generation of navigation tasks using natural language dialogues. Specifically, a robot autonomously generates tasks by analyzing dialogues involving multiple persons in a real office environment to facilitate the completion of item transportation between various *** propose the leveraging of a large language model(LLM) through chain-of-thought prompting to generate a navigation sequence for a robot from dialogues. We also construct a benchmark dataset consisting of 625 multiperson dialogues using the generation capability of LLMs. Evaluation results and real-world experiments in an office building demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Event-based nonsingular fixed-time containment control for nonlinear multiagent systems with dynamic uncertainties

Owing to the extensive applications in many areas such as networked systems,formation flying of unmanned air vehicles,and coordinated manipulation of multiple robots,the distributed containment control for nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) has received considerable attention,for example [1,2].Although the valued studies in [1,2] investigate containment control problems for MASs subject to nonlinearities,the proposed distributed nonlinear protocols only achieve the asymptotic *** a crucial performance indicator for distributed containment control of MASs,the fast convergence is conducive to achieving better control accuracy [3].The work in [4] first addresses the backstepping-based adaptive fuzzy fixed-time containment tracking problem for nonlinear high-order MASs with unknown external ***,the designed fixedtime control protocol [4] cannot escape the singularity problem in the backstepping-based adaptive control *** is well known,the singularity problem has become an inherent problem in the adaptive fixed-time control design,which may cause the unbounded control inputs and even the instability of controlled ***,how to solve the nonsingular fixed-time containment control problem for nonlinear MASs is still open and awaits breakthrough to the best of our knowledge.

Hybrid prediction model for strip width based on improved mechanism and data-driven model

Accurate prediction of strip width is a key factor related to the quality of hot rolling ***,based on strip width formation mechanism model within strip rolling process,an improved width mechanism calculation model is delineated for the optimization of process parameters via the particle swarm optimization ***,a hybrid strip width prediction model is proposed by effectively combining the respective advantages of the improved mechanism model and the data-driven *** acknowledgment of prerequisite for positive error in strip width prediction,an adaptive width error compensation algorithm is ***,comparative simulation experiments are designed on the actual rolling dataset after completing data cleaning and feature *** experimental results show that the hybrid prediction model proposed has superior precision and robustness compared with the improved mechanism model and the other eight common data-driven models and satisfies the needs of practical ***,the hybrid model can realize the complementary advantages of the mechanism model and the data-driven model,effectively alleviating the problems of difficult to improve the accuracy of the mechanism model and poor interpretability of the data-driven model,which bears significant practical implications for the research of strip width control.

Highly Integrated Hybrid Inductive and Capacitive Power Transfer System with Asymmetrical Printed-Circuit-Board-Based Self-Resonator

This article presents a highly integrated and compact hybrid wireless power transfer (WPT) system with asymmetrical printed-circuit-board (PCB) based self-resonators. The PCB-based self-resonant coupler consists of four PCB-coil plates with two different sizes, which can work as the transmitter/receiver for inductive power transfer as well as the capacitive plates for capacitive power transfer. With a typical stacked four-plate configuration, both inductive and capacitive mutual couplings are achieved between transmitter and receiver, contributing to a highly compact and integrated self-resonant hybrid WPT system without any external compensation components. Detailed theoretical analysis and system modeling are provided based on the two-port parameter theory and a 300 W hybrid WPT prototype is implemented with an asymmetrical coupler consisting of 210 and 140 mm PCB-coil plates. The implemented hybrid WPT system is tested at 80, 60, 37, and 12 mm with self-resonant working frequencies of 3.845, 3.75, 3.57, and 3.19 MHz, respectively, and the system performance in terms of output current property, power transfer capability, dc-dc efficiency, and misalignment tolerance are evaluated in details, which demonstrate a peak dc-dc efficiency of 87.3% with 155.7 W at 12 mm and 86.7% with 237.5 W at 37 mm, validating the effectiveness of the designed hybrid WPT system. © 1986-2012 IEEE.
