Subgroup discovery algorithm is a new data mining technique, which plays an important role in the induction of large data areas. First, the basic concepts of subgroup discovery algorithm and fuzzy system are introduced. Then subgroup discovery iterative genetic algorithm(SDIGA) is studied. Genetic fuzzy system is used in traditional subgroup discovery algorithm, the way that a weighted sum of multiple objective functions is taken in fitness function. After continuous crossover genetic, the best description of the rules is obtained. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the dataset of compressive strength of concrete in UCI database, and the experiment results show the effectiveness of SDIGA subgroup discovery algorithm.

Subway emergency events such as fire, accident disaster, terrorism attack, and so on often prompt passenger to rush to exits, stampedes may occur, leading fatal, injured, and negative effect. Thus quickly dispersing crowd population to safe places in the least time while managing to avoid congestion and/or stampede is an important task with the occurrence of contingency events. This study presents a methodological framework for developing decision support system(DSS) to support route-choice for passengers who will pass/arrive the incident station in urban rail traffic networks. The objective of this paper is to present a unified framework to develop a DSS for supporting a vital function of providing routechoice information, namely the management of measures insuring passenger evacuate from incident station as soon as possible, and choose satisfied path and route to keep away from the station, and manager disseminating guidance information to all kinds of display terminals to passengers. The proposed framework is used in order to develop a DSS for managing passenger guidance and related information disseminating operations for emergency conditions in Beijing subway.

An analysis method for correlation between catenary irregularities and pantograph-catenary contact force

Pantograph-catenary contact force provides the main basis for evaluation of current quality collection; however,the pantograph-catenary contact force is largely affected by the catenary *** analyze the correlated relationship between catenary irregularities and pantograph-catenary contact force,a method based on nonlinear auto-regressive with exogenous input(NARX) neural networks was ***,to collect the test data of catenary irregularities and contact force,the pantograph/catenary dynamics model was established and dynamic simulation was conducted using MATLAB/***,catenary irregularities were used as the input to NARX neural network and the contact force was determined as output of the NARX neural network,in which the neural network was trained by an improved training mechanism based on the regularization *** simulation results show that the testing error and correlation coefficient are 0.1100 and 0.8029,respectively,and the prediction accuracy is *** the comparisons with other algorithms indicate the validity and superiority of the proposed approach.

In this paper, we consider the two-way relay network (TWRN) in the presence of an eavesdropper, and construct a noisy amplify-and-forward (AF) algorithm to enhance the physical (PHY) layer security capacity. All the source nodes, the relay and the eavesdropper are equipped with multiple antennas. In the proposed noisy AF scheme, the relay first receives signals from both source nodes, adds weighted artificial noise (AN), and then amplifies and forwards the modified signal to both source nodes. In this scenario, we analyze the effects of AN and the number of relay antennas on the secrecy sum rate for different conditioning channel matrices. It is shown that AN will result in an increased secrecy sum rate, and the channel condition is a key parameter of the system in deciding the sum secrecy rate. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the validity of proposed studies.

Snow disasters cause immeasurable losses to human society each year, threatening people's lives and properties and therefore attaching much importance to the measurement of snow cover. Snowfall, however, is one of the most difficult to be measured among meteorological elements, especially on the railways. To solve this problem, the real-time monitoring of snow along the railway can be helpful. This can effectively avoid railway accidents caused by snowstorms, improving transport safety and efficiency as well as providing a quantitative reference for the safe operation of the railway. In this paper, a snow disaster prevention system is designed to measure the snow depth and issue the early warning. Also this paper achieves measurement by the integration of laser and video, where laser distance sensors detect snow depth and image sensors capture videos to find out whether the track is covered with snow and to obtain snow depth with the help of photographing rulers. © Qin et al.

In order to prevent urban rail transit accidents and improve the urban rail transit safety, the improved entropy method and analytic hierarchy process is applied to evaluate the security situation of urban rail transit station. Firstly, safety evaluation index system of station is established according to its factors. Secondly, the weights of evaluation index are obtained based on the results of improved entropy method and AHP. Finally, the security situation level of urban rail transit station is gained according to its value. Experimental results indicate that study on safety evaluation of urban rail transit station based on improved entropy method and AHP has a good practicability.

Satellite navigation is capable of enabling the different solutions for railway train control systems with low cost. The rapid development of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is promoting novel train control systems and wide implementations in China. In this paper, the status of BDS and its features for train control applications are analyzed. The architecture of a satellite-based train control system is designed, and static and field results of BDS positioning are presented. These results illustrate the capabilities of BDS for supporting the practical applications by using a concept of autonomous train state perception, which is an important direction for the next generation train control systems.

Frame is the main bearing component of bogie and the reliability of which directly affects the performance and safety of the locomotive. Survival analysis is used for reliability analysis of bogie frame to solve uncertain life time problem. It turns out that the best life distribution model is three-parameter Weibull distribution. A prediction model of failure rate composed of PSO-BP is came up with to predict the failure rate of bogie frame accurately. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Emergency evacuation has been receiving increasing attention due to the widely concern of public security in recent years. It is a critical task to analyze how to evacuate large crowd in an efficient way. Evacuation leaders, described by a modified leader-follower model based on social force, areinvestigated in this paper aiming to reduce evacuation time, casualties and loss. Artificial system of Beijing South Station is established based on actual data to verify the lead-follower evacuation method, where a large number of simulations have been conducted. The results show that evacuation with evacuation leaders can effectively reduce the evacuation time and casualties in an emergency situation in public place with a large number of pedestrians. © IFAC.

Reliability of the railway vehicle suspension system is of critical importance to the safety of the vehicle. It is very desirable to monitor the health condition and the performance degradation for rail vehicle suspension systems online, which offers the important information of the suspension system and it is critically important for the condition based maintenance rather than scheduled maintenance in the future. Advanced fault diagnosis method is one of the most effective means for the health monitoring of rail suspension systems. In this paper, taking the lateral suspension system as an example, the fault isolation issue for different component faults occurring in the suspension system is concerned. The sensor configuration for obtaining the state information for fault diagnosis and the mathematical model for the lateral suspension system are presented. Three different methods, Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidence theory, Fisher Discrimination Analysis (FDA) and Support Vector Machine (SVM techniques are applied to the fault isolation problem, respectively. Simulation study is carried out by means of the professional multi-body simulation tool, SIMPACK. The simulation results show that these methods can isolate the considered component faults effectively with a high accuracy. The proposed methods provide an effective alternative for the health monitoring of rail vehicle suspension systems. © IFAC.
