The covariance-driven stochastic subspace modal parameter identification method has been widely used in the field of engineering structures. Effective determination of the model order of the structural system is the key to applying this method to identify the modal parameters. It is particularly difficult to determine the model order for unstable systems affected by noise disturbances and computational errors. In order to effectively determine the model order, an exponential eigenvalue entropy incremental covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification (EE-COV-SSI) algorithm is proposed. The condition number of the state matrix is used to determine the degree of perturbation of the response signal to the system stability. Meanwhile, the identification accuracy of the modal parameters is reflected by calculating the modal frequency coefficient of variation. Finally, the method is applied to the modal analysis of a four-story frame structure. The results show that the method can accurately identify the model order and improve the identification accuracy of the modal parameters. © 2023 The authors and IOS Press.

Silicon Optical Filter With Widely Tunable Bandwidth Driving by intelligent Algorithms

Capitalizing two silicon rings assisted a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) structure, we propose and demonstrate picometer narrowband optical filters featuring widely tunable bandwidths, high extinction ratios and low in-band ripples. By tuning the bandwidth of any ring or the resonance offset between the two rings, the filter bandwidth could be flexibly manipulated. Notably, by controlling the phase of the two rings and the MZI structures, the extinction ratios and shape factors of the filter could be commendably improved. It is worth mentioning that a genetic algorithm is employed to efficiently manipulate the various heaters on the optical filter, enabling the attainment of desired target filtering waveforms. Experimental results demonstrate the filter capability to widely adjust its 3dB-bandwidth while maintaining high extinction ratios, low in-band ripples and favorable shape factors. To the best of our knowledge, it is a record bandwidth tuning range among the algorithm-driven pm-narrowband optical filters. With the dominant advantages and high performance, the proposed optical filters are competent to dynamically process the on-chip narrowband signals. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

This paper investigates the group formation control problem for cyber-physical systems (CPSs) with random communication constraints. The distributed cloud computing system is constructed to divide agents into groups and establish communication between agents. A data-driven predictive control strategy is proposed by combining networked predictive control and model-free adaptive control method. The desired group formation control performance can be achieved and the three-channel random communication constraints of CPSs are actively compensated. Thisstrategy does not require the system model and relies solely on the system's I/O data for adaptive learning. Further analyses concludes the conditions for simultaneous reach stability and group formation of the closed-loop CPSs using the data-driven predictive control strategy. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is validated by simulation results. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-robot system outperforms in efficiency for cooperative task, where the challenging burden of information exchange for surrounding environment is facilitated by collaborative simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). However, the utilization of environmental information, i.e., mapping, should be specifically put into efficient use and merged from the viewpoint of computation saving and localization accuracy improvement. Towards these issues, this paper proposes the Collaborative SLAM system based on shared priori maps which includes multi-agent initialization and a new map sharing and reuse mechanism among various active agents in an incremental way. Finally, based on the data set recorded in the actual laboratory environment, the proposed Collaborative SLAM system is evaluated from the perspectives of localization accuracy and computational power consumption. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Accidental falls are the major causes of injury among elderly people living alone. However, traditional fall detection algorithms usually have missed or false detections problems. In this paper, we design a fall detection system based on YOLO algorithm and MobileNetV2 model. First, detection frame coordinates and joint coordinates of the human body are fused as feature information, and background information is filtered out. A lightweight deep learning model, MobileNetV2, is then used for classification. Compared with commonly used lightweight classification models such as ShuffleNet and EfficientNet, the MobileNetV2 model performs better in recognizing fall behavior. Our system can effectively distinguish fall behavior from daily activities, meeting the requirements for fall detection. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to improve the efficiency of tea picking,a scheme combining ant colony algorithm and tea picking technology is proposed to plan the picking *** this scheme,k-means clustering algorithm is used to divide the tea picking regions with irregular *** ant colony algorithm is used to carry out path planning for tea in different picking areas,and the best picking effect is selected according to the simulation *** solve the problem of long searching time of ant colony algorithm,the condition of iteration termination is changed to adaptive value,and the optimal route after the last iteration is recorded as the initial value of the next *** simulation results show that the best effect is to divide two picking *** improved ant colony algorithm reduces the operation time and the planned picking path is shorter,which can enhance the real-time tea picking and improve the efficiency of tea picking.

This paper is concerned with the distributed resilient fusion filtering(DRFF)problem for a class of time-varying multi-sensor nonlinear stochastic systems(MNSSs)with random sensor delays(RSDs).The phenomenon of the RSDs is modeled by a set of random variables with certain statistical *** addition,the nonlinear function is handled via Taylor expansion in order to deal with the nonlinear fusion filtering *** aim of the addressed issue is to propose a DRFF scheme for MNSSs such that,for both RSDs and estimator gain perturbations,certain upper bounds of estimation error covariance(EEC)are given and locally minimized at every sample *** the light of the obtained local filters,a new DRFF algorithm is developed via the matrix-weighted fusion ***,a sufficient condition is presented,which can guarantee that the local upper bound of the EEC is ***,a numerical example is provided,which can show the usefulness of the developed DRFF approach.

In the field of radar data processing, track interruption seriously affects target tracking, track fusion, and other tasks. The existing track segment association algorithms have low correlation accuracy in dense distributed or long-time interruption situations. To this purpose, a dense multi-target track segment association (DMTTSA) algorithm is proposed. Firstly, two identical networks based on the multi-head probability sparse (ProbSparse) self-attention are used to capture the long-term dependencies of the tracks. Then, the bidirectional quadruplet hard sample loss (BiQuaHard loss) is constructed to make the tracks belonging to the same targets closer and the tracks belonging to the different targets farther. Finally, DMTTSA takes the closest track pairs in the feature space as the associated tracks and divides the unassociated tracks into the birth and dead tracks in chronological order. Some comparative experiments are carried out to show the anti-noise performance of the DMTTSA, as well as the effectiveness of solving the problem of dense multi-target track interruption. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

As population ageing increases, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology combined with humanoid robots has become an innovative solution to alleviate the stress of elderly care. To improve the reliability and stability of the BCI system in practical applications, this paper proposed a novel multimodal humanoid robot control system. There are two different control modalities in parallel: Steady State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP)-BCI control modality and Eye Tracking control modality. The system utilized blinks events enable the user to initiate the human-machine interface (HMI) autonomously, selected one of the control modes based on the user's attention state, and sent control commands to the robot for execution. This multimodal framework effectively solves the false triggering problem of the humanoid BCI system, and the humanoid robot can perform tasks more flexibly. © VDE VERLAG GMBH.

Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based seizure sub-type classification enhances clinical diagnosis efficiency. Source-free semi-supervised domain adaptation (SF-SSDA), which transfers a pre-trained model to a new dataset with no source data and limited labeled target data, can be used for privacy-preserving seizure subtype classification. This paper considers two challenges in SF-SSDA for EEG-based seizure subtype classification: 1) How to effectively fuse both raw EEG data and expert knowledge in classifier design? 2) How to align the source and target domain distributions for SF-SSDA? We propose a Knowledge-Data Fusion based SF-SSDA approach, KDF-MutuaISHOT, for EEG-based seizure subtype classification. In source model training, KDF uses Jensen-Shannon Diver-gence to facilitate mutual learning between a feature-driven Decision Tree-based model and a data-driven Transformer-based model. To adapt KDF to a new target dataset, an SF-SSDA algorithm, MutualSHOT, is developed, which features a consistency-based pseudo-label selection strategy. Experiments on the public TUSZ and CHSZ datasets demonstrated that KDF-MutualSHOT outperformed other supervised and source-free domain adaptation approaches in cross-subject seizure subtype classification. © 2024 IEEE.
