This paper is concerned with the dissipativity analysis of singular systems with time-varying delays. Firstly, an improved augmented Lyapunov-Krasovsii functional(ALKF) is constructed based on the state decomposition method. Then, the derivative of the ALKF is estimated by applying the auxiliary function integral inequality and the extended reciprocally convex inequality. As a result, an improved dissipativity criterion with less conservativeness is established. Finally, numerical examples are given to show the superiority of the proposed method.

One-bit consensus of controllable linear multi-agent systems with communication noises

This paper addresses the one-bit consensus of controllable linear multi-agent systems (MASs) with communication noises. A consensus algorithm consisting of a communication protocol and a consensus controller is designed. The communication protocol introduces a linear compression encoding function to achieve a one-bit data rate, thereby saving communication costs. The consensus controller with a stabilization term and a consensus term is proposed to ensure the consensus of a potentially unstable but controllable MAS. Specifically, in the consensus term, we adopt an estimation method to overcome the information loss caused by one-bit communications and a decay step to attenuate the effect of communication noise. Two combined Lyapunov functions are constructed to overcome the difficulty arising from the coupling of the control and estimation. By establishing similar iterative structures of these two functions, this paper shows that the MAS can achieve consensus in the mean square sense at the rate of the reciprocal of the iteration number under the case with a connected fixed topology. Moreover, the theoretical results are generalized to the case with jointly connected Markovian switching topologies by establishing a certain equivalence relationship between the Markovian switching topologies and a fixed topology. High temperature rise of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor can lead to irreversible demagnetization of the motor permanent magnet, which can negatively affect the motor performance. To address this problem, a thermal modeling analysis method based on Transfer learning-Deep neural network (TL-DNN) was proposed in this paper. Its specific implementation steps include (1) corresponding to different heat source inputs, the equivalent thermal circuit method and the finite element analysis was adopted based on the structure and main parameters of PMLSM including overall average temperature rise, coil temperature rise and permanent magnet temperature rise from the data sets of the motor; (2) TL-DNN was used to fit the functional relationship between the input source features and the output targets based on the characteristics of the sample data sets. In order to verify the accuracy of the prediction model with small sample data sets, this paper divided the proportion of the data set and compared the results with other classic nonparametric models (random forest, support vector machine, and deep neural network). The results show that the TL-DNN model outperforms other machine learning models and has better robustness and generalization ability when the training datasets are insufficient, and achieves an organic combination of physical field path model and data-driven model, which provides a feasible solution for PMLSM modeling in the case of small samples.

For on-policy reinforcement learning, discretizing action space for continuous control can easily express multiple modes and is straightforward to optimize. However, without considering the inherent ordering between the discrete atomic actions, the explosion in the number of discrete actions can possess undesired properties and induce a higher variance for the policy gradient estimator. In this paper, we introduce a straightforward architecture that addresses this issue by constraining the discrete policy to be unimodal using Poisson probability distributions. This unimodal architecture can better leverage the continuity in the underlying continuous action space using explicit unimodal probability distributions. We conduct extensive experiments to show that the discrete policy with the unimodal probability distribution provides significantly faster convergence and higher performance for on-policy reinforcement learning algorithms in challenging control tasks, especially in highly complex tasks such as Humanoid. We provide theoretical analysis on the variance of the policy gradient estimator, which suggests that our attentively designed unimodal discrete policy can retain a lower variance and yield a stable learning process. © 2024, CC BY.

With the wide application of automotive welding automation, the fusion of multimodal data has become an important research direction. In this paper, a multi-modal data fusion technology based on automotive spot welding process is proposed, including management configuration service, equipment data service, database data service, data fusion service, gateway service and public class module. Through the selection of microservice framework Spring Cloud, message queue, front-end framework, and other technologies, different types of data sources are accessed, managed, processed, and stored. Experimental results show that this technology can effectively improve the efficiency of data integration, sharing and application, and provides strong technical support for the intelligent construction of automotive welding automation. © 2023 IEEE.

It is necessary to regularly detect faults to maintain the safety and stability of power lines. Insulators are one of the important electrical components in high-voltage transmission lines. It is extremely necessary to check the working status of insulators regularly. Traditional manual inspection is inefficient because it requires a significant amount of labor costs. In this paper, a method for detecting insulators' missing defect based on aerial images is proposed to address the issue by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Firstly, the improved Faster R-CNN (region-based convolutional neural network) is used to identify and locate insulators in aerial images. Secondly, the U-Net image segmentation network segments insulators from the images. The adaptive threshold segmentation method completely separates the insulator from the background. Then the binary image of the insulator is obtained. Finally, the binary image is converted into a fault curve which is used for determining the missing insulators based on the distribution of the fault curve. By using collected insulator datasets on a 330kV overhead transmission line using a DJI M300 UAV platform and an onboard H20T camera/sensor, the detection accuracy of glass insulators is as high as 0.98 with the proposed algorithm. The positioning accuracy of the proposed algorithm is also higher than other algorithms. This method has high detection accuracy for missing defects in insulators. The experimental results show that compared with similar algorithms, this method has higher accuracy and efficiency.

Aiming at the potential safety hazards of silicon single crystal production enterprises in the process of multi-furnace silicon single crystal production, and considering the maximum power load requirements in actual enterprises, a silicon single crystal production process scheduling model with the goal of minimizing the maximum completion time was established. Based on this model, an adaptive improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (Adaptive GPSO) is proposed to solve it. The algorithm retains the individual optimal value and global optimal value of the particle swarm algorithm, and introduces the crossover operation and mutation operation in the genetic algorithm to improve the new individual generation mechanism. At the same time, it performs dynamic iterative calculations on the mutation probability and crossover probability to avoid the algorithm fall into the local optimum, and improve the diversity and convergence of the algorithm. By solving different scales scheduling problems of silicon single crystal production process, the experiments on real-world data shows that the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2021 IEEE

In human-robot systems, ensuring user safety amidst external disturbances remains paramount. An efficient variable impedance control (VIC) technique is designed to enhance human-robot interaction, particularly in scenarios with external force disturbances. By dynamically adapting impedance parameters in response to detected changes in contact force, VIC achieves heightened system flexibility. The robust stability of the VIC system is rigorously established using the Lyapunov approach, with a parameter update law tailored for a lower limb supernumerary robotic limb robot. Through simulations and experiments, the efficacy of the system in maintaining a specific safety margin is demonstrated. Moreover, the technique offers a pragmatic solution to accommodate individual variations in walking gait and cross-user disparities in interaction. The proposed method contributes to advancing the safety and adaptability of cross-user human-robot systems.

In STT-MRAM, data is stored in a magnetic tunnel structure (MTJ) containing multiple ferromagnetic layers. Each ferromagnetic layer generates a stray field, which affects the critical switching current, switching time, thermal stability, and the density of the MTJ array. These factors have a direct impact on the performance and storage capacity of STT-MRAM. Previously, we have studied that hexagonal MTJ arrays can improve storage density. However, this improvement also leads to increased intracellular and intercellular stray fields, which in turn affects the device's performance. This paper aims to reduce the intercellular stray field by covering each MTJ unit with a soft magnetic shielding layer and investigates the performance of the MTJ array with a shielding layer. Firstly, a simulation model of a single MTJ stack is built using the simulation software COMSOL. Then, based on modeling the MTJ stack, square and hexagonal MTJ arrays are established. The intercellular magnetic coupling coefficient (Ψ) is quoted, and Ψ=2% is defined as the threshold below which the intercellular magnetic coupling can be considered negligible. The results indicate that the soft magnetic shielding layer can effectively shield the stray field, reducing its impact on MTJ performance. Specifically, a thicker shielding layer with higher magnetic permeability provides better shielding efficacy. However, comparing square and hexagonal MTJ array after magnetic shielding reveals a larger stray field between the hexagonal array. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, the quantized control problem is discussed for a class of highly nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple delays under the DoS attacks. The coefficients are allowed to be highly nonlinear, and the control input is subject to the quantization effects and the DoS attacks. The aim is to deal with the stabilization problem for unstable highly nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple delays. The $p-\text{th}$ moment exponential stability and almost surely exponential stability are discussed in light of the Lyapunov theory. Finally, an illustrative example is given to verify the validity of the theoretical results.
