Data-driven predictive control for networked control systems

This paper is concerned with the problem of data-driven predictive control for networked control systems (NCSs), which is designed by applying the subspace matrices technique, obtained directly from the input/output data transferred from networks. The networked predictive control consists of the control prediction generator and network delay compensator. The control prediction generator provides a set of future control predictions to make the closed-loop system achieve the desired control performance and the network delay compensator eliminates the effects of the network transmission delay. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method is demonstrated in simulation as well as experiment study.

An adaptive sliding mode control scheme for electromechanical actuator has been presented. The adaptive control strategy can estimate the uncertain parameters and adaptively compensate the modeled dynamical uncertainties, while the sliding mode control method overcomes the unmodelled dynamics. In the adaptive law an equivalent output injection of the sliding mode observer which contains the parameter estimation error is used, and estimates of parameters can approximate the true values without prediction-error that is typically used in compositive adaptive law. Due to the improved estimation of uncertain parameters, the sliding mode law can robustifies the design against model uncertainties with a small swithcing gain. Stability of the system with the proposed approach has been proved and it has also been shown that the system states can reach the sliding mode in finite time. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme has been exhibited via simulation examples. © 2011 Asian control Association.

In recent years, micromanipulator with dual end-effectors called microhand has been widely used in industrial and biological fields. Whether the tip positions of the two end-effectors of the microhand can be accurately aligned seriously affects the precise grasping of the microhand. However, few researchers have presented practical ways for precisely aligning the tip positions of a 6-DOF microhand's two end- effectors. This paper proposes a novel, inexpensive, lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use microhand dual end-effectors clamping device that can precisely and quickly align the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. First, we describe the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device's lightweight structural design. After that, we simplify the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device model and create a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the end-effectors' tip position and the rotation angles of screw No.1, screw No.2, screw No.3 of the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device. Through experimentation, we are able to attain precise alignment of the two end-effectors tip positions of the 6-DOF microhand, so we confirm that our mathematical model is true. Finally, we use the impulse response of PZT in the microhand's lower module to confirm the stability of the microhand dual end- effectors clamping device. We believe that the proposed the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device has great potential in industrial and biological applications as a universal tool for precise alignment of the tip positions of the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. © 2024 IEEE.

The agent routing problem in multi-point dynamic task (ARP-MPDT) proposed recently is a novel permutation optimisation problem. In ARP-MPDT, a number of task points are located at different places and their states change over time. The agent must go to the task points in turn to execute the tasks, and the execution time of each task depends on the task state. The optimisation objective is to minimise the time for the agent to complete all the tasks. In this paper, five evolutionary algorithms are redesigned and tried to solve this problem, including a permutation genetic algorithm (GA), a variant of the particle swarm optimisation (PSO) and three variants of the estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA). In particular, a dual-model EDA (DM-EDA) employing two probability models was proposed. Finally, comparative tests confirm that the DM-EDA has a stronger adaptability than the other algorithms though GA performs better for the large-scale instances. Multisensor fusion estimation of nonlinear systems with intermittent observations and heavy-tailed noises

Inspired by the robust student t-distribution based nonlinear filter(RSTNF), a student tdistribution and unscented transform(UT) based filter for state estimation of heavy-tailed nonlinear dynamic systems, a modified RSTNF for intermittent observations is derived. The fusion estimation for nonlinear multisensor systems with intermittent observations and heavy-tailed measurement and process noises is *** this work, the centralized fusion, the sequential fusion, and the na¨?ve distributed fusion algorithms are presented, respectively. Theoretical analysis shows that the presented algorithms are effective, which are the efficient extension of the classical unscented Kalman filter(UKF) or the cubature Kalman filter(CKF) based algorithms with Gaussian noises. Simulation results show that the presented algorithms are effective and feasible.

Abstract Common surveillance system is usually limited by the scope of observation, which may increase the probability of missing or misjudging suspicious targets. A wide-field monitoring system based on efficient image mosaicing algorithm is proposed in this paper. It can monitor a wide field for both short and long distance in real time and highlight the detected moving objects simultaneously. The image mosaicing is not only aimed at obtaining the wide field of view, but also utilized in motion detection for forming a wide-field motion mask. A simulation platform is developed to verify the performance of the system. The experiment results show that it satisfies the demands of high resolution and real-time implementation. The system is of high practical value to transportation surveillance or other applications.

DR-WLC: Dimensionality Reduction cognition for object detection and pose estimation by Watching, Learning and Checking

Object detection and pose estimation are difficult tasks in robotics and autonomous driving. Existing object detection and pose estimation methods mostly adopt the same-dimensional data for training. For example, 2D object detection usually requires a large amount of 2D annotation data with high cost. Using high-dimensional information to supervise lower-dimensional tasks is a feasible way to reduce datasets size. In this work, the DR-WLC, a dimensionality reduction cognitive model, which can perform both object detection and pose estimation tasks at the same time is proposed. The model only requires 3D model of objects and unlabeled environment images (with or without objects) to finish the training. In addition, a bounding boxes generation strategy is also proposed to build the relationship between 3D model and 2D object detection task. Experiments show that our method can qualify the work without any manual annotations and it is easy to deploy for practical applications. Source code is at https: //***/IN2-ViAUn/DR-WLC. MC-NeRF: Multi-Camera Neural Radiance Fields for Multi-Camera Image Acquisition systems

Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) use multi-view images for 3D scene representation, demonstrating remarkable performance. As one of the primary sources of multi-view images, multi-camera systems encounter challenges such as varying intrinsic parameters and frequent pose changes. Most previous NeRF-based methods assume a unique camera and rarely consider multi-camera scenarios. Besides, some NeRF methods that can optimize intrinsic and extrinsic parameters still remain susceptible to suboptimal solutions when these parameters are poor initialized. In this paper, we propose MC-NeRF, a method that enables joint optimization of both intrinsic and extrinsic parameters alongside NeRF. The method also supports each image corresponding to independent camera parameters. First, we tackle coupling issue and the degenerate case that arise from the joint optimization between intrinsic and extrinsic parameters. Second, based on the proposed solutions, we introduce an efficient calibration image acquisition scheme for multi-camera systems, including the design of calibration object. Finally, we present an end-to-end network with training sequence that enables the estimation of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, along with the rendering network. Furthermore, recognizing that most existing datasets are designed for a unique camera, we construct a real multi-camera image acquisition system and create a corresponding new dataset, which includes both simulated data and real-world captured images. Experiments confirm the effectiveness of our method when each image corresponds to different camera parameters. Specifically, we use multi-cameras, each with different intrinsic and extrinsic parameters in real-world system, to achieve 3D scene representation without providing initial poses.
