The majority of the energy consumption by the sensors is the energy requirement for data transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Therefore, introducing mobile collectors to collect data instead of nmlti-hop data relay is essential. However, for rmny proposed data gathering ap-proaches, long data deNNy is the train problenm. Hence, the problem of how to decrease the energy consumption and the data deNNy needs to be solved. In this paper, a low deNNy data collection mechanism using multiple mobile collectors is pro- posed. First, a self-organization clustering algorithm is designed. Second, sensor nodes are organized into three-level clusters. Then a collection strategy based on the hierarchical structure is proposed, which includes two rules to dispatch mobile collec- tors rationally. Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism is superior to other existing approaches in terms of the reduction in energy ex-penditure and the decrease in data deNNy.

This paper considers the distributed quadratic stabilization problems of uncertain continuous-time linear multiagent systems with undirected communication topologies. It is assumed that the agents have identical nominal dynamics while subject to different norm-bounded parameter uncertainties, leading to weakly heterogeneous multi-agent systems. A distributed controller is proposed, based on the relative states of neighboring agents and a subset of absolute states of the agents. It is shown that the distributed quadratic stabilization problem under such a controller is equivalent to the H∞ control problems of a set of decoupled linear systems having the same dimensions as a single agent. A two-step algorithm is presented to construct the distributed robust controller, which does not involve any conservatism and meanwhile decouples the feedback gain design from the communication topology. Furthermore, the distributed quadratic H∞ control problem of uncertain linear multi-agent systems with external disturbances is discussed, which can be reduced to the scaled H∞ control problems of a set of independent systems whose dimensions are equal to that of a single agent.

One of challenges in GIS Web service is mass GIS data storage and processing. There are at least three obstacles that oppose dealing with this challenge: the mismatch between the frequent requirement of concurrent tasks for accessing data in GIS Web service and the poor performance of conventional storage mechanism such as relational databases;the insufficiency of relational databases to manage complex data types in GIS Web service;the horizontal scalability of storage for non-stop GIS Web service evolution. This paper proposes a distributed cached storage solution, as the mixture of MongoDB storage and Memcached cache, for GIS Web service. Both techniques are closely related to NoSQL that is a class of database management system identified by its non-adherence to the widely used relational database management system (RDBMS) model. A concise case that facilitates a better understanding of this work indicates its feasibility.

From the view of combination of stereo vision and robot control, an active stereo vision for object tracking and location system is built to work on flexible manufacturing system. A method based on local HSV image and shape of object to recognize object is used for robot tracking. After the color segment, use the knowledge of shape of objects to recognize objects. And a technique for camera calibration based on plane square is proposed. It only requires the camera to observe a square at two (or more) different unknown orientations. Use the result of object recognize and camera calibration the robot can position and track the object. At the last of the paper, the results of object tracking experiments prove that the method is correct.

To better handle the problem on robust stability for neutral controlsystems, in which time-varying delay was involved, a stability criterion with less conservatism was put forward. Firstly, a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional was constructed based on the uncertain neutral control system model. The generalized convex combination and integral inequality techniques were altogether employed, which can help to estimate the derivative of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and effectively extend the application area of the results. Secondly, by taking the lower and upper bounds of time-delays and their derivatives, a criterion on asymptotical and robust stability were presented in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI), which can be easily checked by resorting to LMI in Matlab Toolbox. Finally, through one numerical example the criterion was compared with relative ones. The smaller delay upper bound was obtained by the criteria, which demonstrates that our stability criterion can reduce the conservatism more efficiently than those earlier ones.
