In order to address the problem of current object detection models being too large to be deployed on robot controllers, this paper proposes improvements to YOLOv5 for real-time detection. The YOLOv5s model is pruned at the Batch Normalization (BN) layer, and further optimized using the OpenVINO tool for quantization. The results demonstrate that our improvements effectively improve the model's inference speed while maintaining its accuracy. Compared to the original YOLOv5 model, the pruned model achieves the same accuracy without degradation, with a 36.6% reduction in parameter count and a 35% reduction in weight storage file size. Furthermore, after optimization with OpenVINO, the final model achieves a FPS of 56.

With the rapid development and widespread application of Inertial measurement Units (IMUs), IMU-based human localization has become critically important in environments lacking Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) signals. Methods such as UWB/WIFI and other anchor-based localization have been employed to enhance the positioning accuracy. However, these methods are susceptible to the environmental interference and increased costs. In contrast, SINS-based localization methods eliminate reliance on the external data. However, this method can suffer from drift errors due to cumulative integration errors. Inertial navigation error correction techniques like Zero Detection Update Technology (ZUPT) provide potential solutions to address drift errors. This paper proposes an error correction method based on the multithreshold zero-velocity detection and Square Root Cubature Kalman Filter (SRCKF) updates. Compared to the single fixed threshold detection, the multi-threshold zero-velocity detection reduces the likelihood of missed zero velocity detection and false alarms, providing accurate time intervals for error correction. Experimental results demonstrate that the SRCKF-based algorithm reduces position deviation to approximately 0.3146 meters, corresponding to an error ratio of1.14%. The proposed method enables cost-effective and accurate pedestrian localization, driving advancements in the field.

This paper investigates the problem of outlier-resistant distributed fusion filtering(DFF)for a class of multi-sensor nonlinear singular systems(MSNSSs)under a dynamic event-triggered scheme(DETS).To relieve the effect of measurement outliers in data transmission,a self-adaptive saturation function is ***,to further reduce the energy consumption of each sensor node and improve the efficiency of resource utilization,a DETS is adopted to regulate the frequency of data *** the addressed MSNSSs,our purpose is to construct the local outlier-resistant filter under the effects of the measurement outliers and the DETS;the local upper bound(UB)on the filtering error covariance(FEC)is derived by solving the difference equations and minimized by designing proper filter ***,according to the local filters and their UBs,a DFF algorithm is presented in terms of the inverse covariance intersection fusion *** such,the proposed DFF algorithm has the advantages of reducing the frequency of data transmission and the impact of measurement outliers,thereby improving the estimation ***,the uniform boundedness of the filtering error is discussed and a corresponding sufficient condition is ***,the validity of the developed algorithm is checked using a simulation example.

The prediction and forecasting of faults occurring in photovoltaic (PV) system is one of the important aspect to escalate the reliability, output power generation, proficiency, lifetime and effectiveness of overall system. In this article, the behavior of PV array is studied under various faulty circumstances and new approach has offered for the better performance assessment of PV array. This approach is established on the analysis of peculiarities displayed by voltage power (V-P) and voltage-current (V-I) characteristics curves of PV array under different faulty conditions. The proposed technique can be used to identify and classify the five common faults in PV system. These progressive faults (includes open circuit, line-to-line, partial shading, degradation and bridging faults) have been occurred at the basic components of PV cell and at the connection point between PV modules. The characteristic curves under normal and faulty conditions have been compared by utilizing Matlab/Simulink environment. Hence, the suggested method can be utilized to determine the important fact about the health PV array.

In many-objective optimization problems (MaOPs), it is a difficult task for evolutionary algorithms to balance convergence and diversity while rapidly converging to the Pareto front. As the number of objectives increases, the difficulty of evolutionary algorithms increases with individual selection pressure. To address above problems, we propose a many-objective evolution algorithm assisted by an ideal hyperplane (MaOEA-IH). Firstly, the ideal hyperplane as a reference surface to guide the individual to search the Pareto front, which is established from the extremum of each dimension of the objective space. Secondly, a parallel p -norm mating selection strategy is proposed to improve convergence. In addition, two factors are considered in this strategy: 1) different p -norm are used to measure different spatial scales;2) individual selection uncertainty is defined by incorporating a probabilistic perturbation mechanism. Thirdly, the improved shift-based density estimation strategy is used as the evaluation criterion for environmental selection to improve the convergence and diversity of solution sets and enhance selection pressure. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, MAOEA-IH is compared with seven excellent algorithms in three benchmark sets (DTLZ, WFG and MaF). The parameters in a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) free induction decay (FID) signal contain information that is useful in magnetic field measurement, magnetic resonance sounding (MRS) and other related applications. A real time sampled FID signal is well modeled as a finite mixture of exponential sequences plus noise. We propose to use the Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) for noise reduction and characterization, where the generalized Hilbert-Huang represents a way to decompose a signal into so-called intrinsic mode function (IMF) along with a trend, and obtain instantaneous frequency data. Moreover, the HHT for an FID signal's feature analysis is applied for the first time. First, acquiring the actual untuned FID signal by a developed prototype of proton magnetometer, and then the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is performed to decompose the noise and original FID. Finally, the HHT is applied to the obtained IMFs to extract the Hilbert energy spectrum, to indicate the energy distribution of the signal on the frequency axis. By theory analysis and the testing of an actual FID signal, the results show that, compared with general noise reduction methods such as auto correlation and singular value decomposition (SVD), combined with the proposed method can further suppress the interfered signals effectively, and can obtain different components of FID signal, which can use to identify the magnetic anomaly, the existence of groundwater etc. This is a very important property since it can be exploited to separate the FID signal from noise and to estimate exponential sequence parameters of FID signal. The low magnetic field measurement has been utilized since ancient times in order to find economic resources, to detect magnetic anomalies, etc. In this case, the vector magnetic survey can simultaneously obtain the modulus and direction information of the magnetic field, which can contribute to obtaining more precise information and characteristics of magnetic field resources. This paper is concerned with the potential to exploit the signals of vector magnetic field measurement with a magneto-inductive (MI) sensor. To evaluate the capability of the MI sensor, a test platform is set up and its performance including the noise floor, the resolution, the sensitivity, etc., are comprehensively characterized. Further, a comparative geomagnetic observation and magnetic anomaly detection among the proposed MI sensor, a high-precision Overhauser sensor, and a commonly used and accepted commercial MI sensor are conducted. This paper addresses the joint state estimation and control problems for unknown linear time-invariant systems subject to both process and measurement noise. The aim is to redesign the linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) controller based solely on data. The LQG controller comprises a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and a steady-state Kalman observer;while the data-based LQR design problem has been previously studied, constructing the Kalman gain and the LQG controller from noisy data presents a novel challenge. In this work, a data-based formulation for computing the steady-state Kalman gain is proposed based on semi-definite programming (SDP) using some noise-free input-state-output data. Additionally, a data-based LQG controller is developed, which is shown to be equivalent to the model-based LQG controller. For cases where offline data are corrupted by noise, a robust data-based observer gain is constructed by tackling a relaxed SDP. The proposed controllers are proven to achieve robust global exponential stability (RGES) for state estimation and input-to-state practical stability (ISpS) under standard conditions. This paper aims to provide a systemic analysis to social opinion dynamics subject to individual biases. As a generalization of the classical DeGroot social interactions, defined by linearly coupled dynamics of peer opinions that evolve over time, biases add to state-dependent edge weights and therefore lead to highly nonlinear network dynamics. Previous studies have dealt with convergence and stability analysis of such systems for a few specific initial node opinions and network structures, and here we focus on how individual biases affect social equilibria and their stabilities. First of all, we prove that when the initial network opinions are polarized towards one side of the state space, node biases will drive the opinion evolution to the corresponding interval boundaries. Such polarization attraction effect continues to hold under even directed and switching network structures. Next, for a few fundamental network structures, some important interior network equilibria are presented explicitly for a wide range of system parameters, which are shown to be locally unstable in general. Particularly, the interval centroid is proven to be unstable regardless of the bias level and the network topologies. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.
