In this paper, a concept of Zhang equivalency (ZE) is presented, and its type of inequality to inequality (simply termed, inequality type) is further discussed. By applying Zhang neural dynamics method, we thus propose the order-1, order2, and order-3 ZE general formulas of such an inequality type, respectively. Then, the inequalities in four different situations are investigated, i.e., the robot situation, matrix situation (including matrix-vector situation), state-control situation, and state situation. We propose the corresponding order-1, order-2, and order-3 ZE formulas to prepare for solving corresponding time-varying inequality-related problems.

Receiver detection algorithm has always been a research hotspot in communication system and the key point to determine the performance of 5G system. Both industry and academia have been committed to finding detection algorithms with lower complexity and higher detection performance. This paper will study how to solve the problems of low detection performance and high complexity of classical algorithms. Taking Pattern Division Multiple Access (PDMA) as an example, this paper improves the existing receiver detection algorithms such as Minimum Mean Square Error-Serial Interference Cancellation(MMSE-SIC), Message Passing Algorithm (MPA) and Expectation Propagation Algorithm (EPA), and puts forward corresponding improved algorithms with specific formulas, i.e. Enhanced-MMSE-SIC, Turbo-like MPA (MPA-Turbo) and Turbo-like EPA with hybrid parallel interference cancellation (EPA-Turbo-PIC). Link-level simulation results and analysis show that the proposed improved algorithms have performance advantages over the corresponding traditional algorithms. © 2022, The Authors. Image classification presents a formidable challenge due to its high dimensionality and extensive variations. Feature learning is a powerful method in addressing this challenge, constituting a multi-objective problem aimed at maximizing classification accuracy and minimizing the number of learned features. A few multi-objective genetic programming (MOGP) methods have been proposed to optimize these two objectives, simultaneously. However, existing MOGP methods ignore the characteristics of feature learning tasks. Therefore, this work proposes a decomposition-based MOGP approach with a global replacement strategy for feature learning in data-efficient image classification. To handle the different value ranges of the two objectives, a transformation function is designed to uniform the range of the number of learned features. In addition, a preference-based decomposition strategy is proposed to address the preference for the objective of classification accuracy. The proposed approach is compared with existing MOGP methods for feature learning on five different image classification datasets with different numbers of training images. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach by achieving a performance better than or comparable to the compared methods. © 2024, The Authors. To improve the information exchange rate between Alice and Bob in traditional two-way directional modulation (TWDM) network, a new double-reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided TWDM network is proposed. To achieve the low-complexity transmitter design, two analytical precoders, one closed-form method of adjusting the RIS phase-shifting matrices, and semi-iterative power allocation (PA) strategy of maximizing secrecy sum rate (SSR) are proposed. First, the geometric parallelogram (GPG) criterion is employed to give the phase-shifting matrices of RISs. Then, two precoders, called maximizing singular value (Max-SV) and maximizing signal-to-leakage-noise ratio (Max-SLNR), are proposed to enhance the SSR. Evenly, the maximizing SSR PA with hybrid iterative closed-form (HICF) is further proposed to improve the SSR and derived to be one root of a sixth-order polynomial computed by: (1) the Newton-Raphson algorithm is repeated twice to reduce the order of the polynomial from six to four;(2) the remaining four feasible solutions can be directly obtained by the Ferrari's method. Simulation results show that using the proposed Max-SV and Max-SLNR, the proposed GPG makes a significant SSR improvement over random phase and no RIS. Given GPG, the proposed Max-SV outperforms the proposed leakage for small-scale or medium-scale RIS. Particularly, the proposed HICF PA stragey shows about ten percent performance gain over equal PA. In order to provide guidance for the development of high performance millimeter-wave complementary metal oxide semiconductor (MMW-CMOS) integrated circuits (IC), this paper provides a survey of key technologies on MMW-CMOS IC. Technical background of MMW wireless communications is described. Then the recent development of the critical technologies of the MMW-CMOS IC are introduced in detail and compared. A summarization is given, and the development prospects on MMW-CMOS IC are also discussed.

Pattern Synthesis of MIMO Radar Based on Immune Differential Evolution Algorithm

In order to optimize the pattern synthesis of multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) radar, immune mechanism is adopted to overcome the premature risk of differential evolution (DE) algorithm, namely immune differential evolution (IDE). Firstly, the modeling of MIMO radar is introduced by encoding the position of array in the binary. Secondly, the immune mechanism is employed to improve the DE. In IDE, two parameters are self-adapted for the mutation operator by immune mechanism to enhance the convergence ability of DE, including scaling factor and crossover rate. Several experiments are conducted to analysis the performance of IDE. The simulation results show that the IDE with variable parameters can get optimal results in MIMO radar with lower the peak side-lobe level (PSLL) and maintain the diversity with stronger convergence ability and shorter calculation speed.

Influence of wavelet characteristics on single-phase grounding fault line selection

It is difficult to select the fault line in distribution network because of the small single-phase grounding fault current. Wavelet transform is especially suitable for fault transient analysis because of its unique time-frequency localization performance. However, the characteristics of different wavelets have a direct impact on the line selection results. Improper selection of wavelets will directly lead to misjudgment. Firstly, the transient characteristics of single-phase grounding fault and the relationship between wavelet transform modulus maxima and singularity are analysed, and the line selection criterion of wavelet modulus maxima is given. Then, the influence of wavelet vanishing moment order, support length, symmetry, and orthogonality on the detection effect of signal singularity is analysed, and four principles for selecting wavelet in fault line selection are proposed. The larger the order of vanishing moment and support length, the more conducive to detection. The influence of vanishing moment order is much greater than that of support length. The 10kV system simulation model is built, five representative wavelets are selected to decompose the zero- sequence current of the fault line in four scales respectively, and the different modulus maxima corresponding to the sudden change point are compared. The experimental results prove the reliability of the wavelet selection principles proposed in this paper.

According to fractional order model, the governing equation of viscoelastic plate is established. Using the properties of the shifted Bernstein polynomials, the fractional order equation of viscoelastic plate is resolved, the conversion of fractional differential equations to algebraic equations, and operator matrices represented by Kronecker products are solved in the domain. The convergence study validates the algorithm's efficacy and precision in solving differential equations. The displacement of viscoelastic metal thin plate under different external loads (uniform distribution and linear distribution), the effect of white Gaussian noise on the thin metal plate displacement, the effect of different boundary conditions on thin metal plate displacement under harmonic load are studied, the displacements of metal and polymer plates under different loads are contrasted and stress and strain relationship of two kinds of plates are discussed. Based on the outcomes, it can be concluded that the shift Bernstein polynomial approach is useful for numerically simulating viscoelastic plates. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Wavelet packet coefficient of transient first half wave line selection method for single-phase grounding fault

Overvoltage will occur after single-phase grounding fault in distribution network, endangering system insulation. It is of great significance to find out the fault line as soon as possible to ensure the safe operation of the system. Wavelet modulus maxima can be used to detect the sudden change singularity of transient current. However, the judgement of single mode maximum value is easily influenced by the form of fault and interference, leading to misjudgement. In this paper, the transient characteristics of single-phase grounding fault are analyzed, and the magnitude and phase characteristics of the first half wave are given; Based on wavelet packet algorithm, several key problems such as boundary effect, wavelet selection and decomposition scale are explored; Taking the zero sequence voltage as the reference to determine the fault interval, the zero sequence current of each line is decomposed by three-scale wavelet packet using db6 wavelet, and the wavelet coefficients of the characteristic frequency band are extracted for comparison. The fault line is the one with the largest amplitude and different phase from others. The distribution system model of neutral grounding through arc suppression coil is built. Simulation is carried out for several cases with great difficulty in line selection, such as short circuit when phase voltage crosses zero, high resistance grounding and long line fault. The experimental results prove the reliability of this method.

Recently published graph neural networks (GNNs) show promising performance at social event detection tasks. However, most studies are oriented toward monolingual data in languages with abundant training samples. This has left the more common multilingual settings and lesser-spoken languages relatively unexplored. Thus, we present a GNN that incorporates cross-lingual word embeddings for detecting events in multilingual data streams. The first exploit is to make the GNN work with multilingual data. For this, we outline a construction strategy that aligns messages in different languages at both the node and semantic levels. Relationships between messages are established by merging entities that are the same but are referred to in different languages. Non-English message representations are converted into English semantic space via the cross-lingual word embeddings. The resulting message graph is then uniformly encoded by a GNN model. In special cases where a lesser-spoken language needs to be detected, a novel cross-lingual knowledge distillation framework, called CLKD, exploits prior knowledge learned from similar threads in English to make up for the paucity of annotated data. Experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets show the framework to be highly effective at detection in both multilingual data and in languages where training samples are scarce. © 2021, CC BY.
