At present, the error rate of color detecting device is generally between 1%-5%, and mainly for the solids. To improve the detection accuracy further, and adapt liquid color detection, this research uses a new method to build light paths, and combines the United States TAOS's TCS3200 color sensor and STM32 microcontroller. A new type of liquid color detecting device is designed, system structure and testing process of the device are also given. This device has more than 10-bit A/D conversion accuracy, 0.5% or less error rate, and less than 30% of the price of similar products. It has broad promotion and application prospects, and can be widely used in chemistry, biology, grain and other fields. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

There are some defects when dealing some types of complex accident scenes which using LOPA as the strict definition of independent protection layer limits its application scope. The purpose of this paper is aimed at the accident scenarios where multi-initiating event trigger a single accident consequence, putting forward strategy of selecting the aggregation method and the maximum screening method, so that the effectiveness of LOPA applying in such accident scenarios can be expanded. Meanwhile, for the condition that the passive protective layer is not completely effective in the accident scenarios, consequence reduction coefficient is introduced in and correctional program based on accident consequence is presented. All these work is to make the accident frequency calculation results closer to its actual value and finally enhance the accuracy of LOPA analysis.

When the northeast of China steps into winter, the existence of the permafrost makes the traditional ground detection impossible to be accomplished and the soil resistivity jump which lead to the result that the detection cannot be conducted in time or the data of ground resistance test deviates excessively from its actual value in thunderstorm season. As a result, accidents occur frequently. In this paper, through the analysis of the factors which influence the soil resistivity, experimental model of testing resistivity is set, estimate formula of permafrost is given so that the permafrost resistivity can be calculated accurately and thus provide a basis for the design of grounding device in lightning protection project, all these works having positive impact on lightning safety protection and detection.

The model for the leakage and diffusion of liquid ammonia tank established using the species transport and reaction module of Fluent in order to investigate the leakage of liquid ammonia due to storage tank failure. The corresponding influencing laws were obtained by changing the height of leakage source and the size of leakage aperture in the simulation. The potential hazard of liquid ammonia reserved at temperature and high pressure or low temperature and low pressure condition was obtained by comparison of simulation results. The results show that the high concentration of gas diffusion on the leeward side will increase with decreasing height of leakage source, the leakage rate of Ammonia tank and the concentration of gas diffusion on the same location increase as the size of leakage aperture increase, the distance and hazards of gas diffusion during the same time will increase with increasing when using storage mode of normal temperature and high pressure under the same leakage condition.

An on-demand weighed clustering algorithm is proposed against the limitation of wireless sensor network nodes with limited energy. This algorithm obtains more local network information by means of information interaction between nodes, and by comprehensively considering such factors as the current energy value, degree and transmission power, etc. of nodes, it makes different clustering decisions as per different application backgrounds of networks. Simulation results show that this algorithm has a more rational clustering by reducing energy consumption and lengthening network lifetime, compared to Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy, a representative clustering algorithm. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Recently, Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensor chips are widely used for human motion analysis because of their high-precision measurement, compact structures and the lower cost. In our research, a group of new multi-axis MEMS sensors including a six-axial motion module (MPU6050, including a triaxial gyroscope and triaxial accelerometer), and triaxial magnetometer (HMC5883L) were incorporated to construct a nine degrees of freedom MEMS-sensor module, which can communicate with a personal computer through a WIFI module. The sensor module can implement the ambulatory orientation measurements, the wireless data sampling, and the synchronization function with other sensing and motion capturing devices. To test the accuracy of the nine degrees of freedom motion MEMS-sensor module, validation experiments were performed in a work bench. Experimental results supported the fact that the wireless MEMS-sensor module can be used to measure three-dimensional (3D) orientations with an acceptable precision. © 2014 ISSN 1881-803X.

Recommendation systems have been widely used in social media. One of recommendation tasks in social media is to provide relevant messages for users. Although many models have been proposed, how to make accurate recommendation for new users with little historical information still remains a big challenge, which is called the cold start problem. In order to address this problem, many models have been proposed, which use information of social media to improve the recommendation performance. However, lack of such versatility limits the successful application of these models. In this study, we propose an effective facet-based trend model to describe the trend interests of the entire user community in social media. Trend facet is the probability distribution of all users' preference to an attribute. In contrast to the general feature, the facet stems from the users' history and captures the interests to the attribute in social media. We evaluate our models in the context of personalized ranking of microblogs. Experiments on real-world data show that trend modeling can alleviate the cold start problem significantly. In addition, we compare the performance of user modeling and trend modeling, and find that user modeling outperforms trending model and the impact is slightly negative when combining trend modeling with user modeling.

A dual-band low noise amplifier(DBLNA), which can operate at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, is designed and realized. Infineon BFP740 Si Ge HBTs are chose as active device, the cascode structure with high isolation and wider bandwidth is selected as gain circuit stage, whose bias current is selected to obtain minimum noise figure. In order to cope with the error of board technology and the PCB transmission loss, an additional stage is added into the cascode amplifier stage, both the peaking inductor and the RC circuit are utilized to compensate the decrease of high-frequency gain. A voltage divider circuit by resistor is employed to provide bias current, and the bias point is determined by scanning I B-NF. For the sake of miniaturization and adjustability, the π-type micro-strip line is used to achieve input/output matching. The combination of the electromagnetic simulation and the schematic diagram simulation, so-called co-simulation, is used to guarantee the simulation results are close to actual case. Finally the board-level layout is designed and the DBLNA PCB is fabricated and measured.

Spread spectrum communication technology, compared with the conventional communication technology, has many characteristics, such as a low interception rate, strong anti-noise performance, noise immunity, information hiding and multiple access communication. Widely used in military communication and civil communication at present, it is the core technology in the third generation mobile communication standards and has become one of the three high-tech communication transmission modes to enter the information age. The communication system of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) is most common in the spread spectrum communication technology, and this type of system was studied in this research. FPGA is one of hot research topics on hardware design. It has been widely used in the algorithm implementation and product prototype verification due to its rich logical unit, high integration, flexible configuration and many other advantages. Design and implementation on digital communication system with a more complex function have become reality on the hardware platform of FPGA with the considerable development of modern microelectronics especially in recent years. The research studied the various parts of key technologies, introduced the various algorithms of the most critical synchronization technologies (including pseudo-code acquisition, pseudo-code tracking, and carrier synchronization) in system in detail and gave their simulation results by establishing a complete simulation system for Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum. © 2013 IFSA Publishing.
