Hyperledger Fabric stands as a leading framework for permissioned block-chain systems, ensuring data security and audit-ability for enterprise applications. As applications on this platform grow, understanding its complex configuration concerning various block-chain parameters becomes vital. These configurations significantly affect the system’s performance and cost. In this research, we introduce a Stochastic Petri Net (SPN) model to analyze Hyper-ledger Fabric’s performance, considering variations in block-chain parameters, computational resources, and transaction rates. We provide case studies to validate the utility of our model, aiding block-chain administrators in determining optimal configurations for their applications. A key observation from our model highlights the block size’s role in system response time. We noted an increased mean response time, between 1 to 25 seconds, due to variations in transaction arrival rates.

Radiologists must utilize medical images of multiple modalities for tumor segmentation and diagnosis due to the limitations of medical imaging technology and the diversity of tumor signals. This has led to the development of multimodal learning in medical image segmentation. However, the redundancy among modalities creates challenges for existing subtraction-based joint learning methods, such as misjudging the importance of modalities, ignoring specific modal information, and increasing cognitive load. These thorny issues ultimately decrease segmentation accuracy and increase the risk of overfitting. This paper presents the complementary information mutual learning (CIML) framework, which can mathematically model and address the negative impact of inter-modal redundant information. CIML adopts the idea of addition and removes inter-modal redundant information through inductive bias-driven task decomposition and message passing-based redundancy filtering. CIML first decomposes the multimodal segmentation task into multiple subtasks based on expert prior knowledge, minimizing the information dependence between modalities. Furthermore, CIML introduces a scheme in which each modality can extract information from other modalities additively through message passing. To achieve non-redundancy of extracted information, the redundant filtering is transformed into complementary information learning inspired by the variational information bottleneck. The complementary information learning procedure can be efficiently solved by variational inference and cross-modal spatial attention. Numerical results from the verification task and standard benchmarks indicate that CIML efficiently removes redundant information between modalities, outperforming SOTA methods regarding validation accuracy and segmentation effect. COVID-19 affected our lives intensly. That state of affairs made humans helpless. They had been depressed and experienced loneliness. At that time many human beings were determined to play video games just to loosen up their minds. Many games changed into an additional source of revenue wherein during COVID-19 they were playing while earning money. With these advantages, there were also some poor effects was accrued. A number of players remained playing video games post COVID-19. The carried out survey is based on the social video games results on players’ well-being and additionally on the effects of gamers’ health and their sensible lifestyles. We are going to investigate the behavior of gamers engaged with video games during the COVID-19 lockdown and the video games affects on their well-being, the time they served in playing video games, and the consequential effect on their behavior and social and mental well-being. The results provide a start line for empirically grounded discussions on video games at some stage in the pandemic, their use, and potential outcomes. Different agegroups of players have been investigated. Most players are between 18 and 30 years. A number of the gamers during lock down played a few hours but most of players were males who spent most of their day playing video games. However, now the ratio of playing video games is reduced as examined with past circumstances. Roughly we can say that the condition as a whole is better, the reason why players enforced video games in their post COVID-19 practical life 1 .

X-armed bandits have achieved the state-of-the-art performance in optimizing unknown stochastic continuous functions, which can model many machine learning tasks, specially in big data-driven personalized recommendation. However, bandit algorithms are vulnerable to adversarial attacks. Existing works mainly focus on attacking multi-armed bandits in discrete setting; nevertheless, the attacks against X-armed bandits in continuous setting have not been well explored. In this paper, we aim to bridge this gap and investigate the robustness problem for the X-armed bandits. We consider evacuation of a group of n ≥ 2 autonomous mobile agents (or robots) from an unknown exit on an infinite line. The agents are initially placed at the origin of the line and can move with any speed up to the maximum speed 1 in any direction they wish and they all can communicate when they are co-located. However, the agents have different wireless communication abilities: while some are fully wireless and can send and receive messages at any distance, a subset of the agents are senders, they can only transmit messages wirelessly, and the rest are receivers, they can only receive messages wirelessly. The agents start at the same time and their communication abilities are known to each other from the start. Starting at the origin of the line, the goal of the agents is to collectively find a target/exit at an unknown location on the line while minimizing the evacuation time, defined as the time when the last agent reaches the target. We investigate the impact of such a mixed communication model on evacuation time on an infinite line for a group of cooperating agents. In particular, we provide evacuation algorithms and analyze the resulting competitive ratio (CR) of the evacuation time for such a group of agents. If the group has two agents of two different types, we give an optimal evacuation algorithm with competitive ratio CR = 3 + 2 √2. If there is a single sender or fully wireless agent, and multiple receivers we prove that CR ∈ [2 + √5, 5], and if there are multiple senders and a single receiver or fully wireless agent, we show that CR ∈ [3, 5.681319]. In this work, we investigate the joint secrecy and latency performance of a multi-user backscatter communication (BC)-enabled vehicular network in the presence of a passive eavesdropper. Specifically, a number of vehicles intend to offload their tasks to a vehicle equipped with a mobile edge computing (MEC) server by utilizing dedicated BC communication and time division multiple access (TDMA) schemes. Meanwhile, a passive mobile eavesdropper attempts to intercept information from each user without any attacks. In order to investigate the performance of this system, we derive the closed-form expressions of the successful computation probability (SCP) and secrecy successful computation probability (SSCP) in two corresponding scenarios: with and without eavesdropper. In addition, the impacts of key parameters on the system's behavior to gain insight into its performance are also examined. Finally, the numerical results using Monte-Carlo simulations are provided to validate our analysis.

Street lights currently use more energy than other types of lighting because of an inefficient mechanism that makes the bulbs use a lot of electricity. The suggested approach uses various sensors on intelligent streetlights to keep an eye on and manage the lights. It has sensors for measuring temperature, brightness, and power that control dimming levels and keep track of status. One Zigbee network serves as the connection point for these lights. In the modification, a cloud- and IoT-based installation was made. Through Zigbee -based data transmission, sensor values are recorded on a distant server known as the Cloud. Additionally, it lowers electricity theft. We include a trash can notice in addition to this street light idea. When the garbage can is whole, a machine automatically notifies the business as people approach the sun, and the brightness of the street lights changes or is increased.

The growing size of available data has attracted increasing interest in solving minimax problems in a decentralized manner for various machine learning tasks. Previous theoretical research has primarily focused on the convergence rate and communication complexity of decentralized minimax algorithms, with little attention given to their generalization. In this paper, we investigate the primal-dual generalization bound of the decentralized stochastic gradient descent ascent (D-SGDA) algorithm using the approach of algorithmic stability under both convex-concave and nonconvex-nonconcave settings. Our theory refines the algorithmic stability in a decentralized manner and demonstrates that the decentralized structure does not destroy the stability and generalization of D-SGDA, implying that it can generalize as well as the vanilla SGDA in certain situations. Our results analyze the impact of different topologies on the generalization bound of the D-SGDA algorithm beyond trivial factors such as sample sizes, learning rates, and iterations. We also evaluate the optimization error and balance it with the generalization gap to obtain the optimal population risk of D-SGDA in the convex-concave setting. Recently, many multi-modal trackers prioritize RGB as the dominant modality, treating other modalities as auxiliary, and fine-tuning separately various multi-modal tasks. This imbalance in modality dependence limits the ability of methods to dynamically utilize complementary information from each modality in complex scenarios, making it challenging to fully perceive the advantages of multi-modal. As a result, a unified parameter model often underperforms in various multi-modal tracking tasks. To address this issue, we propose APTrack, a novel unified tracker designed for multi-modal adaptive perception. Unlike previous methods, APTrack explores a unified representation through an equal modeling strategy. This strategy allows the model to dynamically adapt to various modalities and tasks without requiring additional fine-tuning between different tasks. Moreover, our tracker integrates an adaptive modality interaction (AMI) module that efficiently bridges cross-modality interactions by generating learnable tokens. Experiments conducted on five diverse multi-modal datasets (RGBT234, LasHeR, VisEvent, DepthTrack, and VOT-RGBD2022) demonstrate that APTrack not only surpasses existing state-of-the-art unified multi-modal trackers but also outperforms trackers designed for specific multi-modal tasks. © 2020 IEEE.
