Blockchain technology has garnered increasing attention from researchers. Because blockchain systems may contain malicious or spatially limited nodes that may delay block verification and reduce block transmission rate, this work proposes a block transmission model by designing and using special clusters. This work proposes the cluster formation and selection mechanisms. Nodes are grouped into clusters in a blockchain, and clusters with high fitness values are chosen to transmit blocks by calculating their trust values and block transmission rates. The proposed method is compared with the peers: Layer-Chain, BlockP2P-EP and RNS. According to experimental findings, the proposed method is superior to its peers regarding the time needed for block synchronization and transmission, block occupation storage ratio, transaction throughput, and block transmission success ratio. © 2024 IEEE.

Ohrid trout(Salamo letnica)is an endemic species of fish found in Lake Ohrid in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia(FYROM).The growth of Ohrid trout was examined in a controlled environment for a certain period,thereafter released into the lake to grow their natural *** external features of the fish were measured regularly during the cultivation period in the laboratory to monitor their *** data mining methods-based computational model can be used for fast,accurate,reliable,automatic,and improved growth monitoring procedures and classification of Ohrid *** this motivation,a combined approach of principal component analysis(PCA)and support vectormachine(SVM)has been implemented for the visual discrimination and quantitative classification of Ohrid trout of the experimental and natural breeding and their growth *** PCA results in better discrimination of breeding categories of Ohrid trout at different development phases while the maximum classification accuracy of 98.33% was achieved using the combination of PCA and *** classification performance of the combination of PCA and SVM has been compared to combinations of PCA and other classification methods(multilayer perceptron,naive Bayes,randomcommittee,decision stump,random forest,and random tree).Besides,the classification accuracy of multilayer perceptron using the original features has been studied.

Charity giving is a fundamental aspect of society, but there are concerns about the accountability and transparency of the donation process. Blockchain technology has emerged as a potential solution, offering a secure and auditable platform for managing charitable contributions. In this paper, we explore the concept of empowering donors through blockchain technology and examine how it can help ensure that contributions reach the right recipients. We review existing literature on the topic and identify key areas for future research, including the development of hybrid blockchain solutions along with the implementation of novel consensus mechanisms. Moreover, providing the idea of decentralized autonomous organizations, self-executing smart contracts, and integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence and Internet of things. By providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of the field and outlining a roadmap for future research, we hope to stimulate further exploration of the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize charity giving, and create a more accountable and transparent system for managing charitable funds. Some research questions are designed for each novel idea. Our analysis suggests that blockchain has the potential to empower donors and ensure that their contributions make a positive impact in the world, but further research is needed to fully realize its potential. © 2023 IEEE.

Images from multiple medical sites usually contain varying noise levels that can affect the generalization performance of the denoising models. Domain generalization (DG), which seeks to learn a model that can generalize to an unseen test domain, has not been extensively explored in medical image denoising for multi-site images. We present an approach for multi-site medical image denoising, which addresses the issue of varying noise levels across different imaging sites. Our proposed method, called SCAF-DG (Spatial-Channel Attention Fusion for Domain Generalization), employs two attention units to extract both domain-specific channel features and mutually-invariant spatial features from the noisy images. These features are then combined to form a rich feature space. Additionally, we utilized skip connections to preserve structural information during the denoising process. We evaluate SCAF-DG on publicly available brain magnetic resonance image (MRI) datasets from three different imaging sites, and demonstrate an average increase of 1.01 in peak signal-To-noise ratio (PSNR) and 0.016 in structural similarity index measure (SSIM) for denoising images. Our results demonstrate that SCAF-DG has the potential to generalize well to new, unseen test domains, and outperforms existing state-of-The-Art denoising models on multi-site medical images. © 2023 IEEE.

The core of quantitative investment lies in predicting future trends in stock prices. The future trend of a stock is closely related to the industry it belongs to and its relationship with other stocks. Although some research has focused on stock trend prediction in recent years, most studies have only considered the stock's own time series feature, neglecting the spatial features between stocks. Some research has incorporated spatial information, but typically only considered predefined static relationships. At the same time, capturing dynamic spatial information in the market has been a long-standing challenge. Thus, we propose a spatio-temporal model, Finformer, in order to go beyond traditional time series models. We designed a sparse static-dynamic transformer to capture dynamic market spatial information as it changes over time and combined predefined relationships to extract highly correlated spatial features in the stock market. To effectively integrate spatial and temporal features, we introduced an adaptive spatio-temporal fusion module that dynamically fuses spatio-temporal features based on market conditions at different periods. Experiments on two real-world stock market datasets show that our proposed model outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines in the signal-based and portfolio-based metrics, which are widely concerned in the financial field. Ablation study and hyper-parameter study further reveal the effectiveness of each module in the model and the impact of hyper-parameters. The code will be made publicly available. 1 © 2023 IEEE.

There is a growing concern about adversarial attacks against automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. Although research into targeted universal adversarial examples (AEs) has progressed, current methods are constrained by inefficient exploitation of audio features, demonstrating insufficient attack ability and robustness in the physical world. To solve this problem, we propose a phoneme-tailored attack (PTA) to improve the quality of the generated AEs. Specifically, to improve attack ability, we propose a Diverse Audio Composition Enrichment method, which enhances the utilization of audio features through phoneme-level slicing and recombination. To adapt AEs to complex environments, we propose a Natural Noise Pattern Guidance method to align AEs with natural noise patterns to improve their robustness. Experiments show that our method achieves an average accuracy of more than 72.34% and 98% with and without a norm constraint, and also demonstrates excellent performance in terms of generalization across datasets and resilience to MP3 compression. © 2025 IEEE.

Recent years have witnessed remarkable progress in the development of large vision-language models (LVLMs). Benefiting from the strong language backbones and efficient cross-modal alignment strategies, LVLMs exhibit surprising capabilities to perceive visual signals and perform visually grounded reasoning. However, the capabilities of LVLMs have not been comprehensively and quantitatively evaluated. Most existing multi-modal benchmarks require task-oriented input-output formats, posing great challenges to automatically assess the free-form text output of LVLMs. To effectively leverage the annotations available and reduce the manual efforts required for constructing new benchmarks, we propose to re-formulate existing benchmarks into unified LVLM-compatible formats. Through systematic data collection and reformulation, we present ReForm-Eval benchmark, offering substantial data for evaluating various capabilities of LVLMs. Through extensive experiments and analysis in ReForm-Eval, we demonstrate the comprehensiveness and reliability of ReForm-Eval in assessing various LVLMs. Our benchmark and evaluation framework is now available at https://***/FudanDISC/ReForm-Eval © 2024 ACM.

This paper proposes a rumor control model based on community immunization. Based on the community division and the trust network inference algorithm, the model redefines the standard to measure the importance of nodes in the network. First, the model uses the Louvain clustering algorithm based on the Ochiai coefficient to discover the network community and then presents the trust network inference algorithm. By analyzing the key factors that affect trust transfer between nodes, the trust evaluation between unfamiliar nodes is inferred, and important nodes with a high degree of trust in the network community are calculated. Finally, combined with the characteristics of inner degree and outer degree centrality of nodes in the network community, five types of important nodes in the network are screened out. To avoid repeated selection of nodes, this paper identifies a group of key nodes in the network community for local immunization by means of deduplication and taking intersection, so as to realize effective control of rumors in the network. © 2024 IEEE.

Large language models (LLMs) are highly effective in various natural language processing (NLP) tasks. However, they are susceptible to producing unreliable conjectures in ambiguous contexts called hallucination. This paper presents a new method for evaluating LLM hallucination in Question Answering (QA) based on the unanswerable math word problem (MWP). To support this approach, we innovatively develop a dataset called Unanswerable Math Word Problem (UMWP) which comprises 5200 questions across five categories. We developed an evaluation methodology combining text similarity and mathematical expression detection to determine whether LLM considers the question unanswerable. The results of extensive experiments conducted on 31 LLMs, including GPT-3, InstructGPT, LLaMA, and Claude, demonstrate that in-context learning and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) training significantly enhance the model's ability to avoid hallucination. We show that utilizing MWP is a reliable and effective approach to assess hallucination.
