Pigmented skin lesions must be identified in order to detect hazardous skin-related disorders, especially cancer. To improve the correctness of skin cancer recognition, image detection strategies and classification abilities can be utilized. Based on the HAM10000 dataset, which contains 10015 photos, this research paper makes use of the dataset. An augmentation has been carried out on a subset of the dataset in the proposed work. Compared to an approach with &without data augmentation, is more likely to learn unique traits and attributes. To make the model more accurate, data augmentation is often used. However, until the model is strong, it will not be able to produce meaningful results when tested with the testing data. This work's model is robust since it makes use of the k-fold cross-validation technique. Machine learning methods and models from Convolutional Neural Networks have been evaluated for their classification accuracy. After comparing the suggested work's use of several machine learning methods, we found that Convolutional Neural Network produced the best results in terms of accuracy. We achieved a maximum accuracy of 95.53% using the CNN in the suggested setup. Early detection of seven types of skin illness is made easier by the suggested work, which may be authenticated and treated properly by medicinal professionals. © 2024 IEEE.

Purpose: Given how smart today’s malware authors have become through employing highly sophisticated techniques, it is only logical that methods be developed to combat the most potent threats, particularly where the malware is stealthy and makes indicators of compromise (IOC) difficult to detect. After the analysis is completed, the output can be employed to detect and then counteract the attack. The goal of this work is to propose a machine learning approach to improve malware detection by combining the strengths of both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques. This study is essential as malware has certainly become ubiquitous as cyber-criminals use it to attack systems in cyberspace. Malware analysis is required to reveal hidden IOC, to comprehend the attacker’s goal and the severity of the damage and to find vulnerabilities within the system. Design/methodology/approach: This research proposes a hybrid approach for dynamic and static malware analysis that combines unsupervised and supervised machine learning algorithms and goes on to show how Malware exploiting steganography can be exposed. Findings: The tactics used by malware developers to circumvent detection are becoming more advanced with steganography becoming a popular technique applied in obfuscation to evade mechanisms for detection. Malware analysis continues to call for continuous improvement of existing techniques. State-of-the-art approaches applying machine learning have become increasingly popular with highly promising results. Originality/value: Cyber security researchers globally are grappling with devising innovative strategies to identify and defend against the threat of extremely sophisticated malware attacks on key infrastructure containing sensitive data. The process of detecting the presence of malware requires expertise in malware analysis. Query processing over large datasets in an efficient manner is a challenge. It can be very time-consuming to perform range queries on vast data that has several features. This problem is often encountered in implementing databases. One solution to solve this problem is to maintain the data in the form of self-balancing binary trees that can return range query results in logarithmic time if the result set is considerably small compared to the data. In this paper an efficient data storage model using AVL trees is presented to solve this problem. The solution also presents its use over a distributed dataset using Hadoop framework. The paper also presents the modeling of the solution to MapReduce to perform range queries over distributed data. © 2021 IEEE.

Learning analytics is a rapidly evolving research discipline that uses theinsights generated from data analysis to support learners as well as optimize boththe learning process and environment. This paper studied students’ engagementlevel of the Learning Management System (LMS) via a learning analytics tool,student’s approach in managing their studies and possible learning analytic methods to analyze student data. Moreover, extensive systematic literature review(SLR) was employed for the selection, sorting and exclusion of articles fromdiverse renowned sources. The findings show that most of the engagement inLMS are driven by educators. Additionally, we have discussed the factors inLMS, causes of low engagement and ways of increasing engagement factorsvia the Learning Analytics approach. Nevertheless, apart from recognizing theLearning Analytics approach as being a successful method and technique for analyzing the LMS data, this research further highlighted the possibility of mergingthe learning analytics technique with the LMS engagement in every institution asbeing a direction for future research.

The proliferation of hate speech and offensive language in online communities has escalated into a significant societal concern, prompting an urgent demand for robust tools capable of automatically identifying and addressing such content. Introducing CivilityCheck, a comprehensive framework that seamlessly integrates Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) methodologies to uncover instances of hate speech and offensiveness within online discourse. Utilizing logistic regression models trained on Twitter datasets, CivilityCheck demonstrates remarkable efficacy, achieving a notable test accuracy of 95.4%. Moreover, the proposed framework extends its functionality into a user-friendly web browser extension, facilitating real-time analysis of social media content to cultivate a safer online environment. By endowing users with the capability to promptly identify and address toxic language, CivilityCheck contributes significantly to the propagation of civility and respect in digital interactions. This innovative solution stands at the forefront of combating online toxicity, offering a potent means to foster constructive dialogue and mitigate the harmful effects of coarse and regressive language usage on digital platforms.

Current wireless communications use the microwave band as its medium. Present-day wireless network makes use of the majority of the available spectrum. The word innovative Full-Duplex (FD) as well as the use Getting NOMA sharing scheme called Reflecting In-Band Full-Duplex (R-IBFD) is suggested in which piece in order to advance technology and meet the requirements of better utilizing these natural assets. In order to meet the needs of smart cities for 6th Generations (6thG or 6G), the suggested R-IBFD offers efsfective use of airwaves with superior system characteristics, including Concealment Outage Potential (SOP), efficiency, communication percentage, and secrets capacity. The suggested method aims to address the need for innovative algorithms which foster better transformation and usher with a digital shift in business specifications for 6G. Addressing suggested R-IBFD within this research primarily responds to the phenomenon of interference between channels related security issues. Most interference from co-channels experienced by In-Band Full-Duplex type devices experience among their individual communicating and reception antennas is greater. The use of R-IBFD lessens the impact of this disturbance and helps to secure a necessary transmission infrastructure. Using the aid of SOP creation, formulas, and modeling outcome, simulation, the rise of concealment capability and interaction using R-IBFD are explored for an improved comprehension of its contributions. Among of the many evaluation technologies being utilized to increase the concealing capabilities is an artificial algorithm based on genes. © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have been recently developed, and their advantages can be observed in a wide range of domains, from image processing to face detection. AI-based approaches can assist opponents to enhance their attack strategies while also improving cyber protection technologies. The efficiency of AI techniques against cyber security issues are evaluated. Here, the primary data and a quantitative study design approach is used. The information is then obtained from software industry professionals. The sample size for this study is 549 people, and it included confirmatory factor analysis, discriminant validity testing, model fundamental analysis, and hypothesis evaluation. All variables' P-values were found to be statistical, with the exception of intelligent agents, which had no meaningful relationship to AI or cyber security. The main issues were availability, geographical locations, study population, and other related variables. © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized multiple sectors through its growth and diversification, notably with the concept of collaborative learning. Among these advancements, federated learning (FL) emerges as a significant decentralized learning approach;however, it is not without its issues. To address the challenges of trust and security in FL, this paper introduces a novel blockchain-based decentralized collaborative learning system and a decentralized asynchronous collaborative learning algorithm for the AI-based industrial Internet environment. We developed a chaincode middleware to bridge blockchain network and AI training for secure, trustworthy and efficient federated learning and presented a refined directed acyclic graph (DAG) consensus mechanism to reduce stale models’ impact, ensuring efficient learning. Mathematical Selection is a method in which we select a particular choice from a set of such. It have always been an interesting field of study for mathematicians. Accordingly, Combinatorial Optimization is a sub field of this domain of Mathematical Selection, where we generally, deal with prob-lems subjecting to Operation Research, Artificial Intelligence and many more promising domains. In a broader sense, an optimization problem entails maximising or minimising a real function by systematically selecting input values from within an allowed set and computing the function's value. A broad region of applied mathematics is the generalisation of metaheuristic theory and methods to other formulations. More broadly, optimization entails determining the finest virtues of some fitness function, offered a fixed space, which may include a variety of distinct types of decision variables and contexts. Illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing practices pose significant threats to marine ecosystems and global fisheries sustainability. The detection and classification of loitering events, where fishing vessels spend an extended period in a specific area, are critical for identifying potential IUU activities. This research proposes a comprehensive approach that combines supervised and semi-supervised learning techniques to effectively detect and classify loitering events. By leveraging various machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression, Gaussian mixture models, support vector machines, and random forests, accurate predictions can be made to enhance surveillance and combat IUU fishing. © 2023 IEEE.
