Collaborative Metric Learning (CML) has recently emerged as a popular method in recommendation systems (RS), closing the gap between metric learning and Collaborative Filtering. Following the convention of RS, existing methods exploit unique user representation in their model design. This paper focuses on a challenging scenario where a user has multiple categories of interests. Under this setting, we argue that the unique user representation might induce preference bias, especially when the item category distribution is imbalanced. To address this issue, we propose a novel method called Diversity-Promoting Collaborative Metric Learning (DPCML), with the hope of considering the commonly ignored minority interest of the user. The key idea behind DPCML is to include a multiple set of representations for each user in the system. Based on this embedding paradigm, user preference toward an item is aggregated from different embeddings by taking the minimum item-user distance among the user embedding set. Furthermore, we observe that the diversity of the embeddings for the same user also plays an essential role in the model. To this end, we propose a diversity control regularization term to accommodate the multi-vector representation strategy better. Theoretically, we show that DPCML could generalize well to unseen test data by tackling the challenge of the annoying operation that comes from the minimum value. Large-scale and diverse businesses based on the cloud computing platform bring the heavy network traffic to cloud data ***,the unbalanced workload of cloud data center network easily leads to the network congestion,the low resource utilization rate,the long delay,the low reliability,and the low *** order to improve the utilization efficiency and the quality of services(QoS)of cloud system,especially to solve the problem of network congestion,we propose MTSS,a multi-path traffic scheduling mechanism based on software defined networking(SDN).MTSS utilizes the data flow scheduling flexibility of SDN and the multi-path feature of the fat-tree structure to improve the traffic balance of the cloud data center network.A heuristic traffic balancing algorithm is presented for MTSS,which periodically monitors the network link and dynamically adjusts the traffic on the heavy link to achieve programmable data forwarding and load *** experimental results show that MTSS outperforms equal-cost multi-path protocol(ECMP),by effectively reducing the packet loss rate and *** addition,MTSS improves the utilization efficiency,the reliability and the throughput rate of the cloud data center network.

As an enabler technique, data fusion has gained great attention in the context of Internet of things (IoT). In traditional settings, data fusion is done at the cloud server. So the data to be fused should be transferred from the sensor nodes to the cloud server before data fusion. Such an application mode of data fusion inherits disturbing concerns from the cloud computing framework, e.g., privacy-leaking, large latency between data capture and computation, excessive ingress bandwidth consumption. We take into account how to do temporal data fusion at the edge to bypass the above issues. We present a Gaussian process based temporal data fusion (GPTDF) method targeted for the problem of sequential online prediction at the edge. The GPTDF method fits the edge computing framework and thus inherits desirable properties from edge computing, such as privacy-preserving, low latency between data capture and computation, and tiny bandwidth consumption. Through a real-data experiment using archived traffic datasets from the Caltrans Performance Measurement System (PeMS), we demonstrate that the application of GPTDF can provide more timely and accurate real-time predictions at the network edge. © 2019 IEEE.

Universal deep network for steganalysis of color image based on channel representation

Up to now, most existing steganalytic methods are designed for grayscale images, and they are not suitable for color images that are widely used in current social networks. In this paper, we design a universal color image steganalysis network (called UCNet) in spatial and JPEG domains. The proposed method includes preprocessing, convolutional, and classification modules. To preserve the steganographic artifacts in each color channel, in preprocessing module, we firstly separate the input image into three channels according to the corresponding embedding spaces (i.e. RGB for spatial steganography and YCbCr for JPEG steganography), and then extract the image residuals with 62 fixed high-pass filters, finally concatenate all truncated residuals for subsequent analysis rather than adding them together with normal convolution like existing CNN-based steganalyzers. To accelerate the network convergence and effectively reduce the number of parameters, in convolutional module, we carefully design three types of layers with different shortcut connections and group convolution structures to further learn high-level steganalytic features. In classification module, we employ a global average pooling and fully connected layer for classification. We conduct extensive experiments on ALASKA II to demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve state-of-the-art results compared with the modern CNN-based steganalyzers (e.g., SRNet and J-YeNet) in both spatial and JPEG domains, while keeping relatively few memory requirements and training time. Due to its open-source nature, Android operating system has been the main target of attackers to exploit. Malware creators always perform different code obfuscations on their apps to hide malicious activities. Features extracted from these obfuscated samples through program analysis contain many useless and disguised features, which leads to many false negatives. To address the issue, in this paper, we demonstrate that obfuscation-resilient malware family analysis can be achieved through contrastive learning. The key insight behind our analysis is that contrastive learning can be used to reduce the difference introduced by obfuscation while amplifying the difference between malware and other types of malware. Based on the proposed analysis, we design a system that can achieve robust and interpretable classification of Android malware. To achieve robust classification, we perform contrastive learning on malware samples to learn an encoder that can automatically extract robust features from malware samples. To achieve interpretable classification, we transform the function call graph of a sample into an image by centrality analysis. Then the corresponding heatmaps can be obtained by visualization techniques. These heatmaps can help users understand why the malware is classified as this family. We implement IFDroid and perform extensive evaluations on two datasets. Experimental results show that IFDroid is superior to state-of-the-art Android malware familial classification systems. Moreover, IFDroid is capable of maintaining a 98.4% F1 on classifying 69,421 obfuscated malware samples. © 2021, CC0.

Biomedical named entities is fundamental recognition task in biomedical text mining. This paper developed a system for identifying biomedical entities with four models including CRF, LSTM, Bi-LSTM and BiLSTM-CRF. The system achieved the following performance in test data Genia V3.02: CRF with an F score of 75.91%, LSTM with an F score of 71.69%, BiLSTM with a F score of 74.37%, BiLSTM-CRF with a F score of 76.81%. Experimental results show the performance of BiLSTM-CRF model is better than other three models. Compared with CRF model, Bi-LSTM-CRF model has better recognition effect for biological entities in long text and entities that modified by modifiers. Therefore, CBLNER system lays a foundation for further relationship and event extraction, and could also provide reference for entity recognition research in other fields. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Due to the limitation of hardware resources, the traditional people flow monitoring system based on computer vision in public places can't meet different crowd-scale scenarios. Therefore, a people flow monitoring system based on MD-MCNN algorithm is designed, which is an application system combining the improved SSD object detection algorithm MNSSD and MCNN density map regression algorithm. In the initial stage, the system uses MNSSD for accurate detection and counting. If the people flow gradually reaches a certain threshold, the system automatically uses MCNN to estimate people flow until the people flow falls below the threshold. Through the experimental verification, the system can realize the people flow statistics of low-density and high-density people in different scenarios, and can be applied on the existing embedded platform. This scheme can be extended to smart cities, smart scenic spots, smart transportation and other fields. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The mobile robot adapts to the more complicated indoor and outdoor environments, and can expand its scope of application. In order to reduce the influence of the cumulative error caused by navigation in complex environments, the indoor mobile robot that combines Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and encoder fusion is designed and implemented. In view of the limitations of the traditional single lidar scheme, a Multi-sensor Fusion scheme is proposed to achieve indoor map construction, path planning, multi-point navigation and other functions, and a MSIF KartoSLAM (Multi-sensor Information Fusion) algorithm is proposed, which combines the KartoSLAM algorithm and Multi-sensor information to achieve map construction in complex environments. Through comprehensive testing in the indoor environment, the results show that the Multi-sensor Fusion scheme is superior to the traditional single lidar scheme, and can achieve higher accuracy in mapping and navigation. At the same time, the robot platform can also be combined with the Internet of Things technology and integrated into intelligent housing system. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the popularity of various smart devices and the application of sensor network technology, message transmission using mobile devices is becoming widespread. This paper focuses on the forwarding in mobile social network (MSN). The MSN is a special Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) consisting of mobile nodes. In MSN, nodes move and share information with each other through carried short-range wireless communication devices. Mobile nodes in the MSN typically access some building areas more frequently, such as schools, companies, or apartments, while visiting other areas, such as the roads between buildings, less frequently. The building areas that nodes frequently visit are called communities. To increase delivery ratio and reduce transmission time in MSN, this paper proposes a novel zero-knowledge multi-copy routing algorithm, Mixed Message Forwarding (MMF) which exploits and improves the metric, namely centrality. Centrality reflects the importance of a node in the network. MMF improves copy diffusion by using different directions of node movement as well. Special facilities called boundary boxes are added to the network scenario. Boundary boxes are special throw boxes. Throw boxes are relays with large storage space and fixed position. MMF is designed and evaluated, which utilizes the aforementioned boundary boxes to reduce transmission delay. The simulation results show that the MMF can improve the delivery ratio and reduce the transmission delay, compared with other algorithms. © 2019 by SCITEPRESS - science and Technology Publications, Lda.

SDN (Software-defined networking) are important for current network systems, such as cloud systems. The characteristics of flow in SDN and the impact of flow table entries and controllers on data packet transmission are analyzed. We propose an adaptive flow table adjustment algorithm for SDN called CFC (Combine flow table and controller). It is important for CFC to monitor the network traffic in real time. According to the proportion of active flow entries in the OpenFlow switch, the value of idle-timeout will be set dynamically based on the characteristics of different data flows. When the switch forwards packets, it will minimize the calculation load of controller, and allocate a reasonable value of idle-timeout to the idle flow table entries. So it can delete discarded flow table entries in time and improve the hit rate of data packets. The experiments show that the utilization rate of the flow table resource is enhanced. With the improvement of data packets' forwarding rate, the average throughput of the network has also increased. At the same time, it can also cope with the burst traffic in SDN and ensure them to be forwarded normally and effectively. © 2019 IEEE.
