Online High-Definition (HD) maps have emerged as the preferred option for autonomous driving, overshadowing the counterpart offline HD maps due to flexible update capability and lower maintenance costs. However, contemporary online HD map models embed parameters of visual sensors into training, resulting in a significant decrease in generalization performance when applied to visual sensors with different parameters. Inspired by the inherent potential of Inverse Perspective Mapping (IPM), where camera parameters are decoupled from the training process, we have designed a universal map generation framework, GenMapping. The framework is established with a triadic synergy architecture, including principal and dual auxiliary branches. When faced with a coarse road image with local distortion translated via IPM, the principal branch learns robust global features under the state space models. The two auxiliary branches are a dense perspective branch and a sparse prior branch. The former exploits the correlation information between static and moving objects, whereas the latter introduces the prior knowledge of OpenStreetMap (OSM). The triple-enhanced merging module is crafted to synergistically integrate the unique spatial features from all three branches. To further improve generalization capabilities, a Cross-View Map Learning (CVML) scheme is leveraged to realize joint learning within the common space. Additionally, a Bidirectional Data Augmentation (BiDA) module is introduced to mitigate reliance on datasets concurrently. A thorough array of experimental results shows that the proposed model surpasses current state-of-the-art methods in both semantic mapping and vectorized mapping, while also maintaining a rapid inference speed. Moreover, in cross-dataset experiments, the generalization of semantic mapping is improved by 17.3% in mIoU, while vectorized mapping is improved by 12.1% in mAP. The fusion module of RGB and infrared (IR) remote sensing images is the key of multispectral ship detection. Existing works have shown that the cross-attention-based feature fusion can achieve good performance by extracting the complementary information of RGB and IR modalities. However, the existing commonly used cross-attention mechanisms introduce lots of redundancy parameters and mainly focus on global feature interaction of multispectral images, ignoring local detail information that is also important for small ship detection. In this paper, we propose a novel multispectral ship detection approach named LoGFusion. In LoGFusion, we design the cross stage partial module with partial convolution (CSPMPC) to reduce feature redundancy and utilize the local cross-modal fusion module (LoCFM) and global cross-modal fusion module (GCFM) to capture both local and global cross-modal features. Furthermore, we introduce a Multispectral Small Ship Dataset (MSSD) containing over 5k ship targets for small target detection. Experiments on MSSD validate the effectiveness of our method in terms of small ship detection in multispectral images.

Background: To evaluate the effect of the weighting of input imaging combo and ADC threshold on the performance of the U-Net and to find an optimized input imaging combo and ADC threshold in segmenting acute ischemic stroke (AIS) lesion. Methods: This study retrospectively enrolled a total of 212 patients having AIS. Four combos, including ADC-ADC-ADC (AAA), DWI-ADC-ADC (DAA), DWI-DWI-ADC (DDA), and DWI-DWI-DWI (DDD), were used as input images, respectively. Three ADC thresholds including 0.6, 0.8 and 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s were applied. Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) was used to evaluate the segmentation performance of U-Nets. Nonparametric Kruskal–Wallis test with Tukey–Kramer post-hoc tests were used for comparison. A p <.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The DSC significantly varied among different combos of images and different ADC thresholds. Hybrid U-Nets outperformed uniform U-Nets at ADC thresholds of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s and 0.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p <.001). The U-Net with imaging combo of DDD had segmentation performance similar to hybrid U-Nets at an ADC threshold of 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p =.062 to 1). The U-Net using the imaging combo of DAA at the ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s achieved the highest DSC in the segmentation of AIS lesion. Conclusions: The segmentation performance of U-Net for AIS varies among the input imaging combos and ADC thresholds. The U-Net is optimized by choosing the imaging combo of DAA at an ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s in segmentating AIS lesion with highest DSC. The problem of the pricing equilibrium in multi-service priority-based networks isstudied by using Stackelberg game theory. Some concepts of the game theory were revisited first. Then, the existing results on two-user, twolevel Nash problem was reviewed briefly. Following this background, a new one-leader, two-level, two-user incentive Stackelberg strategy was derived and proved by employing the time delay involved.

Background: The widespread use of electronic health records in the clinical and biomedical fields makes the removal of protected health information (PHI) essential to maintain privacy. However, a significant portion of information is recorded in unstructured textual forms, posing a challenge for deidentification. In multilingual countries, medical records could be written in a mixture of more than one language, referred to as code mixing. Most current clinical natural language processing techniques are designed for monolingual text, and there is a need to address the deidentification of code-mixed text. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and underlying mechanism of fine-tuned pretrained language models (PLMs) in identifying PHI in the code-mixed context. Additionally, we aimed to evaluate the potential of prompting large language models (LLMs) for recognizing PHI in a zero-shot manner. Methods: We compiled the first clinical code-mixed deidentification data set consisting of text written in Chinese and English. We explored the effectiveness of fine-tuned PLMs for recognizing PHI in code-mixed content, with a focus on whether PLMs exploit naming regularity and mention coverage to achieve superior performance, by probing the developed models’ outputs to examine their decision-making process. Furthermore, we investigated the potential of prompt-based in-context learning of LLMs for recognizing PHI in code-mixed text. Results: The developed methods were evaluated on a code-mixed deidentification corpus of 1700 discharge summaries. We observed that different PHI types had preferences in their occurrences within the different types of language-mixed sentences, and PLMs could effectively recognize PHI by exploiting the learned name regularity. China has implemented retrofitting measures in coal-fired power plants (CFPPs) to reduce air pollution through small unit shutdown (SUS), the installation of air pollution control devices (APCDs) and power generation efficiency (PGE) improvement. The reductions in highly toxic Hg emissions and their related health impacts by these measures have not been well studied. To refine mitigation options, we evaluated the health benefits of reduced Hg emissions via retrofitting measures during China's 12th Five-Year Plan by combining plant-level Hg emission inventories with the China Hg Risk Source-Tracking Model. We found that the measures reduced Hg emissions by 23.5 tons (approximately 1/5 of that from CFPPs in 2010), preventing 0.0021 points of per-foetus intelligence quotient (IQ) decrements and 114 deaths from fatal heart attacks. These benefits were dominated by CFPP shutdowns and APCD installations. Provincial health benefits were largely attributable to Hg reductions in other regions. We also demonstrated the necessity of considering human health impacts, rather than just Hg emission reductions, in selecting Hg control devices. This study also suggests that Hg control strategies should consider various factors, such as CFPP locations, population densities and trade-offs between reductions of total Hg (THg) and Hg2+. Garbage image recognition and classification based on hog feature and SVM-Boosting

Due to the diversity of garbage types in our daily life, we will encounter many difficulties in the process of classification. In this regard, I combine hog features and boosting algorithm to develop a SVM classification method. Firstly, the input image is preprocessed to make the image more recognizable. Secondly, the hog algorithm is used to extract the features of the image. Finally, the classification device is trained, and the relevant information is sent to the image set. On this basis, the classification situation is detected. The final results show that the classification efficiency of the algorithm is as high as 95% or even more, which is about 10% higher than that of single SVM classification method. It can accurately classify garbage and has certain feasibility.

TSGN: Transaction Subgraph Networks Assisting Phishing Detection in Ethereum

Due to the decentralized and public nature of the Blockchain ecosystem, the malicious activities on the Ethereum platform impose immeasurable losses for the users. Existing phishing scam detection methods mostly rely only on the analysis of original transaction networks, which is difficult to dig deeply into the transaction patterns hidden in the network structure of transaction interaction. In this paper, we propose a Transaction SubGraph Network (TSGN) based phishing accounts identification framework for Ethereum. We first extract transaction subgraphs for target accounts and then expand these subgraphs into corresponding TSGNs based on the different mapping mechanisms. In order to make our model incorporate more important information about real transactions, we encode the transaction attributes into the modeling process of TSGNs, yielding two variants of TSGN, i.e., Directed-TSGN and Temporal-TSGN, which can be applied to the different attributed networks. Especially, by introducing TSGN into multi-edge transaction networks, the Multiple-TSGN model proposed is able to preserve the temporal transaction flow information and capture the significant topological pattern of phishing scams, while reducing the time complexity of modeling large-scale networks. Extensive experimental results show that TSGN models can provide more potential information to improve the performance of phishing detection by incorporating graph representation learning. Sparse Prior Is Not All You Need: When Differential Directionality Meets Saliency Coherence for Infrared Small Target Detection

Infrared small target detection is crucial for the efficacy of infrared search and tracking systems. Current tensor decomposition methods emphasize representing small targets with sparsity but struggle to separate targets from complex backgrounds due to insufficient use of intrinsic directional information and reduced target visibility during decomposition. To address these challenges, this study introduces a Sparse Differential Directionality prior (SDD) framework. SDD leverages the distinct directional characteristics of targets to differentiate them from the background, applying mixed sparse constraints on the differential directional images and continuity difference matrix of the temporal component, both derived from Tucker decomposition. We further enhance target detectability with a saliency coherence strategy that intensifies target contrast against the background during hierarchical decomposition. A Proximal Alternating Minimization-based (PAM) algorithm efficiently solves our proposed model. Experimental results on several real-world datasets validate our method’s effectiveness, outperforming ten state-of-the-art methods in target detection and clutter suppression. Improved quantum algorithm for A-optimal projection

Dimensionality reduction algorithms, which reduce the dimensionality of a given data set whereas preserving the information of the original data set as well as possible, play an important role in machine learning and data mining. Duan et al. proposed a quantum version of the A-optimal projection algorithm (AOP) for dimensionality reduction [Phys. Rev. A 99, 032311 (2019)] and claimed that the algorithm has exponential speedups on the dimensionality of the original feature space n and the dimensionality of the reduced feature space k over the classical algorithm. In this paper, we correct the time complexity of the algorithm of Duan et al. to Oκ4sksεspolylogsmnε, where κ is the condition number of a matrix that related to the original data set, s is the number of iterations, m is the number of data points, and ε is the desired precision of the output state. Since the time complexity has an exponential dependence on s, the quantum algorithm can only be beneficial for high-dimensional problems with a small number of iterations s. To get a further speedup, we propose an improved quantum AOP algorithm with time complexity Osκ6kεpolylognmε+s2κ4εpolylogκkε and space complexity O[log2(nk/ε)+s]. With space complexity slightly worse, our algorithm achieves, at least, a polynomial speedup compared to the algorithm of Duan et al.. Also, our algorithm shows exponential speedups in n and m compared with the classical algorithm when κ,k, and 1/ε are O[polylog(nm)].
