The two control objectives of voltage regulation and precise current sharing are conflicting in multi-bus DC microgrids. In this paper, a distributed control strategy is proposed, and it can achieve accurate current sharing and regulate the voltage of a critical node to the rated value. However, such a distributed control system is susceptible to potential cyber attacks that could deteriorate microgrids performances by corrupting communication links or actuators. To overcome these difficulties, we design the interconnected communication networks to establish a resilient cooperative system of multiple microgrids against unknown bounded injection attacks. The proposed resilient control strategy can achieve the control objectives of maintaining voltage regulation and current sharing within each microgrids under different operating conditions, and the interconnected system consisting of multiple microgrids cooperates to mitigate the adverse effect of cyber attacks. The dynamics and stability of the overall close-loop system of the DC microgrids are analyzed, in the present or absent of cyber attacks. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in two 4-bus DC microgrids. © 2023 IEEE.

A fundamental problem in many science domains is learning the causal structure of a system from observed data. The observed data canonically come from multiple environments (i.e. different times, locations, and measurements), and causal models may have unobserved shifts. Although the causal graphs can be identified by modeling the distribution changes among different environments, existing solutions can only learn causal structures when given environmental information. In contrast, we propose a causal discovery approach (CausalSME) which automatically identifies pseudo environments and unobserved distribution shifts. Specifically, CausalSME learns a causal model containing unobserved variables, which can correct the distribution shifts with mixed environments. The heart of CausalSME is a variational autoencoder that infers shifted causal effects of unobserved variables and guides the identification of environment information. It further divides the shifted samples by the identified environments to jointly learn an invariant causal model. We prove the structure identifiability of CausalSME with the causal additive model. In our extensive experiments we show that CausalSME achieves state-of-the-art performance.

The effective representation of business processes is a key problem of predictive monitoring based on deep learning networks. Most of the existing business process representation methods are unable to accurately reflect the characteristics and node information aggregation of events in the graph structure. Therefore, a business process representation method based on graph convolutional network is proposed. Firstly, the diagram structure is constructed based on the same prefix window event of the business process. Secondly, on the basis of the constructed graph structure data, the node vectorization representation based on graph convolutional network model is given, and the information is aggregated through the graph convolutional network. Then, the depth representation of nodes is applied to the downstream prediction task of the business process. Finally, five real datasets are used for experimental evaluation. The experimental results show that the proposed event log graph construction strategy and process representation method are effective in business process prediction. CAST: Contrastive Analysis of Spatial and Temporal Features for QIM-Based VoIP Steganalysis

QIM(quantization index modulation)-based VoIP steganography is an information-hiding technology that malicious users could misuse to engage in illegal activities. Its countermeasure, commonly known as the QIM-based VoIP steganalysis, has been one of the research hotspots over the past decades. VoIP speech data is sequential, so most previous studies have focused on the temporal features extracted from VoIP encoding codewords to improve detection accuracy. As a result, spatial features are often ignored or fully investigated. In practice, VoIP speech data has unique spatial characteristics. Spatial features could capture the properties of nearby codewords and frames. Inspired by the success of CLIP (contrastive language–image pre-training), we propose a novel model that could efficiently incorporate spatial and temporal features named CAST (contrastive analysis of spatial and temporal features). CLIP introduces the concept of contrastive language–image learning, which has demonstrated exceptional efficiency and effectiveness in aligning textual and visual representations. However, it is not directly applicable to the field of QIM-based VoIP steganalysis. In CAST, we introduce a way to align spatial and temporal features through contrastive analysis. Experimental results demonstrate that this alignment is resource-efficient and could enhance detection accuracy. Meanwhile, CAST outperforms other state-of-the-art models in most scenarios.

Cloud manufacturing system is a service-oriented and knowledge-based one, which can provide solutions for the large-scale customized production. The service resource allocation is the primary factor that restricts the production time and cost in the cloud manufacturing customized production (CMCP). In order to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost in CMCP, we propose a new framework that considers the collaboration among services with the same functionality. A mathematical evaluation formulation for the service composition and service usage scheme is constructed with the following critical indexes: completion time, cost, and number of selected services. Subsequently, a problem decomposition-based genetic algorithm is designed to obtain the optimal service compositions with service usage schemes. A smart clothing customization case is illustrated so as to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the method proposed in this paper. Finally, the results of simulation experiments and comparisons show that these solutions obtained by our method are with the minimum time, a lower cost, and the fewer selected services.

Concept-Level Semantic Transfer and Context-Level Distribution Modeling for Few-Shot Segmentation

Few-shot segmentation (FSS) methods aim to segment objects using only a few pixel-level annotated samples. Current approaches either derive a generalized class representation from support samples to guide the segmentation of query samples, which often discards crucial spatial contextual information, or rely heavily on spatial affinity between support and query samples, without adequately summarizing and utilizing the core information of the target class. Consequently, the former struggles with fine detail accuracy, while the latter tends to produce errors in overall localization. To address these issues, we propose a novel FSS framework, CCFormer, which balances the transmission of core semantic concepts with the modeling of spatial context, improving both macro and micro-level segmentation accuracy. Our approach introduces three key modules: (1) the Concept Perception Generation (CPG) module, which leverages pre-trained category perception capabilities to capture high-quality core representations of the target class;(2) the Concept-Feature Integration (CFI) module, which injects the core class information into both support and query features during feature extraction;and (3) the Contextual Distribution Mining (CDM) module, which utilizes a Brownian Distance Covariance matrix to model the spatial-channel distribution between support and query samples, preserving the fine-grained integrity of the target. Experimental results on the PASCAL-5i and COCO-20i datasets demonstrate that CCFormer achieves state-of-the-art performance, with visualizations further validating its effectiveness. Global Spatial-Temporal Information-based Residual ConvLSTM for Video Space-Time Super-Resolution

By converting low-frame-rate, low-resolution videos into high-frame-rate, high-resolution ones, space-time video super-resolution techniques can enhance visual experiences and facilitate more efficient information dissemination. We propose a convolutional neural network (CNN) for space-time video super-resolution, namely GIRNet. Our method combines long-term global information and short-term local information from the video to better extract complete and accurate spatial-temporal information. To generate highly accurate features and thus improve performance, the proposed network integrates a feature-level temporal interpolation module with deformable convolutions and a global spatial-temporal information-based residual convolutional long short-term memory (convLSTM) module. In the feature-level temporal interpolation module, we leverage deformable convolution, which adapts to deformations and scale variations of objects across different scene locations. This provides a more efficient solution than conventional convolution for extracting features from moving objects. Our network effectively uses forward and backward feature information to determine inter-frame offsets, leading to the direct generation of interpolated frame features. In the global spatial-temporal information-based residual convLSTM module, the first convLSTM is used to derive global spatial-temporal information from the input features, and the second convLSTM uses the previously computed global spatial-temporal information feature as its initial cell state. This second convLSTM adopts residual connections to preserve spatial information, thereby enhancing the output features. Experiments on the Vimeo90K dataset show that the proposed method outperforms open source state-of-the-art techniques in peak signal-to-noise-ratio (by 1.45 dB, 1.14 dB, and 0.2 dB over STARnet, TMNet, and 3DAttGAN, respectively), structural similarity index(by 0.027, 0.023, and 0.006 over STARnet, TMNet, and 3DAttGAN, respectiv

QoI-Aware Configuration Adaptation and Heterogeneous Resource Allocation for Edge Video Analytics

Edge video analytics enables agile responses of machine-centric applications by streaming videos from end devices to edge servers (ESs) for resource-intensive Deep Neural Network (DNN) inference. Quality of Inference (QoI), reflected by end-to-end analytics delay and inference accuracy, is crucial for the high-quality real-time decision-making. Due to the limited ES resources and dynamic network conditions, video configuration adaptation and fine-grained resource allocation are necessary to enhance the QoI of video streams, which involves a delicate balance between delay and accuracy. In this paper, we propose an edge-enabled multi-video analytics framework, in which performing DNN inference relies on heterogeneous resources, including CPU, GPU, and memory. Considering the different impacts of heterogeneous resources on QoI and double-queue backlogs, we formulate the joint video configuration adaptation, CPU-GPU resource allocation, and batch size selection (JCCGB) problem based on semi-Markov Decision Process to maximize the long-term average QoI. Then, Lyapunov optimization is applied to transform the original problem into one that minimizes the Lyapunov drift-plus-penalty upper bound, thereby ensuring the stability of both the transmission and computation queues. To tackle the potential multimodality of the optimal configuration adaptation and resource allocation policy, we propose the diffusion deep reinforcement learning based JCCGB (DD-JCCGB) scheme. This approach effectively enhances the policy performance and accelerates the training process. Experiments driven by real-world network traces demonstrate that the DD-JCCGB algorithm improves the long-term average QoI and outperforms baseline schemes. © 2025 IEEE.

Leakage Localization of Gas Pipelines Based on Modal Acoustic Emission and Cross-power Spectrum Peak Optimization

Leakage accidents in natural gas pipelines bring huge property losses and pose serious safety risks. Therefore, faster and more accurate leakage localization is of great significance. In this paper, a new method based on modal acoustic emission (MAE) and peak optimization of cross-power spectrum is proposed to enhance the performance of leakage localization. When a pipeline leakage occurs, the sensors installed on the pipelines receive the acoustic emission (AE) signals, which have various modes. Instead of extracting a single mode through complex algorithms, the proposed method directly extracts the cross-power spectrum of a specified mode by choosing the appropriate window function and window parameters to locate the leakage with velocity information from dispersion curves. Gaussian, Hamming and Blackman window functions are compared in the extraction of the cross-power spectrum of L(0,1) mode, among which the Blackman window function is found to be the most effective. The artificial fish swarm algorithm combined with the iteration criterion for peak optimization is used to obtain suitable window parameters. Finally, the localization error of the above method is less than 5.2%. In addition, the performance of the iteration criterion for peak optimization of cross-power spectrum combined with other intelligent swarm algorithms are investigated. The results show that the maximum errors of other intelligent methods are still less than 9%, demonstrating the great compatibility of the proposed method. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Graph learning-based multi-modal integration and classification is one of the most challenging tasks for disease prediction. To effectively offset the negative impact among modalities in the process of multi-modal integration and heterogeneous information extractions from graphs, we propose a novel method called Multi-modal Multi-Kernel Graph Learning (MMKGL). To solve the problem of negative impact among modalities, we propose a multi-modal graph embedding module to construct a multi-modal graph. Different from conventional methods that manually construct static graphs for all modalities, each modality generates a separate graph by adaptive learning, where a function graph and a supervision graph are introduced for optimization during the multi-graph fusion embedding process. We then propose a multi-kernel graph learning module to extract heterogeneous information from the multi-modal graph. The information in the multi-modal graph at different levels is aggregated by convolutional kernels with different receptive field sizes, followed by generating a cross-kernel discovery tensor for disease prediction. Our method is evaluated on the benchmark Autism Brain Imaging Data Exchange (ABIDE) dataset and outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. In addition, discriminative brain regions associated with autism are identified by our model, providing guidance for the study of autism pathology.
