In a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), the transmissions which combines the space division (SD) and the spatial modulation (SM) have been proposed. In the SD-SM-MIMO, the good system performance is achieved by using the QR decomposition with M-algorithm maximum likelihood detection (QRM-MLD) compared with the SD-MIMO. In the SD-MIMO with the QRM-MLD, deep neural networks (DNN) are adopted, and its effectiveness is indicated. However, in the SD-SM-MIMO, the effectiveness for the DNN is not evaluated. Therefore, this paper proposes the DNN based on the QRM-MLD for the SD-SM-MIMO.

This study presents a crawl robot driven by a single actuator using a bistable lattice structure. The propagation of deformation waves through a bistable lattice realizes the crawling motion of the robot. Bistable structures with energy differences between the two stable states and reset mechanism enable easy and intermittent wave propagation. By softening its body, the robot can change its direction along a curved rail during locomotion. The experimental results of the prototype show that the robot can produce locomotion on straight, curved, and slope-ascending rails.
