Atomistic modeling has been applied in studying and simulating the advanced junction technologies. We present in this paper the application of molecular dynamics method in simulation of low energy ion implantation and that of kinetic Monte Carlo method in simulation of enhanced diffusion in annealing. The dose dependent ultra-low energy implantation is well simulated. The simulation indicates that energy contamination is not as serious as it looks. The dissipation of Si extended defects are simulated for both 40 keV and 5 keV Si implantation cases. Enhanced diffusion is simulated.

Commodity software components are intrinsically untrustworthy and it is highly insecure to use them directly in mission critical systems. The trustworthiness of a system can be only vaguely specified or achieved without a quantifiable level of assurance measurement of the components used in the system. While large amounts of research efforts have been devoted to establishing a certain quantifiable level of assurance, none has been successful. This position paper introduces a new perspective of the assurance concept such that quantitative assurance for software component can be systematically specified. We discuss the background, our new assurance perspective, assurance specification and quantification from the new perspective, and their applications in system security.

IP QoS is one of the core technologies of IP network. The mechanisms to achieve IP QoS could be Sub Bandwidth Management(SBM), Multiple Protocols Label Switching(MPLS), IntServ, DiffServ and so on. But some of the above should be integrated for implementing completed IP QoS. At present, one of the most popular ideas is IntServ on the edge of network and DiffServ on the backbone. In this paper, we present a framework for completed end-to-end adaptive IP QoS by integrating DiffServ and IntServ, put forward the negotiation flow-chart of adaptive QoS on the Boundary Router and the QoS control flow-chart on the Interior Router.
