Due to the proliferation of rumors in social networks, automatic rumor detection has evoked increasing attention in recent years. Despite great progress achieved by exploiting multimodal features, existing works suffer from false discrimination issues due to insufficient multimodal modeling, mainly from two aspects: 1) neglect of the dynamicity of social networks. 2) misaligned multimodal features. To alleviate the issues, we propose DGM, Dynamic Graph Modeling for rumor detection. Firstly, dynamic graph attention is devised to exploit message propagation’s structural and temporal features. Secondly, we propose a modality-shared adapter to learn better multimodal representation. Thirdly, well-aligned visual-textual features are introduced to achieve better multimodality alignment and fusion, together with cross-modal attention and alignment supervision. We conduct extensive experiments on two public datasets, demonstrating the effectiveness and superiority of DGM. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In a nutshell, the IoT refers to the idea of integrating high-tech technology in the form of "smart"gadgets and sensors into a single setting to gather data. There are still numerous areas in which machines cannot compete favorably with people, but data collection and analysis are undeniably two of their strongest points. The Internet of Things makes it possible to fully or partially automation data, it involves related activities, which is obviously very important for the healthcare industry. What exactly is the Internet connected medical things, and how exactly might it make a significant impact on the sector? By having to apply the concept of the internet of things (IoT) to the field of medicine, several significant advancements have become possible, including the ability to automatically control the thermostat of containers while transmitting inoculations and antibiotics, the accurate tracking of the ailments of a lot of illnesses without a need for additional meetings with a general practitioner, the correct and most useful use of meds, and a great deal more. All of this is realizable because of the capability of MedTech gadgets to carry out continuous monitoring system. The potential applications of internet of things technology in healthcare are very interesting. Let's review the ways in which this technology. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of brain-machine interface and exoskeleton robot has been widespread application in gait correction, walking assistance, and numerous other scenarios. To effectively extract the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal features of motor imagery while wearing an exoskeleton, this study proposes a frequency band pre-determination method based on power spectral density (PSD) that enables common spatial patterns (CSP) to extract features from the frequency band with the highest energy in the EEG. The signal power spectral density of all channels is obtained at or near the average frequency of the maximum short interval frequency component energy. A second round of filtering is performed on the data, and the signal components are used as input for the subsequent feature extraction step. The CSP method extracts features from the spatial domain signal and generates feature maps. Finally, Support Vector Machines (SVM) are utilized to classify the EEG signals. Based on the pre-set gait of the exoskeleton robot and the motor imagery paradigm, feature extraction and classification of motor imagery EEG data during exoskeleton use were conducted, with an average accuracy rate of 77%. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method in extracting the motor imagery EEG features during exoskeleton use. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In this paper, we propose a lightweight facial expression recognition algorithm based on joint model compression. Firstly, we propose a self-distillation method based on facial expression recognition, which not only considers the overall output of the model but also focuses on the prediction results of each facial expression category, thereby improving the performance and generalization ability of the facial expression recognition model. Secondly, in order to further compress the facial expression recognition model, we apply a channel pruning method based on transformed L1 regularization. This pruning method imposes non-convex constraints on the parameters of the facial expression recognition model through transformations of the parameters in the L1 norm penalty term, achieving more accurate sparse regularization and effectively preventing overfitting of the model. Lastly, the pruned network is quantified to low-bit to obtain the final lightweight facial expression recognition model. The proposed method achieves 73.25% on the FER2013 dataset, with a parameter compression rate of approximately 50%, which achieves an effective lightweight. © 2025 SPIE.

With the ever-expanding ubiquity of the Internet, wireless networks have permeated every facet of modern life, escalating concerns surrounding network security for users. Consequently, the demand for a robust Intrusion Detection System (IDS) has surged. The IDS serves as a critical bastion within the security framework, a significance further magnified in wireless networks where intrusions may stem from the deluge of sensor data. This influx of data, however, inevitably taxes the efficiency and computational speed of IDS. To address these limitations, numerous strategies for enhancing IDS performance have been posited by researchers. This paper introduces a novel feature selection method grounded in Support Vector Machine (SVM) and harnessing the innovative modified Aquila Optimizer (mAO) for Intrusion Detection Systems in Wireless Sensor Networks. To evaluate the efficacy of our approach, we employed the KDD'99 dataset for testing and benchmarking against established methods. Multiple performance metrics, including accuracy, detection rate, false alarm rate, feature count, and execution time, were utilized for assessment. Our comparative analysis reveals the superiority of the proposed method, with standout results in terms of feature reduction, detection accuracy, and false alarm mitigation, yielding significant improvements of 11%, 98.76%, and 0.02%, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2023.

Hypergraph Neural Networks (HGNNs) are increasingly utilized to analyze complex inter-entity relationships. Traditional HGNN systems, based on a hyperedge-centric dataflow model, independently process aggregation tasks for hyperedges and vertices, leading to significant computational redundancy. This redundancy arises from recalculating shared information across different tasks. For the first time, we identify and harness implicit dataflows (i.e., dependencies) within HGNNs, introducing the microedge concept to effectively capture and reuse intricate shared information among aggregation tasks, thereby minimizing redundant computations. We have developed a new microedge-centric dataflow model that processes shared information as fine-grained microedge aggregation tasks. This dataflow model is supported by the Read-Process-Activate-Generate execution model, which aims to optimize parallelism among these tasks. Furthermore, our newly developed MeHyper, a microedge-centric HGNN accelerator, incorporates a decoupled pipeline for improved computational parallelism and a hierarchical feature management strategy to reduce off-chip memory accesses for large volumes of intermediate feature vectors generated. Our evaluation demonstrates that MeHyper substantially outperforms the leading CPUbased system PyG-CPU and the GPU-based system HyperGef, delivering performance improvements of 1,032.23 × and 10.51 ×, and energy efficiencies of 1,169.03 × and 9.96 ×, respectively. © 2025 IEEE.

This study investigates an automated COVID-19 diagnosis system based on convolution networks, which aims to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of diagnosis. In a systematic analysis of 1709 chest X-rays, the research team used the ResNet model of deep learning for training and evaluation. Based on a detailed analysis of the confusion matrix generated by the model, the study found that the weighted average accuracy of the model and the recall rate reached 94,04% with an F1 value of up to 0,9403. This data shows better performance of convolutional neural networks in automated diagnosis. The results of the study show that neural network technology can effectively relieve the workload of doctors and provide diagnostic support for future public health events. © 2024 IEEE.

The ICS protocols undertake critical functions in industrial control systems, by enabling real-time data exchange, data acquisition, parameter configuration, status monitoring, fault diagnosis, command issuance and execution. It serves as the foundation for the collaborative operations of all components in industrial control systems. With the development of internet technology, industrial control systems, which were originally physically isolated, have become new targets for hackers. However, due to the high level of privatization of ICS protocols and their complex workflow, existing methods are insufficient in detecting vulnerabilities in these protocols. This paper proposes a black-box fuzzing test method based on sensing the program runtime feedback. By collecting run-time statistics, including CPU utilization, memory utilization, disk I/O, and message interaction, our method is able to determine whether the program has triggered a new execution path, thus improving the efficiency of the fuzzing procedure. We evaluated our prototype on five open-source ICS protocol programs and discovered six reported vulnerabilities, among which five could cause the industrial control programs to become unresponsive or crash. © 2023 IEEE.
