Harnessing Trend Theory to Enhance Distributed Proximal Point Algorithm Approaches for Multi-Area Economic Dispatch Optimization

The exponential growth in the scale of power systems has led to a significant increase in the complexity of dispatch problem resolution,particularly within multi-area interconnected power *** complexity necessitates the employment of distributed solution methodologies,which are not only essential but also highly *** the realm of computational modelling,the multi-area economic dispatch problem(MAED)can be formulated as a linearly constrained separable convex optimization *** proximal point algorithm(PPA)is particularly adept at addressing such mathematical constructs *** study introduces parallel(PPPA)and serial(SPPA)variants of the PPA as distributed algorithms,specifically designed for the computational modelling of the *** PPA introduces a quadratic term into the objective function,which,while potentially complicating the iterative updates of the algorithm,serves to dampen oscillations near the optimal solution,thereby enhancing the convergence ***,the convergence efficiency of the PPA is significantly influenced by the parameter *** address this parameter sensitivity,this research draws on trend theory from stock market analysis to propose trend theory-driven distributed PPPA and SPPA,thereby enhancing the robustness of the computational *** computational models proposed in this study are anticipated to exhibit superior performance in terms of convergence behaviour,stability,and robustness with respect to parameter selection,potentially outperforming existing methods such as the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)and Auxiliary Problem Principle(APP)in the computational simulation of power system dispatch *** simulation results demonstrate that the trend theory-based PPPA,SPPA,ADMM and APP exhibit significant robustness to the initial value of parameter c,and show superior convergence characteristics compared to the residual balancing ADMM.

Cooperative UAV clustering for fair coverage of communication regions

Cooperative unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)cluster technology is considered a prospective solution for area coverage problems,enabling network access and emergency communications in remote *** this paper,we investigate how to control UAV cluster to achieve long-term and stable regional coverage while maintaining link connectivity and minimizing energy consumption,given the limited communication range and energy consumption of the UAVs *** this end,we propose a cooperative UAV cluster strategy based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL)to achieve fair coverage of communication regions,which we call MADRL-based cooperative UAV cluster strategy(MADRL-CUCS).Our solution is a centralized training distributed execution architecture and defines a cluster structure for leader UAVs and follower *** the premise of comprehensively considering the maximum coverage,we use a new energy efficiency function to minimize energy consumption,so as to extend the network lifetime of the UAVs cluster *** new fairness index and collision avoidance factor are used to ensure that the UAV cluster achieve effective and secure regional *** adopt depth first search algorithm to check the link connectivity of the UAVs during the coverage *** show that the MADRL-CUCS algorithm outperforms the benchmark algorithm.

Task offloading delay minimization in vehicular edge computing based on vehicle trajectory prediction

In task offloading,the movement of vehicles causes the switching of connected RSUs and servers,which may lead to task offloading failure or high service *** this paper,we analyze the impact of vehicle movements on task offloading and reveal that data preparation time for task execution can be minimized via forward-looking ***,a Bi-LSTM-based model is proposed to predict the trajectories of *** service area is divided into several equal-sized *** the actual position of the vehicle and the predicted position by the model belong to the same grid,the prediction is considered correct,thereby reducing the difficulty of vehicle trajectory ***,we propose a scheduling strategy for delay optimization based on the vehicle trajectory *** the inevitable prediction error,we take some edge servers around the predicted area as candidate execution servers and the data required for task execution are backed up to these candidate servers,thereby reducing the impact of prediction deviations on task offloading and converting the modest increase of resource overheads into delay reduction in task *** results show that,compared with other classical schemes,the proposed strategy has lower average task offloading delays.

With more multi-modal data available for visual classification tasks,human action recognition has become an increasingly attractive ***,one of the main challenges is to effectively extract complementary features from different modalities for action *** this work,a novel multimodal supervised learning framework based on convolution neural networks(Conv Nets)is proposed to facilitate extracting the compensation features from different modalities for human action *** on information aggregation mechanism and deep Conv Nets,our recognition framework represents spatial-temporal information from the base modalities by a designed frame difference aggregation spatial-temporal module(FDA-STM),that the networks bridges information from skeleton data through a multimodal supervised compensation block(SCB)to supervise the extraction of compensation *** evaluate the proposed recognition framework on three human action datasets,including NTU RGB+D 60,NTU RGB+D 120,and *** results demonstrate that our model with FDA-STM and SCB achieves the state-of-the-art recognition performance on three benchmark datasets.

A Blockchain-Based Efficient Cross-Domain Authentication Scheme for Internet of Vehicles

The Internet of Vehicles(IoV)is extensively deployed in outdoor and open environments to effectively address traffic efficiency and safety issues by connecting vehicles to the ***,due to the open and variable nature of its network topology,vehicles frequently engage in cross-domain *** such processes,directly uploading sensitive information to roadside units for interaction may expose it to malicious tampering or interception by attackers,thus compromising the security of the cross-domain authentication ***,IoV imposes high real-time requirements,and existing cross-domain authentication schemes for IoV often encounter efficiency *** mitigate these challenges,we propose CAIoV,a blockchain-based efficient cross-domain authentication scheme for *** scheme comprehensively integrates technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs,smart contracts,and Merkle hash tree *** divides the cross-domain process into anonymous cross-domain authentication and safe cross-domain authentication phases to ensure efficiency while maintaining a balance between efficiency and ***,we evaluate the performance of *** results demonstrate that our proposed scheme reduces computational overhead by approximately 20%,communication overhead by around 10%,and storage overhead by nearly 30%.

Single-image super-resolution(SISR)typically focuses on restoring various degraded low-resolution(LR)images to a single high-resolution(HR)***,during SISR tasks,it is often challenging for models to simultaneously maintain high quality and rapid sampling while preserving diversity in details and texture *** challenge can lead to issues such as model collapse,lack of rich details and texture features in the reconstructed HR images,and excessive time consumption for model *** address these problems,this paper proposes a Latent Feature-oriented Diffusion Probability Model(LDDPM).First,we designed a conditional encoder capable of effectively encoding LR images,reducing the solution space for model image reconstruction and thereby improving the quality of the reconstructed *** then employed a normalized flow and multimodal adversarial training,learning from complex multimodal distributions,to model the denoising *** so boosts the generative modeling capabilities within a minimal number of sampling *** comparisons of our proposed model with existing SISR methods on mainstream datasets demonstrate that our model reconstructs more realistic HR images and achieves better performance on multiple evaluation metrics,providing a fresh perspective for tackling SISR tasks.

Clustering is crucial for analyzing heterogeneous information networks (HINs). Mainly state-of-the-art algorithms often focus on single-type node clustering, overlooking the clustering of multiple node types and requiring manual setting of cutoff distances and clustering centers. This paper introduces a clustering algorithm integrating multi-type objects, named MTOClus, which generates multiple similarity matrices for different node types and assigns weights to each matrix to indicate their significance. By aggregating weighted similarity matrices, it creates a distance matrix. MTOClus automates cluster center selection through node sorting and mitigates the impact of outliers by utilizing the K-Nearest Neighbors approach to compute the cutoff distance. Experimental results across four datasets consistently show that MTOClus outperforms six other algorithms, underscoring its superior clustering efficacy. © 2025 SPIE.

Joint scheduling control of workflow in information communication network based on hybrid modelling

In order to overcome the problems of high packet loss rate of workflow scheduling data and high scheduling control data delay in traditional methods, a workflow joint scheduling control method based on hybrid modelling is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the network energy consumption model is constructed to obtain the link transmission rate and calculate the workflow energy consumption of information communication network. Secondly, the workflow task scheduling model is designed according to the calculated energy consumption. Then, calculate the data transmission time of workflow task. Finally, the hybrid modelling is realised by integrating the above three models, and the joint scheduling control of workflow is realised by using binary decision variables. The experimental results show that the data packet loss rate of this method can be reduced by 66.98%, and the scheduling delay is only 18 ms, which shows that this method has good control effect.
