Single Image Deraining Using Residual Channel Attention Networks

Image deraining is a highly ill-posed *** significant progress has been made due to the use of deep convolutional neural networks,this problem still remains challenging,especially for the details restoration and generalization to real rain *** this paper,we propose a deep residual channel attention network(DeRCAN)for *** channel attention mechanism is able to capture the inherent properties of the feature space and thus facilitates more accurate estimations of structures and details for image *** addition,we further propose an unsupervised learning approach to better solve real rain images based on the proposed *** qualitative and quantitative evaluation results on both synthetic and real-world images demonstrate that the proposed DeRCAN performs favorably against state-of-the-art methods.

Fake Face Detection Based on Fusion of Spatial Texture and High-Frequency Noise

The rapid development of the Internet has led to the widespread dissemination of manipulated facial images, significantly impacting people's daily lives. With the continuous advancement of Deepfake technology, the generated counterfeit facial images have become increasingly challenging to distinguish. There is an urgent need for a more robust and convincing detection method. Current detection methods mainly operate in the spatial domain and transform the spatial domain into other domains for analysis. With the emergence of transformers, some researchers have also combined traditional convolutional networks with transformers for detection. This paper explores the artifacts left by Deepfakes in various domains and, based on this exploration, proposes a detection method that utilizes the steganalysis rich model to extract high-frequency noise to complement spatial features. We have designed two main modules to fully leverage the interaction between these two aspects based on traditional convolutional neural networks. The first is the multi-scale mixed feature attention module, which introduces artifacts from high-frequency noise into spatial textures, thereby enhancing the model's learning of spatial texture features. The second is the multi-scale channel attention module, which reduces the impact of background noise by weighting the features. Our proposed method was experimentally evaluated on mainstream datasets, and a significant amount of experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in detecting Deepfake forged faces, outperforming the majority of existing methods.

A survey on cross-user federated recommendation

Recommender systems are effective in mitigating information overload, yet the centralized storage of user data raises significant privacy concerns. Cross-user federated recommendation(CUFR) provides a promising distributed paradigm to address these concerns by enabling privacy-preserving recommendations directly on user devices. In this survey, we review and categorize current progress in CUFR, focusing on four key aspects: privacy, security, accuracy, and efficiency. Firstly,we conduct an in-depth privacy analysis, discuss various cases of privacy leakage, and then review recent methods for privacy protection. Secondly, we analyze security concerns and review recent methods for untargeted and targeted *** untargeted attack methods, we categorize them into data poisoning attack methods and parameter poisoning attack methods. For targeted attack methods, we categorize them into user-based methods and item-based methods. Thirdly,we provide an overview of the federated variants of some representative methods, and then review the recent methods for improving accuracy from two categories: data heterogeneity and high-order information. Fourthly, we review recent methods for improving training efficiency from two categories: client sampling and model compression. Finally, we conclude this survey and explore some potential future research topics in CUFR.

In high-risk industrial environments like nuclear power plants, precise defect identification and localization are essential for maintaining production stability and safety. However, the complexity of such a harsh environment leads to significant variations in the shape and size of the defects. To address this challenge, we propose the multivariate time series segmentation network(MSSN), which adopts a multiscale convolutional network with multi-stage and depth-separable convolutions for efficient feature extraction through variable-length templates. To tackle the classification difficulty caused by structural signal variance, MSSN employs logarithmic normalization to adjust instance distributions. Furthermore, it integrates classification with smoothing loss functions to accurately identify defect segments amid similar structural and defect signal subsequences. Our algorithm evaluated on both the Mackey-Glass dataset and industrial dataset achieves over 95% localization and demonstrates the capture capability on the synthetic dataset. In a nuclear plant's heat transfer tube dataset, it captures 90% of defect instances with75% middle localization F1 score.

Cloud Computing (CC) is widely adopted in sectors like education, healthcare, and banking due to its scalability and cost-effectiveness. However, its internet-based nature exposes it to cyber threats, necessitating advanced security frameworks. Traditional models suffer from high false positives and limited adaptability. To address these challenges, VECGLSTM, an attack detection model integrating Variable Long Short-Term Memory (VLSTM), capsule networks, and the Enhanced Gannet Optimization Algorithm (EGOA), is introduced. This hybrid approach enhances accuracy, reduces false positives, and dynamically adapts to evolving threats. EGOA is employed for its superior optimization capability, ensuring faster convergence and resilience. Additionally, Chaotic Cryptographic Pelican Tunicate Swarm Optimization (CCPTSO) is proposed for privacy-preserving key management. This model combines chaotic cryptographic techniques with the Pelican Tunicate Swarm Optimization Algorithm (PTSOA), leveraging the pelican algorithm’s exploration strength and the tunicate swarm’s exploitation ability for optimal encryption security. Performance evaluation demonstrates 99.675% accuracy, 99.5175% recall, 99.7075% precision, and 99.615% F1-score, along with reduced training (1.79s), encryption (0.986s), and decryption (1.029s) times. This research significantly enhances CC security by providing a scalable, adaptive framework that effectively counters evolving cyber threats while ensuring efficient key management. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

Adaptive coupled-sliding-variable-based finite-time control of composite formation for multi-robot systems

This paper focuses on the finite-time control(FTC) of the composite formation consensus(CFC)problems for multi-robot systems(MRSs). The CFC problems are firstly proposed for MRSs under the complex network topology of cooperative or cooperative-competitive networks. Regarding the problems of FTC and CFC on multiple Lagrange systems(MLSs), coupled sliding variables are introduced to deal with the robustness and consistent convergence. Then, the adaptive finite-time protocols are given based on the displacement approaches. With the premised FTC, tender-tracking methods are further developed for the problems of tracking information disparity. Stability analyses of those MLSs mentioned above are clarified with Lyapunov candidates considering the coupled sliding vectors, which provide new verification for tender-tracking systems. Under the given coupled-sliding-variable-based finite-time protocols, MLSs distributively adjust the local formation error to achieve global CFC and perform uniform convergence in time-varying tracking. Finally, simulation experiments are conducted while providing practical solutions for the theoretical results.

Event-based nonsingular fixed-time containment control for nonlinear multiagent systems with dynamic uncertainties

Owing to the extensive applications in many areas such as networked systems,formation flying of unmanned air vehicles,and coordinated manipulation of multiple robots,the distributed containment control for nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) has received considerable attention,for example [1,2].Although the valued studies in [1,2] investigate containment control problems for MASs subject to nonlinearities,the proposed distributed nonlinear protocols only achieve the asymptotic *** a crucial performance indicator for distributed containment control of MASs,the fast convergence is conducive to achieving better control accuracy [3].The work in [4] first addresses the backstepping-based adaptive fuzzy fixed-time containment tracking problem for nonlinear high-order MASs with unknown external ***,the designed fixedtime control protocol [4] cannot escape the singularity problem in the backstepping-based adaptive control *** is well known,the singularity problem has become an inherent problem in the adaptive fixed-time control design,which may cause the unbounded control inputs and even the instability of controlled ***,how to solve the nonsingular fixed-time containment control problem for nonlinear MASs is still open and awaits breakthrough to the best of our knowledge.

Analysis of radiation diffusion of COVID-19 driven by social attributes

This paper first estimated the infectious capacity of COVID-19 based on the time series evolution data of confirmed cases in multiple countries. Then, a method to infer the cross-regional spread speed of COVID-19 was introduced in this paper, which took the gross domestic product(GDP) of each region as one of the factors that affect the spread speed of COVID-19 and studied the relationship between the GDP and the infection density of each region(China's Mainland, the United States, and EU countries). In addition, the geographic distance between regions was also considered in this method and the effect of geographic distance on the spread speed of COVID-19 was studied. Studies have shown that the probability of mutual infection of these two regions decreases with increasing geographic distance. Therefore, this paper proposed an epidemic disease spread index based on GDP and geographic distance to quantify the spread speed of COVID-19 in a region. The analysis results showed a strong correlation between the epidemic disease spread index in a region and the number of confirmed cases. This finding provides reasonable suggestions for the control of epidemics. Strengthening the control measures in regions with higher epidemic disease spread index can effectively control the spread of epidemics.
