DedupChain: A secure Blockchain-enabled Storage System with Deduplication for Zero-Trust Network

Permissioned blockchain is a promising methodology to build zero-trust storage foundation with trusted data storage and sharing for the zero-trust network. However, the inherent full-backup feature of the permissioned blockchain poses potential data privacy risks and substantial storage costs, hindering its usage as a storage medium. These issues necessitate the usage of secure data deduplication technology to mitigate them. Unfortunately, current secure data deduplication schemes are predominantly designed with centralized cloud servers in mind and are not suitable for distributed blockchain systems. The reason is that the full backup feature of the permissioned blockchain renders a wide attack surface to offline brute-force and frequency analysis attacks. In response, we propose DedupChain, a secure blockchain-enabled storage system with deduplication for zero-trust networks. DedupChain employs a trusted execution environment (i.e., Inter SGX enclave) in conjunction with Oblivious RAM (ORAM) to offer a novel security guarantee named oblivious data deduplication, which empowers DedupChain with the ability to defend offline brute-force and frequency analysis attacks. DedupChain also proposes several novel techniques to address the security and efficiency issues raised by the SGX enclave. We implemented a system prototype of DedupChain and evaluated its performance metrics. Our experimental results show that DedupChain exhibits satisfactory operational delays, throughput, and storage overhead. Security analysis shows that DedupChain is robust enough to withstand several types of attacks. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to apply secure data deduplication techniques to address data privacy and storage cost issues raised by permissioned blockchain when used as a zero-trust storage medium. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

Excessive emissions of nitrogen oxides from flue gas have imposed various detrimental impacts on environment,and the development of deNO_(x) catalysts with low-cost and high performance is an urgent *** oxide-based material has been explored for promising deNO_(x) ***,the unsatisfactory low-temperature activity limits their practical *** this study,a series of excellent low-temperature denitrification catalysts(Ha-FeO_(x)/yZS)were prepared by acid treatment of zinc slag,and the mass ratios of Fe to impure ions was regulated by adjusting the acid ***-FeO_(x)/yZS showed high denitrification performance(>90%)in the range of 180–300℃,and the optimal NO conversion and N2 selectivity were higher than 95%at 250℃.Among them,the Ha-FeO_(x)/2ZS synthesized with 2 mol/L HNO3 exhibited the widest temperature window(175–350℃).The excellent denitrification performance of Ha-FeO_(x)/yZS was mainly attributed to the strong interaction between Fe and impurity ions to inhibit the growth of crystals,making Ha-FeO_(x)/yZS with amorphous structure,nice fine particles,large specific surface area,more surface acid sites and high chemisorbed *** in-situ DRIFT experiments confirmed that the SCR reaction on the Ha-FeO_(x)/yZS followed both Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)mechanism and Eley-Rideal(E-R)*** present work proposed a high value-added method for the preparation of cost-effective catalysts from zinc slag,which showed a promising application prospect in NO_(x) removal by selective catalytic reduction with ammonia.

Enhanced Acceleration for Generalized Nonconvex Low-Rank Matrix Learning

Matrix minimization techniques that employ the nuclear norm have gained recognition for their applicability in tasks like image inpainting, clustering, classification, and reconstruction. However, they come with inherent biases and computational burdens, especially when used to relax the rank function, making them less effective and efficient in real-world scenarios. To address these challenges, our research focuses on generalized nonconvex rank regularization problems in robust matrix completion, low-rank representation, and robust matrix regression. We introduce innovative approaches for effective and efficient low-rank matrix learning, grounded in generalized nonconvex rank relaxations inspired by various substitutes for the ?0-norm relaxed functions. These relaxations allow us to more accurately capture low-rank structures. Our optimization strategy employs a nonconvex and multi-variable alternating direction method of multipliers, backed by rigorous theoretical analysis for complexity and *** algorithm iteratively updates blocks of variables, ensuring efficient convergence. Additionally, we incorporate the randomized singular value decomposition technique and/or other acceleration strategies to enhance the computational efficiency of our approach, particularly for large-scale constrained minimization problems. In conclusion, our experimental results across a variety of image vision-related application tasks unequivocally demonstrate the superiority of our proposed methodologies in terms of both efficacy and efficiency when compared to most other related learning methods.

PriChain: Efficient Privacy-Preserving Fine-Grained Redactable Blockchains in Decentralized Settings

Recently, redactable blockchain has been proposed and leveraged in a wide range of real systems for its unique properties of decentralization, traceability, and transparency while ensuring controllable on-chain data redaction. However, the development of redactable blockchain is now obstructed by three limitations, which are data privacy breaches, high communication overhead, and low searching efficiency, respectively. In this paper, we propose PriChain, the first efficient privacy-preserving fine-grained redactable blockchain in decentralized settings. PriChain provides data owners with rights to control who can read and redact on-chain data while maintaining downward compatibility, ensuring the one who can redact will be able to read. Specifically, inspired by the concept of multi-authority attribute-based encryption, we utilize the isomorphism of the access control tree, realizing fine-grained redaction mechanism, downward compatibility, and collusion resistance. With the newly designed structure, PriChain can realize O（n） communication and storage overhead compared to prior O（n2） schemes. Furthermore, we integrate multiple access trees into a tree-based dictionary, optimizing searching efficiency. Theoretical analysis proves that PriChain is secure against the chosen-plaintext attack and has competitive complexity. The experimental evaluations show that PriChain realizes 10× efficiency improvement of searching and 100× lower communication and storage overhead on average compared with existing schemes.

Surface Deposition of Ni(OH)_(2) and Lattice Distortion Induce the Electrochromic Performance Decay of NiO Films in Alkaline Electrolyte

NiO,an anodic electrochromic material,has applications in energy-saving windows,intelligent displays,and military ***,its electrochromic mechanism and reasons for its performance degradation in alkaline aqueous electrolytes are complex and poorly understood,making it challenging to improve NiO thin *** studied the phases and electrochemical characteristics of NiO films in different states(initial,colored,bleached and after 8000 cycles)and identified three main reasons for performance ***,Ni(OH)_(2)is generated during electrochromic cycling and deposited on the NiO film surface,gradually yielding a NiO@Ni(OH)_(2)core-shell structure,isolating the internal NiO film from the electrolyte,and preventing ion ***,the core-shell structure causes the mode of electrical conduction to change from first-to second-order conduction,reducing the efficiency of ion transfer to the surface Ni(OH)_(2)***,Ni(OH)_(2)and NiOOH,which have similar crystal structures but different b-axis lattice parameters,are formed during electrochromic cycling,and large volume changes in the unit cell reduce the structural stability of the thin ***,we clarified the mechanism of electrochromic performance degradation of NiO films in alkaline aqueous electrolytes and provide a route to activation of NiO films,which will promote the development of electrochromic technology.

Correlation Filter based on Trajectory Correction and Context Interference Suppression for Real-Time UAV Tracking

The discriminative correlation filter (DCF) is commonly utilized in UAV tracking because of its high tracking accuracy and computing speed. However, in aerial tracking scenarios, challenges such as target occlusion and similar object interference are likely to cause the predicted object position to deviate from the correct motion trajectory. To alleviate this issue, this paper proposes a correlation filter algorithm based on trajectory correction and context interference suppression for real-time aerial tracking. First, a tracking quality evaluation metric is proposed to determine the confidence of the current tracking results. When the object is in a low confidence status, the state matrices of the object position and velocity are constructed, and the Kalman filter strategy is utilized to correct the tracking trajectory automatically. In addition, temporal context-response regularization is designed to fully exploit previous temporal information in order to suppress background interference. Extensive experimental results on four mainstream datasets demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has high tracking performance while achieving a real-time tracking speed of 32 fps on a single CPU. A Risk Prediction Model Based on Crash History Data for Railway Trams

Risk prediction is an important task to ensuring the driving safety of railway trams. Although data-driven intelligent methods are proved to be effective for driving risk prediction, accuracy is still a top concern for the challenges of data quality which mainly represent as the unbalanced datasets. This study focuses on applying feature extraction and data augmentation methods to achieve effective risk prediction for railway trams, and proposes an approach based on a self-adaptive K-means clustering algorithm and the least squares deep convolution generative adversarial network(LS-DCGAN). The data preprocessing methods are proposed, which include the K-means algorithm to cluster the locations of trams and the extreme gradient boosting recursive feature elimination based feature selection algorithm to retain the key features. The LS-DCGAN model is designed for sparse sample expansion, aiming to address the sample category distribution imbalance problem. The experiments implemented with the public and real datasets show that the proposed approach can reach a high accuracy of 90.69%,which can greatly enhances the tram driving safety.

The power sector is an important factor in ensuring the development of the national *** simulation and prediction of power consumption help achieve the balance between power generation and power *** this paper,a Multi-strategy Hybrid Coati Optimizer(MCOA)is used to optimize the parameters of the three-parameter combinatorial optimization model TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz)to realize the simulation and prediction of China's daily electricity ***,a novel MCOA is proposed in this paper,by making the following improvements to the Coati Optimization Algorithm(COA):(ⅰ)Introduce improved circle chaotic mapping strategy.(ⅱ)Fusing Aquila Optimizer,to enhance MCOA's exploration capabilities.(ⅲ)Adopt an adaptive optimal neighborhood jitter learning *** improve MCOA escape from local optimal solutions.(ⅳ)Incorporating Differential Evolution to enhance the diversity of the ***,the superiority of the MCOA algorithm is verified by comparing it with the newly proposed algorithm,the improved optimiza-tion algorithm,and the hybrid algorithm on the CEC2019 and CEC2020 test ***,in this paper,MCOA is used to optimize the parameters of TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz),and this model is applied to forecast the daily electricity consumption in China and compared with the predictions of 14 models,including seven intelligent algorithm-optimized TDGM(1,1,r,ξ,Csz),and seven forecasting *** experimental results show that the error of the proposed method is minimized,which verifies the validity of the proposed method.
