Enhanced electromagnetic tunability of barium strontium titanate films via coating Pr modified yttrium iron garnet layer

It is hard to simultaneously realize the high dielectric tunability and low loss for the single Ba_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)TiO_(3)(BST)dielectric film made through chemical *** structured Y_(2.80)Pr_(0.20)Fe_(5)O_(12)(YPrIG)ex-hibits the merits of high saturation magnetization and a much high resistivity,which are helpful for realizing magnetoelectric double tuning and suppressing the dielectric loss of BST *** this work,Y_(2.80)Pr_(0.20)Fe_(5)O_(12)/Ba_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)TiO_(3)(YPrIG/BST)composite films were fabricated by sol-gel *** com-posite films exhibited a low dielectric loss(0.0087),and got a magnetic tunability of 11.73%at 10 kOe and 1.44 *** with BST film,the tunability of YPrIG/BST film was enhanced from 56.25%to 73.24%under the bias electric field of 800 kV/***,YPrIG/BST films exhibited an electromag-netic double *** electromagnetic tunability of YPrIG/BST composite films was as high as 80.40%at 1.44 MHz,under the DC bias electric field of 800 kV/cm and magnetic field of 10 *** phenomenon can be explained in terms of the superposition effect of electric field and magnetic field.

An experimental study on the curing of desert sand using bio-cement

In order to promote the development and utilization of desert sand,this study is based on researching the most suitable ratio of bio-cement,analyzing the shear strength and permeability of improved desert sand by combining bio-cement and fly ash,and clarifying the applicability of tap water in *** relationship between the two and the microstructural properties was investigated using the results of the straight shear test and the permeability *** results showed that the urease solution prepared with tap water had a more pronounced temperature *** urea concentration and the corresponding pH environment had a direct effect on the urease *** calcium carbonate yield was positively correlated with the calcium concentration,and the urea concentration was higher in the ranges of 1.0-1.5 mol/*** the enzyme-to-gel ratio decreased,the calcium carbonate precipitate produced per unit volume of urease solution gradually converged to a certain *** shear strength(increased by 37.9%)and permeability(decreased by about 8.9-68.5%)of the modified desert sand peaked with the increase in fly ash *** microscopic test results indicated that the fly ash could provide nucleation sites for the bio-cement,effectively improving the mechanical properties of the desert *** crystal types of calcium carbonate in the modified desert sand were calcite and aragonite,which were the most stable crystal *** study provides innovative ideas for interdisciplinary research in the fields of bioengineering,ecology and civil engineering.

SSA: semantic structure aware inference on CNN networks for weakly pixel-wise dense predictions without cost

The pixel-wise dense prediction tasks based on weakly supervisions currently use Class Attention Maps(CAMs)to generate pseudo masks as ***,existing methods often incorporate trainable modules to expand the immature class activation maps,which can result in significant computational overhead and complicate the training *** this work,we investigate the semantic structure information concealed within the CNN network,and propose a semantic structure aware inference(SSA)method that utilizes this information to obtain high-quality CAM without any additional training ***,the semantic structure modeling module(SSM)is first proposed to generate the classagnostic semantic correlation representation,where each item denotes the affinity degree between one category of objects and all the ***,the immature CAM are refined through a dot product operation that utilizes semantic structure ***,the polished CAMs from different backbone stages are fused as the *** advantage of SSA lies in its parameter-free nature and the absence of additional training costs,which makes it suitable for various weakly supervised pixel-dense prediction *** conducted extensive experiments on weakly supervised object localization and weakly supervised semantic segmentation,and the results confirm the effectiveness of SSA.

Ultrahigh energy storage with superfast charge-discharge capability achieved in linear dielectric ceramic

Ceramic capacitors designed for energy storage demand both high energy density and ***-ing a high breakdown strength based on linear dielectrics is of utmost *** this study,we present the remarkable performance of densely sintered(1-x)(Ca_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)TiO_(3))-xBa_(4)Sm_(28)/3Ti_(18)O_(54) ceramics as energy storage materials,with a measured energy density(Wrec)of 4.9 J/cm^(3)and an ultra-high ef-ficiency(η)of 95%which is almost optimal in linear dielectric that has been *** unravel the underlying mechanisms,we conducted a systematic investigation on the influence of adding paraelec-tric Ba_(4)Sm_(28/3)Ti_(18)O_(54)(BST)on both microstructure and macroscopic electrical properties of Ca_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)TiO_(3)(CST).Notably,the addition of BST effectively reduces the grain size of *** conduction mechanism is primarily governed by grain boundaries,where high-density grain boundaries act as barriers to charge carrier transport due to their elevated ***,the activation energy associated with grain boundaries increases with rising resistivity,implying a lower concentration of free vacancies within these *** increased barrier height for oxygen vacancy migration at grain boundaries compensates for the grain boundary defects,thereby resulting in enhanced breakdown *** characteristic offers a substantial advantage in terms of thermal and frequency stability(25-175℃,1-100 Hz).This work introduces a candidate material with outstanding comprehensive energy storage properties.

Deep Reinforcement Learning for Task Offloading and Resource Allocation in UAV Cluster-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

The combination of mobile edge computing (MEC) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has important implications for the future development of the Internet of Things (IoT). Additional computing power and extensive network coverage enable users to experience better quality of service even when terrestrial base stations (BSs) scarce or destroyed. In this paper, computational offloading and resource allocation for a UAV cluster-assisted MEC system are investigated. The cluster consists of a mobile UAV as the cluster head (UCH) and multiple fixed-position UAVs as cluster members (UCMs), where the UCH offloads the computational tasks generated by BS and assigns them to the UCM for collaborative processing. Since the positions of user equipment (UE) and UAV, as well as the speed and angle of UCH flight, are highly continuous, we construct a Markov Decision Process (MDP) and propose an offloading algorithm that combines a deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm with a Priority Experience Replay mechanism (PER-DDPG) in order to jointly optimise the user association and UE task offloading rate to minimise the system cost. Simulation results show that compared with the computational unloading algorithms based on actor-critical (AC), Deep Q Network (DQN), and Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG), respectively, the proposed PER-DDPG algorithm has good convergence and robustness, and can obtain an optimal unloading strategy with low latency and low power consumption. © 2019 IEEE.

Delta Compression Correction Method for Covert Communication in IoT

Covert communication can conceal the existence of wireless transmission and thus has the ability to address information security transfer issue in many applications of the booming Internet of Things(IoT).However,the proliferation of sensing devices has generated massive amounts of data,which has increased the burden of covert *** the spatiotemporal correlation of data collection causing redundancy between data,eliminating duplicate data before transmission is beneficial for shortening transmission time,reducing the average received signal power of warden,and ultimately realizing covert *** this paper,we propose to apply delta compression technology in the gateway to reduce the amount of data generated by IoT devices,and then sent it to the cloud *** this end,a cost model and evaluation method that is closer to the actual storage mode of computer systems is been *** on which,the delta version sequence obtained by existing delta compression algorithms is no longer compact,manifested by the still high *** this situation,we designed the correction scheme based on instructions merging(CSIM)correction to save costs by merging ***,the delta version sequence is divided into five categories and corresponding merge rules were ***,for any COPY/ADD class delta compression algorithm,merge according to strict to relaxed to selection rules while generating ***,a more cost-effective delta version sequence can be *** experimental results on random data show that the delta version sequences output by the CSIM corrected 1.5-pass and greedy algorithms have better performance in cost reducing.

Multi-hop quantum teleportation based on HSES via GHZ-like states

Implementing quantum wireless multi-hop network communication is essential to improve the global quantum network system. In this paper, we employ eight-level GHZ states as quantum channels to realize multi-hop quantum communication, and utilize the logical relationship between the measurements of each node to derive the unitary operation performed by the end node. The hierarchical simultaneous entanglement switching(HSES) method is adopted, resulting in a significant reduction in the consumption of classical information compared to multi-hop quantum teleportation(QT)based on general simultaneous entanglement switching(SES). In addition, the proposed protocol is simulated on the IBM Quantum Experiment platform(IBM QE). Then, the data obtained from the experiment are analyzed using quantum state tomography, which verifies the protocol's good fidelity and accuracy. Finally, by calculating fidelity, we analyze the impact of four different types of noise(phase-damping, amplitude-damping, phase-flip and bit-flip) in this protocol.

ASL-OOD:Hierarchical Contextual Feature Fusion with Angle-Sensitive Loss for Oriented Object Detection

Detecting oriented targets in remote sensing images amidst complex and heterogeneous backgrounds remains a formidable challenge in the field of object *** frameworks for oriented detection modules are constrained by intrinsic limitations,including excessive computational and memory overheads,discrepancies between predefined anchors and ground truth bounding boxes,intricate training processes,and feature alignment *** overcome these challenges,we present ASL-OOD(Angle-based SIOU Loss for Oriented Object Detection),a novel,efficient,and robust one-stage framework tailored for oriented object *** ASL-OOD framework comprises three core components:the Transformer-based Backbone(TB),the Transformer-based Neck(TN),and the Angle-SIOU(Scylla Intersection over Union)based Decoupled Head(ASDH).By leveraging the Swin Transformer,the TB and TN modules offer several key advantages,such as the capacity to model long-range dependencies,preserve high-resolution feature representations,seamlessly integrate multi-scale features,and enhance parameter *** improvements empower the model to accurately detect objects across varying *** ASDH module further enhances detection performance by incorporating angle-aware optimization based on SIOU,ensuring precise angular consistency and bounding box *** approach effectively harmonizes shape loss and distance loss during the optimization process,thereby significantly boosting detection *** evaluations and ablation studies on standard benchmark datasets such as DOTA with an mAP(mean Average Precision)of 80.16 percent,HRSC2016 with an mAP of 91.07 percent,MAR20 with an mAP of 85.45 percent,and UAVDT with an mAP of 39.7 percent demonstrate the clear superiority of ASL-OOD over state-of-the-art oriented object detection *** findings underscore the model’s efficacy as an advanced solution for challenging remote sensing object detection tasks.

Influence of Rubber Powder Movement on Properties of Asphalt Rubber from the Mesoscopic View

The research on asphalt performance mainly focused on the macro performance and micro *** analysis was introduced to study the effect of rubber powder movement on asphalt rubber *** the preparation parameters and the preparation process of asphalt rubber were determined,the modification mechanism and rheological properties were analyzed which revealed the compatible stability ***,the analysis model of asphalt rubber was established to focus on simulating the effect of rubber powder and the spatial movement on its mechanical *** experimental results show that rubber powder can make the asphalt rubber bear more uniform stress distribution and enhance the ability to resist ***,the rotational motion and final distribution of rubber powder have an obvious impact on the mechanical properties of asphalt *** the selected feature points,the average stress of rubber powder at 0°space angle is only 34.1%of that at90°space *** the rubber powders are all in parallel in the ideal state,it enhances the mechanical properties the *** study supplements the“mesoscopic”scale between macro and micro *** relationship between micro mechanism and macro properties of asphalt rubber will be established from the mesoscopic *** is also an effort to realize the effective correlation from micro,mesoscopic to macro in asphalt.

A computing offloading strategy for UAV based on improved bat algorithm

In the process of multi-UAVs cooperative reconnaissance operations, due to the limited battery capacity and computing resources of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), processing tasks can not only lead to excessive delay, but also increase the energy consumption of the UAV, which reduces the endurance time of the UAV. Therefore, we have proposed a mobile edge computing (MEC) system architecture composed of single unmanned helicopter (UH) and multiple reconnaissance UAVs. Among them, the UH as a MEC server to provide computing services for reconnaissance UAVs. By solving the computing offloading strategy problem of multi-UAVs, the objective is to minimize the weighted sum of energy consumption and delay for the multi-UAVs' task execution. In solving the problem, previous heuristic algorithms such as the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) are often used as basic algorithms for research, but they tend to converge early, fall into local optimum easily, and have low solution accuracy, making it difficult to obtain the optimal offloading strategy. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved bat algorithm (IBA) with fast convergence ability and global search ability. Through the simulation experiments and comparative analysis of PSO, BA, IPSO and IBA, it is proved that the IBA is more accurate, stable, and efficient in solving this problem based on the system architecture proposed in this paper, and effectively reduces the weighted sum of energy consumption and delay for the multi-UAVs' task execution. © 2023
