Transferable adversarial slow feature extraction network for few-shot quality prediction in coal-to-ethylene glycol process

In the coal-to-ethylene glycol(CTEG)process,precisely estimating quality variables is crucial for process monitoring,optimization,and control.A significant challenge in this regard is relying on offline laboratory analysis to obtain these variables,which often incurs substantial monetary costs and significant time *** resulting few-shot learning scenarios present a hurdle to the efficient development of predictive *** address this issue,our study introduces the transferable adversarial slow feature extraction network(TASF-Net),an innovative approach designed specifically for few-shot quality prediction in the CTEG ***-Net uniquely integrates the slowness principle with a deep Bayesian framework,effectively capturing the nonlinear and inertial characteristics of the CTEG ***,the model employs a variable attention mechanism to identify quality-related input variables adaptively at each time step.A key strength of TASF-Net lies in its ability to navigate the complex measurement noise,outliers,and system interference typical in CTEG *** learning strategy using a min-max game is adopted to improve its robustness and ability to model irregular industrial data accurately and ***,an incremental refining transfer learning framework is designed to further improve few-shot prediction performance achieved by transferring knowledge from the pretrained model on the source domain to the target *** effectiveness and superiority of TASF-Net have been empirically validated using a real-world CTEG *** with some state-of-the-art methods,TASF-Net demonstrates exceptional capability in addressing the intricate challenges for few-shot quality prediction in the CTEG process.

Recent years have witnessed the rapid development of service‐oriented computing *** boom of Web services increases software developers'selection burden in developing new service‐based systems such as *** recommending appropriate component services for developers to build new mashups has become a fundamental problem in service‐oriented software *** service recom-mendation approaches are mainly designed for mashup development in the single‐round *** is hard for them to effectively update recommendation results according to developers'requirements and behaviours(*** service selection).To address this issue,the authors propose a service bundle recommendation framework based on deep learning,DLISR,which aims to capture the interactions among the target mashup to build,selected(component)services,and the following service to ***,an attention mechanism is employed in DLISR to weigh selected services when rec-ommending a candidate *** authors also design two separate models for learning interactions from the perspectives of content and invocation history,respectively,and a hybrid model called *** on a real‐world dataset indicate that HISR can outperform several state‐of‐the‐art service recommendation methods to develop new mashups iteratively.

Adaptive multicolor filters have emerged as key components for ensuring color accuracy and resolution in outdoor visual ***,the current state of this technology is still in its infancy and largely reliant on liquid crystal devices that require high voltage and bulky structural ***,we present a multicolor nanofilter consisting of multilayered‘active’plasmonic nanocomposites,wherein metallic nanoparticles are embedded within a conductive polymer *** nanocomposites are fabricated with a total thickness below 100 nm using a‘lithography-free’method at the wafer level,and they inherently exhibit three prominent optical modes,accompanying scattering phenomena that produce distinct dichroic reflection and transmission ***,a pivotal achievement is that all these colors are electrically manipulated with an applied external voltage of less than 1 V with 3.5 s of switching speed,encompassing the entire visible ***,this electrically programmable multicolor function enables the effective and dynamic modulation of the color temperature of white light across the warm-to-cool spectrum(3250 K-6250 K).This transformative capability is exceptionally valuable for enhancing the performance of outdoor optical devices that are independent of factors such as the sun’s elevation and prevailing weather conditions.

A Task-Oriented Hybrid Cloud Architecture with Deep Cognition Mechanism for Intelligent Space

Intelligent Space(IS)is widely regarded as a promising paradigm for improving quality of life through using service task *** the field matures,various state-of-the-art IS architectures have been *** of the IS architectures designed for service robots face the problems of fixedfunction modules and low scalability when performing service *** this end,we propose a hybrid cloud service robot architecture based on a Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA).Specifically,we first use the distributed deployment of functional modules to solve the problem of high computing resource ***,the Socket communication interface layer is designed to improve the calling efficiency of the function ***,the private cloud service knowledge base and the dataset for the home environment are used to improve the robustness and success rate of the robot when performing ***,we design and deploy an interactive system based on Browser/Server(B/S)architecture,which aims to display the status of the robot in real-time as well as to expand and call the robot *** system is integrated into the private cloud framework,which provides a feasible solution for improving the quality of ***,it also fully reveals how to actively discover and provide the robot service mechanism of service tasks in the right *** results of extensive experiments show that our cloud system provides sufficient prior knowledge that can assist the robot in completing service *** is an efficient way to transmit data and reduce the computational burden on the *** using our cloud detection module,the robot system can save approximately 25% of the averageCPUusage and reduce the average detection time by 0.1 s compared to the locally deployed system,demonstrating the reliability and practicality of our proposed architecture.

With the participation of large quantities of renewable energy in power system operations,their volatility and intermittence increases the difficulties and challenges of power system economic *** the uncertainty of renewable energy generation,based on the distributionally robust optimization method,a two-stage economic dispatch model is proposed to minimize the total operation *** this paper,it is assumed that the fluctuating of renewable power generation follows the unknown probability distribution that is restricted in an ambiguity set,which is established by utilizing the first-order moment information of available historical ***,the theory of conditional value-at-risk is introduced to transform the model into a tractable model,which we call robust counterpart *** on the stochastic dual dynamic programming method,an improved iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the robust counterpart ***,the convergence optimum can be obtained by the improved iterative algorithm,which performs a forward pass and backward pass repeatedly in each iterative ***,by comparing with other methods,the results on the modified IEEE 6-bus,118-bus,and 300-bus system show the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed model and method.

Fault diagnosis of rotating machinery driven by induction motors has received increasing attention. Current diagnostic methods, which can be performed on existing inverters or current transformers of three-phase induction machines, have become a more economical and reliable alternative to vibration diagnostic methods. Existing references mainly focus on the stator current analysis of single-phase, but most single-phase current analysis methods utilize only a fraction of the total information accessible in the three-phase system. Field experience shows that zero-sequence current (ZSC) has more distinctive fault characteristics compared to single-phase current, and therefore it is better to use in mechanical fault detection and diagnostic tasks. This article proposes a novel sparse learning-based method for ZSC analysis for induction rotating motor drive fault diagnosis. First, it elaborates and compares the effectiveness of ZSC in revealing fault characteristics compared with single-phase current by analyzing the fault diagnosis mechanism of ZSC. In addition, the method proposes a correlation entropy-enhanced sparse learning method for the problem of high-frequency noise and interference in the ZSC signals, so as to enhance the learning of the features of the noise-containing signals. The diagnostic efficacy of the proposed method has been verified through experiments on two real datasets. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

The trajectory tracking control performance of nonholonomic wheeled mobile robots(NWMRs)is subject to nonholonomic constraints,system uncertainties,and external *** paper proposes a barrier function-based adaptive sliding mode control(BFASMC)method to provide high-precision,fast-response performance and robustness for *** with the conventional adaptive sliding mode control,the proposed control strategy can guarantee that the sliding mode variables converge to a predefined neighborhood of origin with a predefined reaching time independent of the prior knowledge of the uncertainties and disturbances *** advantage of the proposed algorithm is that the control gains can be adaptively adjusted to follow the disturbances amplitudes thanks to the barrier *** benefit is that the overestimation of control gain can be eliminated,resulting in chattering ***,a modified barrier function-like control gain is employed to prevent the input saturation problem due to the physical limit of the *** stability analysis and comparative experiments demonstrate that the proposed BFASMC can ensure the prespecified convergence performance of the NWMR system output variables and strong robustness against uncertainties/disturbances.
