Manhattan-based k-member clustering and enhanced rabbit optimization algorithm for k-anonymization in social network

Online social networks are becoming more and more popular, according to recent trends. The user's primary concern is the secure preservation of their data and privacy. A well-known method for preventing individual identity in publicly accessible datasets is K-anonymization. Existing anonymity techniques' primary drawback is that they're susceptible to similarity and attribute disclosure attacks. Furthermore, a large amount of data has been lost in the given database. To address this limitation, the proposed model integrated an anonymizing algorithm with Manhattan-based k-member clustering and an enhanced rabbit optimization algorithm (MKCAEROA). The Manhattan distance-based k member (MKCA) clustering algorithm is employed in this case to cluster the initial database. The resulting clusters are then further optimized, and the original database is made anonymous, using the enhanced rabbit optimization algorithm (EROA). In the suggested model, EROA is included to satisfy the specified anonymity constraints while concurrently minimizing the clustering error rate and the generated information loss. When compared to existing approaches, the experimental results demonstrate that the suggested method provides the highest clustering accuracy with the least amount of information loss. A Task-Oriented Hybrid Cloud Architecture with Deep Cognition Mechanism for Intelligent Space

Intelligent Space(IS)is widely regarded as a promising paradigm for improving quality of life through using service task *** the field matures,various state-of-the-art IS architectures have been *** of the IS architectures designed for service robots face the problems of fixedfunction modules and low scalability when performing service *** this end,we propose a hybrid cloud service robot architecture based on a Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA).Specifically,we first use the distributed deployment of functional modules to solve the problem of high computing resource ***,the Socket communication interface layer is designed to improve the calling efficiency of the function ***,the private cloud service knowledge base and the dataset for the home environment are used to improve the robustness and success rate of the robot when performing ***,we design and deploy an interactive system based on Browser/Server(B/S)architecture,which aims to display the status of the robot in real-time as well as to expand and call the robot *** system is integrated into the private cloud framework,which provides a feasible solution for improving the quality of ***,it also fully reveals how to actively discover and provide the robot service mechanism of service tasks in the right *** results of extensive experiments show that our cloud system provides sufficient prior knowledge that can assist the robot in completing service *** is an efficient way to transmit data and reduce the computational burden on the *** using our cloud detection module,the robot system can save approximately 25% of the averageCPUusage and reduce the average detection time by 0.1 s compared to the locally deployed system,demonstrating the reliability and practicality of our proposed architecture.

Cloud computing involves accessing and using computing resources, such as servers, storage, and software applications, over the Internet, enabling scalable access on demand. Cloud computing systems are becoming an essential platform for scientific applications. They enable task scheduling and IT resource allocation. When these resources are not enough to meet demand, planning techniques are necessary. We propose to apply an improved ACO algorithm for intelligent task scheduling and appropriate resource allocation in a cloud environment. This work proposes a modified version of the ACO algorithm that can quickly converge to the best solution to further optimize the total response time, the average response time and the total execution cost. The algorithm suggested based on artificial intelligence application of enhanced ACO is compared with the classical ACO algorithm using Cloudsim simulator. The results obtained after the experiments and simulation are very encouraging to adopt this technique. © (2025), (West University of Timisoara). All rights reserved.

Enhancing anemia detection through multimodal data fusion: a non-invasive approach using EHRs and conjunctiva images

Anemia detection using multimodal approaches leverages the integration of multiple data sources, such as imaging, clinical records, and hematological parameters, to improve diagnostic accuracy. Such methods can capture the complex interplay of factors contributing to anemia, providing a more comprehensive assessment than traditional single-modality techniques. In this research, a novel deep learning multi-modal feature fusion approach is proposed for the automated detection of anemia using EHRs (Electronic Health Records), and Conjunctiva image dataset. First, EHR records are preporcessed by selecting the most appropriate features using Random Forest. The features from the conjunctiva images are extracted using RCBAM (Reverse Convolution Block Attention Mechanism). After that, GRAD-Cam algorithm is applied to calculate the pixel percentages of all the features. The output of Random Forest and GRAD-Cam algorithms is concatenated to form a multimodal fusion. The important information from the concatenated features is selected with the help of a professional healthcare consultant. The different experiments are performed on textual and image datasets individually and after concatenating. The results show that the proposed model outperforms from state-of-the-art methods with an accuracy of 95%. Despite challenges such as class imbalance and computational demands, our findings reveal substantial clinical potential, offering a patient-friendly and accessible diagnostic solution. © The Author(s) 2024.

Multi-Objective Offloading Optimization in MEC and Vehicular-Fog Systems: A Distributed-TD3 Approach

The emergence of 5G networks has enabled the deployment of a two-tier edge and vehicular-fog network. It comprises Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) and Vehicular-Fogs (VFs), strategically positioned closer to Internet of Things (IoT) devices, reducing propagation latency compared to cloud-based solutions and ensuring satisfactory quality of service (QoS). However, during high-traffic events like concerts or athletic contests, MEC sites may face congestion and become overloaded. Utilizing offloading techniques, we can transfer computationally intensive tasks from resource-constrained devices to those with sufficient capacity, for accelerating tasks and extending device battery life. In this research, we consider offloading within a two-tier MEC and VF architecture, involving offloading from MEC to MEC and from MEC to VF. The primary objective is to minimize the average system cost, considering both latency and energy consumption. To achieve this goal, we formulate a multi-objective optimization problem aimed at minimizing latency and energy while considering given resource constraints. To facilitate decision-making for nearly optimal computational offloading, we design an equivalent reinforcement learning environment that accurately represents the network architecture and the formulated problem. To accomplish this, we propose a Distributed-TD3 (DTD3) approach, which builds on the TD3 algorithm. Extensive simulations, demonstrate that our strategy achieves faster convergence and higher efficiency compared to other benchmark solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

Understanding Brain Network Stimulation for Emotion Analyzing Connectivity Feature Map from Electroencephalography

In understanding brain functioning by Electroencephalography (EEG), it is essential to be able to not only identify more active brain areas but also understand connectivity among different areas. The functional and efficient connectivity networks of the brain have been examined in this study by constructing a connectivity feature map (CFM) with four widely used connectivity methods from the Database for Emotion Analysis Using Physiological Signals (DEAP) emotional EEG data to research how this connectivity’s patterns are influenced by emotion. According to the investigation results, emotions are mainly related to the parietal, central, and frontal regions. The parietal region is more responsible for emotion alteration among these three regions. Positive emotions are associated with more direct correlations and dependencies than negative ones. When experiencing negative emotions, the regions of the brain function more synchronously as well as there are less flow of information. Whether direct or inverse, there is less correlation between brain regions in the higher frequency band than in the lower frequency band. Higher frequencies are associated with increased dependence and directed information transfer between brain regions. Generally, the electrodes in the same lobe show stronger connectivity than those in different lobes. At a glance, the present study is a comprehensive analysis to understand brain network stimulation for emotion from EEG, and it significantly differs from the existing emotion recognition studies typically focused on recognition proficiency. © (2025), (science and Information Organization). YOLOv8-Based Frameworks for Liver and Tumor Segmentation Task on LiTS

Accurate liver tumor diagnosis in clinical practice relies on precisely delineating the liver and identifying potential tumors in Computed Tomography scans. This study aims to develop a lightweight liver and tumor segmentation model, balancing computational cost and accuracy. Traditional methods use Convolutional Neural Networks that enhance the performance but heighten the computational costs. Addressing it, this study presents three frameworks: Sim-Seg, Seg-Seg, and BB-Seg for liver and liver tumor segmentation tasks, leveraging the You Look Only Once network. The proposed Sim-Seg framework achieves a dice score of 89.54% for liver segmentation, while the BB-Seg framework attains a dice score of 80.55% for tumor segmentation on the Liver Tumor Segmentation Benchmark. In conclusion, this study effectively balances computational resources and accuracy, achieving results comparable to those of more compute-intensive methods. It aims to advance the development of YOLO-based frameworks in the medical field. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Machine Learning-Based Chronic Kidney Cancer Prediction Application: A Predictive Analytics Approach

Chronic Kidney Cancer (CKC) is a disease that hindrances the blood-filtering mechanism of the kidney and is increasing at an alarming rate in the recent few years. As CKC does not show any earlier symptoms, the earlier prediction will be very effective to elevate its effect. In this paper, a machine learning-based method for diagnosing CKC at an early stage is proposed. SVM, Decision Tree, Random Forest, KNN, Native Bayes, Logistic Regression, LGBM, CatBoost, and AdaBoost are employed for classification purposes, and among these algorithms, Random Forest, AdaBoost, and LGBM give 99% accuracy. Data pre-processing and feature selection help improve the accuracy of the proposed model. The outcome of the comparative analysis of our proposed work with eight existing approaches proves the robustness and supremacy of the work. Furthermore, the best model is also used to develop a user-friendly web application. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC 2023.
