Aspect-based sentiment classification (ASC) aims to judge the sentiment polarity conveyed by the given aspect term in a sentence. The sentiment polarity is not only determined by the local context but also related to the words far away from the given aspect term. Most recent efforts related to the attention-based models can not sufficiently distinguish which words they should pay more attention to in some cases. Meanwhile, graph-based models are coming into ASC to encode syntactic dependency tree information. But these models do not fully leverage syntactic dependency trees as they neglect to incorporate dependency relation tag information into representation learning effectively. In this paper, we address these problems by effectively modeling the local and global features. Firstly, we design a local encoder containing: a Gaussian mask layer and a covariance self-attention layer. The Gaussian mask layer tends to adjust the receptive field around aspect terms adaptively to deemphasize the effects of unrelated words and pay more attention to local information. The covariance self-attention layer can distinguish the attention weights of different words more obviously. Furthermore, we propose a dual-level graph attention network as a global encoder by fully employing dependency tag information to capture long-distance information effectively. In real-world scenarios, dynamic signed networks are ubiquitous where edges have positive and negative sign semantics and evolve over time. Encoding the dynamics and sign semantics of the network simultaneously is challenging. Moreover, over-smoothing is inevitably introduced by the learning of network dynamics. Targeting this gap, we propose Dynamic Signed Network Embedding (DynamiSE), which effectively integrates the balance theory and ordinary differential equation (ODE) into node representation learning to construct a deeper dynamic signed graph neural network and capture the complex sign semantics formed by the two types of edges.

Authorship verification is a crucial task in digital forensic investigations,where it is often necessary to determine whether a specific individual wrote a particular piece of *** Neural Networks(CNNs)have shown promise in solving this problem,but their performance highly depends on the choice of *** this paper,we explore the effectiveness of hyperparameter tuning in improving the performance of CNNs for authorship *** conduct experiments using a Hyper Tuned CNN model with three popular optimization algorithms:Adaptive Moment Estimation(ADAM),StochasticGradientDescent(SGD),andRoot Mean Squared Propagation(RMSPROP).The model is trained and tested on a dataset of text samples collected from various authors,and the performance is evaluated using accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 *** compare the performance of the three optimization algorithms and demonstrate the effectiveness of hyperparameter tuning in improving the accuracy of the CNN *** results show that the Hyper Tuned CNN model with ADAM Optimizer achieves the highest accuracy of up to 90%.Furthermore,we demonstrate that hyperparameter tuning can help achieve significant performance improvements,even using a relatively simple model architecture like *** findings suggest that the choice of the optimization algorithm is a crucial factor in the performance of CNNs for authorship verification and that hyperparameter tuning can be an effective way to optimize this ***,this paper demonstrates the effectiveness of hyperparameter tuning in improving the performance of CNNs for authorship verification in digital forensic *** findings have important implications for developing accurate and reliable authorship verification systems,which are crucial for various applications in digital forensics,such as identifying the author of anonymous threatening messages or detecting cases of plagiarism.

Facial expression recognition is the ability to interpret human feelings from facial features. Teachers can use it to visualize the state of emotion and estimate students' learning effects to take corresponding intervention strategies to improve teaching. The current technology has shortcomings such as network performance degradation and feature information loss, which cannot meet the needs of sentiment analysis of student feedback. Therefore, RFMNet, a novel network model based on deep learning theory, is proposed in this paper. Featuring higher extraction ability, it is conducive to accurately analysing students' expressions. First of all, this model introduces a relation-aware global attention (RGA) module to better integrate the more discriminative expression features in the image and achieve more refined sentiment analysis. Second, the Mish activation function and the focal loss function are employed. The Mish activation function is introduced to avoid disappearing feature information due to neuron deactivation when the ReLU gradient is 0. The model achieves an average recognition accuracy of 89.62%, as confirmed through a sequence of trials conducted on the public dataset FERPlus. The model helps achieve intelligent processing of teaching information and obtaining real-time feedback by detecting, extracting, and analysing the students' facial expressions. © 2023 IEEE.

Making time-series forecasting in a robust way is a difficult task only based on the observed data of a non-linear *** this work,a neural network computing framework,the spatiotemporal information conver-sion machine(STICM),was developed to efficiently and accurately render a forecasting of a time series by employing a spatial-temporal information(STI)*** combines the advantages of both the STI equation and the temporal convolutional network,which maps the high-dimensional/spatial data to the future temporal values of a target variable,thus naturally providing the forecasting of the target *** the observed variables,the STICM also infers the causal factors of the target variable in the sense of Granger causality,which are in turn selected as effective spatial information to improve the robustness of time-series *** STICM was successfully applied to both benchmark systems and real-world datasets,all of which show superior and robust performance in timeseries forecasting,even when the data were perturbed by *** both theoretical and computational viewpoints,the STICM has great potential in practical applications in artificial intelligence or as a model-free method based only on the observed data,and also opens a new way to explore the observed high-dimensional data in a dynamical manner for machine learning.

Using data-driven technologies to support healthcare has been largely celebrated as an effective means. Yet, most existing data-driven technologies are designed with the purposes of improving productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness etc., i.e. care administer-centric design. The needs and perceptions of caregiver, the actual users of most technologies, are largely ignored. In this paper, we examine the impacts of data-driven technologies from the perspective of caregivers. Through a questionnaire study with 191 caregivers in shanghai China, we quantify the impacts of data-driven technologies to caregivers' work and experiences. Our results show that while the embedded data-driven technologies provide significant benefits to caregivers' work, these benefits are often limited by the complex, situated and fragmented nature of healthcare. We analyze the results and propose our suggestions to the further design. © 2022 IEEE.

Photothermal catalysis exhibits promising prospects to overcome the shortcomings of high-energy consumption of traditional thermal catalysis and the low efficiency of photocatalysis. However, there is still a challenge to develop catalysts with outstanding light absorption capability and photothermal conversion efficiency for the degradation of atmospheric pollutants. Herein, we introduced the Co3O4 layer and Pt nanoclusters into the three-dimensional (3D) porous membrane through the atomic layer deposition (ALD) technique, leading to a Pt/Co3O4/AAO monolithic catalyst. The 3D ordered nanochannel structure can significantly enhance the solar absorption capacity through the light-trapping effect. Therefore, the embedded Pt/Co3O4 catalyst can be rapidly heated and the O2 adsorbed on the Pt clusters can be activated to generate sufficient O2- species, exhibiting outstanding activity for the diverse VOCs (toluene, acetone, and formaldehyde) degradation. Optical characterization and simulation calculation confirmed that Pt/Co3O4/AAO exhibited state-of-the-art light absorption and a notable localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect. In situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectrometry (in situ DRIFTS) studies demonstrated that light irradiation can accelerate the conversion of intermediates during toluene and acetone oxidation, thereby inhibiting byproduct accumulation. Our finding extends the application of AAO’s optical properties in photothermal catalytic degradation of air pollutants. © 2024 American Chemical Society.

Given the damping factor α and precision tolerance ϵ, Andersen et al. [2] introduced Approximate Personalized PageRank (APPR), the de facto local method for approximating the PPR vector, with runtime bounded by Θ(1/(αϵ)) independent of the graph size. Recently, Fountoulakis & Yang [12] asked whether faster local algorithms could be developed using Õ(1/(√αϵ)) operations. By noticing that APPR is a local variant of Gauss-Seidel, this paper explores the question of whether standard iterative solvers can be effectively localized. We propose to use the locally evolving set process, a novel framework to characterize the algorithm locality, and demonstrate that many standard solvers can be effectively localized. Let vol(St) and γt be the running average of volume and the residual ratio of active nodes St during the process. We show vol(St)/γt ≤ 1/ϵ and prove APPR admits a new runtime bound Õ(vol(St)/(αγt)) mirroring the actual performance. Furthermore, when the geometric mean of residual reduction is Θ(√α), then there exists c ∈ (0, 2) such that the local Chebyshev method has runtime Õ(vol(St)/(√α(2 − c))) without the monotonicity assumption. Numerical results confirm the efficiency of this novel framework and show up to a hundredfold speedup over corresponding standard solvers on real-world graphs. © 2024, CC BY.

As one of the most promising cathodes for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),the layered transition metal oxides have attracted great attentions due to their high specific capacities and facile ***,their applications are still hindered by the problems of poor moisture stability and sluggish Na^(+)diffusion caused by intrinsic structural Jahn–Teller ***,we demonstrate a new approach to settle the above issues through introducing K^(+)into the structures of Ni/Mn-based *** physicochemical characterizations reveal that K^(+)induces atomic surface reorganization to form the birnessite-type K_(2)Mn_(4)O_(8).Combining with the phosphate,the mixed coating layer protects the cathodes from moisture and hinders metal dissolution into the electrolyte ***,K^(+)substitution at Na site in the bulk structure can not only widen the lattice-spacing for favoring Na^(+)diffusion,but also work as the rivet to restrain the grain crack upon *** as achieved K^(+)-decorated P2-Na_(0.67)Mn_(0.75)Ni_(0.2)5O_(2)(NKMNO@KM/KP)cathodes are tested in both coin cell and pouch cell configurations using Na metal or hard carbon(HC)as ***,the NKMNO@KM/KP||Na half-cell demonstrates a high rate performance of 50 C and outstanding cycling performance of 90.1%capacity retention after 100 cycles at 5 ***,the NKMNO@KM/KP||HC fullcell performed a promising energy density of 213.9 Wh·kg^(−1).This performance significantly outperforms most reported state-ofthe-art ***,by adopting this strategy on O3-NaMn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)O_(2),we further proved the universality of this method on layered cathodes for SIBs.

Currently, protocol fuzzing techniques mainly employ two approaches: greybox fuzzing based on mutation and blackbox fuzzing based on generation. Greybox fuzzing techniques use message exchanges between the protocol server and actual clients as seeds, and generate test cases through mutation. Although this approach can provide coverage information of the SUT's code and state space through instrumentation and feedback, its drawback lies in the relatively random mutation strategy, which makes it challenging to validate the SUT's message verification process. This paper addresses this limitation by utilizing artificial intelligence techniques to extract protocol state machines. It aims to overcome the reliance on manual work in blackbox fuzzing based on generation and leverage its advantages to generate more effective fuzzing test cases. The study utilizes Prompt-Learning technology to analyze the semantic information in protocol RFC documents, obtain corresponding intermediate representations, and extract protocol state machines from these representations. Taking the BGP protocol as an experimental subject, the experimental results demonstrate a certain level of accuracy in the obtained protocol state machines and the ability to generate test cases from these state machines, thereby enhancing the automation level of protocol fuzzing.
