This article designs the PELAN structure based on the lightweight YOLOv7-tiny model for surface defect detection of hot-rolled steel strips. At the same time, the CA (Channel Attention) is embedded in the feature pyramid structure and the Slim-Neck structure is introduced at the neck. Through experimental result analysis, it is proved that the lightweight algorithm not only reduces model complexity, but also has better detection accuracy and processing speed. This article focuses on exploring the potential of lightweight YOLOv7-tiny models in steel surface defect detection. With the advancement of Industry 4.0, quickly and accurately detecting surface defects on steel strips has become crucial. However, traditional defect detection methods often face issues such as large computational requirements and poor real-time performance. Therefore, we have designed a novel PELAN structure that combines CA(Channel Attention)and Slim-Neck structure. Named Entity Recognition in Electronic Medical Records Incorporating Pre-trained and Multi-Head Attention

Chinese Named Entity Recognition (NER) for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a fundamental task in building a digital hospital and is widely considered to be a sequence annotation problem in the Natural Language Processing domain. (NLP). However, existing deep learning sequence annotation models cannot fully use the large amount of unannotated data for Chinese EMRs that contain a vast number of professional unregistered words, named entities, and inter-of-entity relationships carrying rich professional knowledge. Moreover, the syntactic structure of EMR sentences is complex, and the text is long;the features of the EMR documents often cannot be captured deeply. Aiming at these two problems, this paper proposes a deep learning method that combines Multi-Head Attention with a pre-trained language model. (BERT-BiGRU-Att-CRF). The method uses the BERT pre-trained model to obtain dynamic word vectors combined with contextual information, extracts global semantic features through a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (BiGRU), obtains augmented semantic features by using the Multi-Head Attention. Finally, using Conditional Random Field (CRF) decoding, outputs the globally optimal label sequence with greatest probability. The model is trained using the CCKS2019 Chinese EMR dataset containing six types of entities: anatomical sites, surgeries, diseases and diagnoses, medicines, laboratory tests, and imaging tests, and good results are achieved with an F1 score of 86.97%. © (2024) International Association of Engineers.

A Neural Network Slab Quality Prediction Analysis Based on a Hybrid Intelligent Optimisation Algorithm

To address the problem of inaccurate prediction of slab quality in continuous casting, an algorithm based on particle swarm optimisation and differential evolution is proposed. The algorithm combines BP neural network prediction method. Firstly, the factors affecting the quality of the slab are analysed and a sufficient number of sample sets are extracted for training;Secondly, the particle swarm optimisation algorithm is optimised, and then the BP neural network is optimised and the chaos mechanism is introduced to increase the continuity of motion of the particles. The population is partitioned hierarchically, and different types of particles are processed separately to improve the global search capability of the algorithm. The differential evolution algorithm is also integrated to optimise cross-selection and increase particle diversity. Finally, a prediction model is built to predict and analyse the sample data. In the experiment, three algorithms are tested for different benchmark functions, namely the comparison of convergence, stability and searchability. The optimisation time comparison is completed, the target curve fit test is performed and the slab quality test results are checked. The experimental results show that the PSO-EIDE algorithm has strong optimisation ability, fast convergence speed and obvious improvement in stability and accuracy. © (2025), (International Association of Engineers). A Lightweight Network with Dual Encoder and Cross Feature Fusion for Cement Pavement Crack Detection

Prior research in video object segmentation (VOS) predominantly relies on videos with dense annotations. However, obtaining pixel-level annotations is both costly and time-intensive. In this work, we highlight the potential of effectively training a VOS model using remarkably sparse video annotations - specifically, as few as one or two labeled frames per training video, yet maintaining near equivalent performance levels. We introduce this innovative training methodology as low-shot video object segmentation, abbreviated as low-shot VOS. Central to this method is the generation of reliable pseudo labels for unlabeled frames during the training phase, which are then used in tandem with labeled frames to optimize the model. Notably, our strategy is extremely simple and can be incorporated into the vast majority of current VOS models. For the first time, we propose a universal method for training VOS models on one-shot and two-shot VOS datasets. In the two-shot configuration, utilizing just 7.3% and 2.9% of labeled data from the YouTube-VOS and DAVIS benchmarks respectively, our model delivers results on par with those trained on completely labeled datasets. It is also worth noting that in the one-shot setting, a minor performance decrement is observed in comparison to models trained on fully annotated datasets. An Unbiased Fuzzy Weighted Relative Error Support Vector Machine for Reverse Prediction of Concrete Components

Concrete is a vital component in modern construction, prized for its strength, durability, and versatility. Accurately determining the quantities of concrete components is crucial in civil engineering applications to optimize resources (e.g., manpower and financial resources). In this article, we propose an unbiased fuzzy-weighted relative error support vector machine (UFW-RE-SVM) for reverse prediction of concrete components. First, we add an unbiased term to the target function of UFW-RE-SVM for obtaining an unbiased model. Second, we design a fuzzy-weighted operation to indicate sample importance by incorporating the fuzzy membership values into the UFW-RE-SVM. The nth root operation is introduced to address the exponential explosion issue in the fuzzy-weighted operation. Finally, considering the UFW-RE-SVM is sensitive to its hyperparameters for multioutput prediction, the whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is utilized for hyperparameter optimization for its effectiveness in optimization tasks. We design the fitness function based on the results from multiple components to balance the performance of multioutput predictions. Experimental results show that the performance of our proposed model outperforms existing works in predicting concrete components in terms of mean absolute relative error, standard deviation, and root mean square error. Further, the statistical test shows the WOA and two other metaheuristics can significantly improve the prediction performance. This indicates that the unbiased term, fuzzy-weighted operation, and WOA are effective for improving the proposed model for reverse prediction concrete components. With these promising results, the proposed model could provide decision-makers with a valuable tool for determining concrete component quantities based on desired concrete qualities. © 2020 IEEE.

Research on Network Traffic Classification Based on Graph Neural Network

Network traffic classification is a critical concern in network security and management, essential for accurately differentiating among various network applications, optimizing service quality, and improving user experience. The exponential increase in worldwide Internet users and network traffic is continuously augmenting the diversity and complexity of network applications, rendering the Internet environment increasingly intricate and dynamic. Conventional machine learning techniques possess restricted processing abilities for network traffic attributes and struggle to address the progressively intricate traffic classification tasks in contemporary networks. In recent years, the swift advancement of deep learning technologies, particularly Graph Neural Networks (GNN), has yielded significant improvements in network traffic classification. GNN can capture the structured information among network nodes and extract the latent features of network traffic. Nonetheless, current network traffic classification models continue to exhibit deficiencies in the thoroughness of feature extraction. To tackle the problem, this research proposes a method for constructing traffic graphs utilizing numerical similarity and byte distance proximity by exploring the latent correlations among bytes, and it constructs a model, SDA-GNN, based on Graph Isomorphic Networks (GIN) for the categorization of network traffic. In particular, the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) distance is employed to evaluate the disparity in byte distributions, a channel attention mechanism is utilized to extract additional features, and a Long Short-Term Memory Network (LSTM) enhances the stability of the training process by extracting sequence characteristics. Experimental findings on two actual datasets indicate that the SDA-GNN model surpasses other baseline techniques across multiple assessment parameters in the network traffic classification task, achieving classification accuracy enhancements of 2.19% and 1.49%
