There is a growing interest in sustainable ecosystem development, which includes methods such as scientific modeling, environmental assessment, and development forecasting and planning. However, due to insufficient survey data in many current development areas, development progress is delayed and stagnant. To address this situation, this paper proposes a SWOT-TOPSIS-K-Means (STK) data analysis and evaluation model to analyze ecological factors, which can realize a comprehensive and complete data analysis with fewer samples. Decision tree (DT), random forest (RF), and multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network models were constructed from the results of this analysis, and statistical tests such as r-squared, mean absolute error, and cross-validation are used to further confirm the performance efficiency of the computational prediction models to provide real-time prediction research solutions. For this purpose, data from research scholars on species introduction in ecosystem development were selected for testing. The results show that the proposed assessment model and modeling results satisfy all accuracy-related acceptance requirements. Among them, MLP is better than DT and RF. In summary, the STK assessment model and the MLP prediction model can provide a basis for the selection and development of ecological factors. © (2025), (International Association of Engineers). A Cover-Independent Deep Image Hiding Method Based on Domain Attention Mechanism

Recently,deep image-hiding techniques have attracted considerable attention in covert communication and high-capacity information ***,these approaches have some *** example,a cover image lacks self-adaptability,information leakage,or weak *** address these issues,this study proposes a universal and adaptable image-hiding ***,a domain attention mechanism is designed by combining the Atrous convolution,which makes better use of the relationship between the secret image domain and the cover image ***,to improve perceived human similarity,perceptual loss is incorporated into the training *** experimental results are promising,with the proposed method achieving an average pixel discrepancy(APD)of 1.83 and a peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)value of 40.72 dB between the cover and stego images,indicative of its high-quality ***,the structural similarity index measure(SSIM)reaches 0.985 while the learned perceptual image patch similarity(LPIPS)remarkably registers at ***,self-testing and cross-experiments demonstrate the model’s adaptability and generalization in unknown hidden spaces,making it suitable for diverse computer vision tasks.

QAAS:quick accurate auto-scaling for streaming processing

In recent years,the demand for real-time data processing has been increasing,and various stream processing systems have *** the amount of data input to the stream processing system fluctuates,the computing resources required by the stream processing job will also *** resources used by stream processing jobs need to be adjusted according to load changes,avoiding the waste of computing *** present,existing works adjust stream processing jobs based on the assumption that there is a linear relationship between the operator parallelism and operator resource consumption(e.g.,throughput),which makes a significant deviation when the operator parallelism *** paper proposes a nonlinear model to represent operator *** divide the operator performance into three stages,the Non-competition stage,the Non-full competition stage,and the Full competition *** our proposed performance model,given the parallelism of the operator,we can accurately predict the CPU utilization and operator *** with actual experiments,the prediction error of our model is below 5%.We also propose a quick accurate auto-scaling(QAAS)method that uses the operator performance model to implement the auto-scaling of the operator parallelism of the Flink *** to previous work,QAAS is able to maintain stable job performance under load changes,minimizing the number of job adjustments and reducing data backlogs by 50%.

A Fast Algorithm for Computing the Deficiency Number of a Mahjong Hand

The tile-based multiplayer game Mahjong is widely played in Asia and has also become increasingly popular worldwide. Face-to-face or online, each player begins with a hand of 13 tiles and players draw and discard tiles in turn until they complete a winning hand. An important notion in Mahjong is the deficiency number(*** number in Japanese Mahjong) of a hand, which estimates how many tile changes are necessary to complete the hand into a winning hand. The deficiency number plays an essential role in major decision-making tasks such as selecting a tile to discard. This paper proposes a fast algorithm for computing the deficiency number of a Mahjong hand. Compared with the baseline algorithm, the new algorithm is usually 100 times faster and, more importantly,respects the agent's knowledge about available tiles. The algorithm can be used as a basic procedure in all Mahjong variants by both rule-based and machine learning-based Mahjong AI.

A Review of Intelligent Configuration and Its Security for Complex Networks

Complex networks are becoming more complex because of the use of many components with diverse technologies. In fact, manual configuration that makes each component interoperable has breed latent danger to system security. There is still no comprehensive review of these studies and prospects for further research. According to the complexity of component configuration and difficulty of security assurance in typical complex networks, this paper systematically reviews the abstract models and formal analysis methods required for intelligent configuration of complex networks, specifically analyzes, and compares the current key technologies such as configuration semantic awareness, automatic generation of security configuration, dynamic deployment, and verification evaluation. These technologies can effectively improve the security of complex networks intelligent configuration and reduce the complexity of operation and maintenance. This paper also summarizes the mainstream construction methods of complex networks configuration and its security test environment and detection index system, which lays a theoretical foundation for the formation of the comprehensive effectiveness verification capability of configuration security. The whole lifecycle management system of configuration security process proposed in this paper provides an important technical reference for reducing the complexity of network operation and maintenance and improving network security.

We theoretically investigate chaotic dynamics in an optomechanical system composed of a whispering-gallery-mode(WGM)microresonator and a *** find that tuning the optical phase using a phase shifter and modifying the coupling strength via a unidirectional waveguide(IWG)can induce chaotic *** underlying reason for this phenomenon is that adjusting the phase and coupling strength via the phase shifter and IWG bring the system close to an exceptional point(EP),where field localization dynamically enhances the optomechanical nonlinearity,leading to the generation of chaotic *** addition,due to the sensitivity of chaos to phase in the vicinity of the EP,we propose a theoretical scheme to measure the optical phase perturbations using *** work may offer an alternative approach to chaos generation with current experimental technology and provide theoretical guidance for optical signal processing and chaotic secure communication.

A Lightweight Object Detection Algorithm for Remote Sensing Images

With the continuous advancement of satellite technology, remote sensing images has been increasingly applied in fields such as urban planning, environmental monitoring, and disaster response. However, remote sensing images often feature small target sizes and complex backgrounds, posing significant computational challenges for object detection tasks. To address this issue, this paper proposes a lightweight remote sensing images object detection algorithm based on YOLOv9. The proposed algorithm incorporates the SimRMB module, which effectively reduces computational complexity while improving the efficiency and accuracy of feature extraction. Through a dynamic attention mechanism, SimRMB is capable of focusing on important regions while minimizing background interference, and by integrating residual learning and skip connections, it ensures the stability of deep networks. To further enhance detection performance, the FasterRepNCSPELAN4 module is introduced, which employs PConv operations to reduce computational load and memory usage. It also utilizes dilated convolutions and DFC attention mechanisms to strengthen feature extraction, thereby increasing the efficiency and accuracy of object detection. Additionally, this study integrates the GhostModuleV2 module, which generates core feature maps and employs lightweight operations to create redundant features, greatly reducing the computational complexity of *** results show that on the SIMD dataset, the improved YOLOv9 model has a parameter size of 167.88 MB and GFLOPs of 208.6. Compared to the baseline YOLOv9 model (parameter size: 194.57 MB, GFLOPs: 239.0), the parameter size is reduced by 13.71%, GFLOPs are reduced by 12.72%, and detection accuracy is improved by 1.4%. The detection of road defects is crucial for ensuring vehicular safety and facilitating the prompt repair of roadway imperfections. Existing YOLOv8-based models face the following issues: extraction capabilities and insufficient feature representation in complex scenarios, slow bounding box regression speed. To address these challenges, we propose the YOLOv8-DSW model. Firstly, we incorporate the Dilation-wise Residual (DWR) module into the C2f module in the neck, improving the detection performance of multi-scale feature maps. Secondly, We incorporate the SENetv2 attention mechanism into the neck of the YOLOv8 model to augment feature expression capabilities. Finally, we introduce Wise-IoU (WIoU) to enhance the speed of bounding box regression. Experimental results indicate that YOLOv8-DSW enhances the mean Average Precision at 50% (mAP50) by 2.5% in comparison to the YOLOv8n, significantly improving detection accuracy and provide valuable method for the development of road defect detection. © (2025.0), (International Association of Engineers). A survey on cross-user federated recommendation

Recommender systems are effective in mitigating information overload, yet the centralized storage of user data raises significant privacy concerns. Cross-user federated recommendation(CUFR) provides a promising distributed paradigm to address these concerns by enabling privacy-preserving recommendations directly on user devices. In this survey, we review and categorize current progress in CUFR, focusing on four key aspects: privacy, security, accuracy, and efficiency. Firstly,we conduct an in-depth privacy analysis, discuss various cases of privacy leakage, and then review recent methods for privacy protection. Secondly, we analyze security concerns and review recent methods for untargeted and targeted *** untargeted attack methods, we categorize them into data poisoning attack methods and parameter poisoning attack methods. For targeted attack methods, we categorize them into user-based methods and item-based methods. Thirdly,we provide an overview of the federated variants of some representative methods, and then review the recent methods for improving accuracy from two categories: data heterogeneity and high-order information. Fourthly, we review recent methods for improving training efficiency from two categories: client sampling and model compression. Finally, we conclude this survey and explore some potential future research topics in CUFR.

Multi-scale persistent spatiotemporal transformer for long-term urban traffic flow prediction
