Modern SSDs achieve low latency and high throughput by utilizing multiple levels of SSD parallelism. Fairness is also a critical design consideration in cloud environments and has inspired great interest in recent years to study it. However, we find that excessive striving for SSD parallelism can inadvertently harm the SSD fairness due to the striped data layout. We observe from our experimental analysis that some common access patterns in cloud loads (e.g., high-intensity I/O) are not addressed by SSD parallelism, which can affect both SSD parallelism and fairness. In this paper, we analyze two address mapping policies with orthogonal characteristics from SSD parallelism and fairness perspectives. Based on extensive experiments and observations, we schedule a hybrid address mapping policy to achieve fairness of SSDs in cloud environments by distinguishing different I/O access modes and cold/hot data, while ensuring SSD performance. Experimental results on the latest block-level I/O traces show that our approach significantly improves performance and fairness by up to 77.3% and 62.8%, respectively, over the previous schemes with negligible cost. Meanwhile, it can also reduce the write amplification by 23.5% to 33.5%. © 2024 IEEE.

Temporal sentence grounding (TSG) aims to localize the temporal segment which is semantically aligned with a natural language query in an untrimmed video. Most existing methods extract frame-grained features or object-grained features by 3D ConvNet or detection network under a conventional TSG framework, failing to capture the subtle differences between frames or to model the spatio-temporal behavior of core persons/objects. In this paper, we introduce a new perspective to address the TSG task by tracking pivotal objects and activities to learn more fine-grained spatio-temporal behaviors. Specifically, we propose a novel Temporal Sentence Tracking Network (TSTNet), which contains (A) a Cross-modal Targets Generator to generate multi-modal templates and search space, filtering objects and activities, and (B) a Temporal Sentence Tracker to track multi-modal targets for modeling the targets' behavior and to predict query-related segment. Extensive experiments and comparisons with state-of-the-arts are conducted on challenging benchmarks: Charades-STA and TACoS. And our TSTNet achieves the leading performance with a considerable real-time speed. © 2023 IEEE.

Collection of sensor nodes and base station called as Wireless Sensor Networks. While, communicating with other nodes within network this type of network uses huge amount of energy. And, node has limited life time due to battery power. For efficiently utilizing these nodes energy and power, clustering was considered as a best approach. In proposed paper, we work on heterogeneous node, in such environment nodes are differ by their energy level, power, computation, communication etc. The protocol proposed for Energy Efficient Hybrid Routing in different energy levels using fuzzy logic provides three different network for three different initial energy level of nodes such that. 3J,. 4J and. 5J under same area (500∗500) m2 in which super node region uses multipath routing and clustering approach uses for transmitting packet/ data to base station and normal type nodes will uses single path routing transmitting packet/ data to Base station. The proposed protocol discussed different energy levels for finding best initial energy value of node in network and improved throughput, stability, lifetime of network on. 4J energy level as compare to. 3J and. 5J. To optimize the cluster formation we used predetermined technique i.e. inverted binary tree. This technique helps in balancing the load of super nodes region. The proposed model simulated in MATLAB, result shows better performance at 0.4J initial energy. © 2023 IEEE.

In various applications in Internet of Things like industrial monitoring, large amounts of floating-point time series data are generated at an unprecedented rate. Efficient compression algorithms can effectively reduce the size of data, enhance transmission performance and storage efficiency, and simultaneously lower storage costs. Therefore, there is a need for lightweight and efficient stream compression algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel lossless floating-point data compression algorithm called Ant. The main idea is to encode double-precision floating-point numbers into integer form, calculate the delta between adjacent values, and then convert the delta into unsigned integers. This encoding method effectively reduces storage costs and improves data compression efficiency. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that our algorithm achieves compression speeds at least as fast as state-of-the-art streaming methods, and a 63% relative improvement in average compression rate. © 2023 IEEE.

Hair editing is a critical image synthesis task that aims to edit hair color and hairstyle using text descriptions or reference images, while preserving irrelevant attributes (e.g., identity, background, cloth). Many existing methods are based on StyleGAN to address this task. However, due to the limited spatial distribution of StyleGAN, it struggles with multiple hair color editing and facial preservation. Considering the advancements in diffusion models, we utilize Latent Diffusion Models (LDMs) for hairstyle editing. Our approach introduces Multi-stage Hairstyle Blend (MHB), effectively separating control of hair color and hairstyle in diffusion latent space. Additionally, we train a warping module to align the hair color with the target region. To further enhance multi-color hairstyle editing, we fine-tuned a CLIP model using a multi-color hairstyle dataset. Our method not only tackles the complexity of multi-color hairstyles but also addresses the challenge of preserving original colors during diffusion editing. Extensive experiments showcase the superiority of our method in editing multi-color hairstyles while preserving facial attributes given textual descriptions and reference images. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Traffic sign recognition has long been an essential part of automatic driving. Accurate traffic sign recognition algorithms are conducive to the development of automatic driving. However, traffic signs in natural scenes are often small targets, which contain less feature information and are difficult to detect and recognize. Aiming at the problem of low recognition accuracy of small targets in traffic sign recognition, a traffic sign recognition algorithm based on a Bi-Level Routing Attention is proposed. It utilizes a single-stage detector YOLOv5 as the basic network, with a double-layer routing attention mechanism introduced, realizing more flexible computing allocation and content awareness through double-layer routing, which could capture long-range data without incurring an increasing computational overhead and memory usage. Furthermore, our approach achieves noteworthy recognition accuracy by extracting fine-grained information of small targets. In particular, the experiment shows the appealing results on the TT100K dataset, which detection accuracy map of reaches 92.9%, and the frame processing rate is 119.8FPS. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to solve the problem of track slab crack detection under few samples' conditions, this paper proposes a track slab crack detection algorithm with few samples based on deep learning. Firstly, after extracting multi-scale query and support features through the Swin Transformer backbone, the similarity between query pixels and support pixels is computed according to the scaled dot-product attention of the Transformer architecture, and the query masks are aggregated;in order to filter a large amount of irrelevant background information in the crack image, multi-scale prototypes are computed by using prototypical learning, highlighting the class information of the cracks, and introducing a lightweight attention module to generate class-representative attention feature maps using support features at different scales, which guides the network to focus its attention on the target region;finally, the final prediction of cracks is realized by the feature fusion module. The experimental results show that the track slab crack IoU reaches 66.94% and the FB-IoU reaches 83.02% under the few samples' condition and exhibits strong generalization performance on the crack set of other scenarios as well. © 2023 IEEE.
