In this digital era, users frequently share their thoughts, preferences, and ideas through social media, which reflect their Basic Human Values. Basic Human Values (aka values) are the fundamental aspects of human behavior, which define what we consider important, and worth having and pursue them. Existing studies identify the values of individuals from different social network usages such as Facebook and Reddit. However, discovering the similarity (or diversity) of value priorities among the members in a group is important since we can reveal many interesting insights such as finding a set of target customers, identifying the chain of misdeed groups, searching for similar acquaintances in workplaces, etc. In this paper, a graph dataset is compiled using the strongest correlation among the features and then we apply a graph clustering technique to identify a suitable hedonist group (i.e., one dimension of values) for users’ recommendations. Then, we also propose a behavior based (i.e., value) group recommendation technique by analyzing users’ contextual and psychological attributes. Finally, we validate those group members in real life by introducing two hypotheses. In particular, we analyze the tweets of a total of 1140 users collected from Twitter. We obtain a substantial intra-cluster correlation coefficient (ICC) and silhouette clustering coefficient (SCC) scores of 65% and 76%, respectively, among the members in our discovered group. © The Author(s) 2024.

Introduction: Remote data exchange operations in healthcare are observed, consult-ed, monitored and treated by the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). It is an extension of the Internet of Things (IoT). Method: At the growing stage of IoT, IoMT is speedily drawing researchers’ interest due to its extensive use in healthcare systems. Smaller and lower-priced wireless devices with various communication protocols have led to the formation of IoMT. Healthcare data is exchanged through wireless communication with IoMT. The margining of IoMT and healthcare can yield multiple benefits in terms of: better quality of life, care services and developing solution/s at low cost. In this article, a systematic literature review has been conducted on IoMT. Results: Authors have thoroughly investigated the different versions of healthcare 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 as proposed by the healthcare industry. Furthermore, the taxonomy of IoMT has been designed and compared with existing surveys. Conclusion: This survey is unique and stands different from the point of view of existing sur-veys. It supports the future of IoMT researchers to bring new insight to their researches. © 2024 Bentham science Publishers.

Cardinality estimation for property graph queries with gated learning approach on the graph database

With the increasing complexity of graph query processing tasks, it is difficult for users to obtain the accurate cardinality before or during the execution of query tasks. Accurate estimate query cardinality is crucial for property graph data model, which usually involves entities, multiple joins, and various types of properties (key-value pairs). While learning-based approaches have been used in query optimization, estimating the cardinality of property graph queries is still particularly challenging. In this paper, we first formally represent each property graph query and then divide the estimation process into three phases: query execution, training data generation, and model training. Secondly, we construct a data pool to deal the updating query workloads in the training data generation phase. Thirdly, we utilize the gate mechanism to develop a cardinality estimation framework based on deep learning neural networks for property graph queries in the Neo4j database, and we propose a hybrid loss function to optimize the training process. Finally, we adopt a method of pre-aggregating the underlying data to speed up query execution in the first phase. The result of the experiment on two real-world datasets shows that our optimized methods can effectively improve the estimation accuracy of the deep learning model, and our query estimator outperforms other deep learning models compared in terms of estimation accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Smart cities and the IoT: an in-depth analysis of global research trends and future directions

Extensive scientific investigation is necessary because every government wants to construct smart cities. This is why examining how researchers approach this area of study is critical. This study investigates global research trends in smart cities and the Internet of Things (IoT) by analyzing 14,309 articles from the Scopus database (2010–2024). Using text mining and latent semantic analysis (LSA) via the KNIME tool, the research identifies key areas and trends in smart city development. The k-means clustering algorithm predicts future research directions, highlighting the most active countries, influential authors, and significant sources in the field. The results underscore the need for additional research in sectors where IoT applications for smart cities are still in their early stages. This analysis also offers insights into fostering international collaborations among institutions and researchers. The findings suggest that future research should focus on developing secure, scalable solutions to address challenges across various industries. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive overview of smart city research, offering valuable guidance for researchers and policymakers aiming to advance the integration of IoT technologies into urban environments. © The Author(s) 2024.

Cricket is the game that binds Bangladeshis to-gether. The datasets were split into different parts based on the time of the cricket matches to experiment with the results. We have used Random Forest Regression and Linear Regression to experiment with the results. We have worked on different sets of independent variables while working with different datasets but runs and wickets were constant features. The linear Regression technique gave 0.58 of r-squared metric and its MAE: 32.857046003557706, MSE: 1793.4360657965133, RMSE: 42.34897951304746 values indicate that the regression model is making predictions that are reasonably close to the actual ob-served values. However, there is still some room for improvement. The r-squared metric of 0.787 was derived from a relatively brief dataset, MAE: 20.48880467759807, MSE: 690.1167559064677, RMSE: 26.270073389818837 metrics indicate that the regression model is making predictions that are very close to the actual observed values. Random Forest Regression's r-squared metric resulted in 0.807 but the learning curve pointed out an overfit model. Thus, linear regression contained the best result. We have applied the regularisation technique to achieve a better result. The dataset was collected from Github and Kaggle, sizes are (350899, 15) and (4037, 9) respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

With the advent of the information age, data storage has not only developed from paper information systems to electronic information system storage, but has also extended to cloud database storage methods. To date, we can see the application of big data and cloud in various fields and levels, making induction, arrangement, transmission, and exchange of data easier and faster. The electronic and systematisation of patient medical records in the medical environment is an example. The use of electronic medical records can help improve the quality of medical care, reduce duplication of treatment, and reduce the waste of examination resources. It has many advantages, but also many risks. Medical institutions may abuse electronic medical data without the consent of patients, leading to the leakage of patient privacy data and causing serious social impact. Therefore, this study proposes a medical record exchange and sharing mechanism based on the Hyperledger blockchain architecture combined with proxy reencryption. When pharmacists need to obtain medical records for related research, patients can decide whether to share medical records, and hospitals can also revoke pharmacist access rights at any time to achieve more private, secure, and convenient sharing of medical records. The proposed scheme meets various blockchain security requirements and the BAN (Burrows–Abadi–Needham) logic proof model (Burrows–Abadi–Needham) is applied to assess the correctness of the proposed scheme. The advent of autonomous vehicles has revolutionized the automotive industry, offering promising advancements in safety, efficiency, and mobility. To integrate these autonomous vehicles into our society seamlessly, it is imperative to establish a robust licensing system that ensures the safe operation of automated vehicles on public roads. This article presents an effective smart Driving Licensing system (SDLS), a digital framework designed to regulate the existing licensing system and authorize licensing for autonomous vehicles. Through a comprehensive assessment process, the system assesses the drivers and the autonomous vehicle’s ability to navigate various road conditions, respond to dynamic environments, and prioritize safety for passengers and other road users. SDLS integrates high-level security through facial and fingerprint verification for identity verification to preserve licensing data. Hacking and unauthorized access to autonomous vehicles is prevented by robust cybersecurity protocols. The key benefits of SDLS include automated data collection, integration of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and Internet of Things (IoT), smart application processing, real-time license checks, cybersecurity measures, automated testing, and digital certification. The proposed system offers a comprehensive approach to safely integrating autonomous vehicles into our transportation ecosystem. The autonomous vehicles are integrated with antennas at rooftops or into bumpers, depending upon the vehicle design which can be connected with the SDLS for signal communication. Furthermore, the SDLS establishes a framework for continuous monitoring and updates, enabling ongoing assessments to keep pace with evolving technology and safety standards. © 2024 by Begell House, Inc.

Recently, a vast amount of text data has increased rapidly and therefore information must be summarised to retrieve useful knowledge. First, the preprocessing module utilises the fixed-length stemming method, and then the segmentation module makes use of a pre-trained bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT). The text of input is segmented with the utilisation of feedforward and multi-head attention layer. This BERT segmentation paradigm is adjoined alongside shark smell optimisation (SSO) methodology, and thus, the phrases that are extricated are employed to prepare the document stage of a dataset of Amazon merchandise assessment. This study aspires to create a concise summary and invigorating headlines, which grab the focus of the readers. This paper demonstrates that it performs by amalgamating the duo extractive and abstractive procedures employing a pipelined technique for creating a succinct summary that is later utilised for headline creation.
