This paper comprehensively introduces a new magnesium production technology the compound-vertical-retort technology, involving in the related fundamental researches, core equipment development, working flow, and technical characteristics. Scale-up test and an annual1200-ton-magnesium demonstration-level test was conducted to confirm the rationality, reliability, and advancement of the equipment, system and process design. It is indicated that the new technology solved a series of problems of traditional silicothermic process including adhesion and glaze, short life of retort, low efficiency, high impurity of crystallized magnesium, large heat losses, and poor working environment,making a great technological breakthrough in this field. Representatively, the new well-designed ceramic-lined steel retort serves 2~3 times in life than the normal retorts. The magnesium yield per retort is improved 4~5 times, with purity of >99.8%. The energy consumption in reduction stage is reduced by more than 20%. The mechanical production is fully realized and operating environment is significantly improved.

Rule-based portfolio construction strategies are rising as investmentdemand grows, and smart beta strategies are becoming a trend amonginstitutional investors. Smart beta strategies have high transparency, lowmanagement costs, and better long-term performance, but are at the risk ofsevere short-term declines due to a lack of Risk Control tools. Although thereare some methods to use historical volatility for Risk Control, it is still difficultto adapt to the rapid switch of market styles. How to strengthen the RiskControl management of the portfolio while maintaining the original advantagesof smart beta has become a new issue of concern in the industry. Thispaper demonstrates the scientific validity of using a probability prediction forposition optimization through an optimization theory and proposes a novelnatural gradient boosting (NGBoost)-based portfolio optimization method,which predicts stock prices and their probability distributions based on non-Bayesian methods and maximizes the Sharpe ratio expectation of positionoptimization. This paper validates the effectiveness and practicality of themodel by using the Chinese stock market, and the experimental results showthat the proposed method in this paper can reduce the volatility by 0.08 andincrease the expected portfolio cumulative return (reaching a maximum of67.1%) compared with the mainstream methods in the industry.

Neutral beam injection(NBI)has been proven as a reliable heating and current drive method for fusion *** the high-energy NBI system(particle energy>150 ke V)of large-scale fusion devices,the negative ion source neutral beam injection(NNBI)system is inevitable,which can obtain an acceptable neutralization efficiency(>55%).But the NNBI system is very complex and *** explore and master the key NNBI technology for future fusion reactor in china,an NNBI test facility is under development in the framework of the Comprehensive Research Facility for Fusion technology(CRAFT).The initial goal of CRAFT NNBI facility is to achieve a 2 MW hydrogen neutral beam at the energy of 200–400 ke V for lasting 100 *** the first operation of the CRAFT NNBI facility,a negative ion source with dual RF drivers was developed and *** using the 50 keV accelerator,the long-pulse and highcurrent extractions of negative hydrogen ions have been achieved and the typical values were 55.4 keV,7.3 A(~123 A/m^(2)),105 s and 55.0 keV,14.7 A(~248 A/m^(2)),30 s,*** using the 200 keV accelerator,the megawatt-class negative hydrogen beam has also been achieved(135.9 keV,8.9 A,8 s).The whole process of the gas neutralization of negative ion beam,electric removal of residual ions,and beam transport have been demonstrated experimentally.
