Discovery of loose data linkages between data services can help on-demand Web data integration in accordance with situation changes. However, we met the uncertainty challenge when discovering such data linkages with current automatic matchers. To handle the uncertainty problem, this paper develops a synthesized matching algorithm to combine the matching results from multiple automatic matchers with user feedbacks. It also proposes a service hyperlink model to encapsulate such data linkages for further reuse. Experiments show our approach can effectively improve the correctness of discovered data linkages. © 2015 SERSC.

Recommendation algorithm is a kind of method in information filtering and has been widely applied on Internet. Collaborative filtering is widely used in the recommendation systems and has turned out to be successful. With the growth of the resources, it is difficult for users to find learning resources that suit for themselves. The recommendation algorithm is required to analyze the behavior of the users and then recommend object of learning. Online judge is a kind of the online learning. People can evaluate their programming ability through online judge. The performance of the different recommendation algorithms is analyzed in this paper and it is proposed that the item-based collaborative filtering recommendation algorithms should be applied into the online learning system. Based on the algorithm, we propose that by pre-processing the data and using user data that have solve large number of problems, we can get a better recommendation result. © 2015 SERSC.

Alternative systems ranging from self-organized skill sharing to alternative micro-economies have been critical channels of community engagement and bonding. technology is increasingly playing a role in the way people connect to these services at the (hyper)local level. While there has been considerable research on designing technology to support conventional, established systems of community organization and governance;mobile and ubiquitous technologies offer strong potential for alternative systems to be established in the local level. Do It Yourself (DIY) and maker movements are enabling grassroots activist groups to develop their own technologies or to hack existing tools to support bottom-up systems of self-organization, democracy and commerce. Based on these trends and the recent worldwide economic, political and societal crisis, this workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners and activists to re-envision how HCI tools can support alternative systems of local civic engagement.

Cloud computing has greatly facilitated large-scale data outsourcing due to its cost efficiency, scalability and many other advantages. Subsequent privacy risks force data owners to encrypt sensitive data, hence making the outsourced data no longer searchable. Searchable Symmetric Encryption (SSE) is an advanced cryptographic primitive addressing the above issue, which maintains efficient keyword search over encrypted data without disclosing much information to the storage provider. Existing SSE schemes implicitly assume that original user data is centralized, so that a searchable index can be built at once. Nevertheless, especially in cloud computing applications, user-side data centralization is not reasonable, e.g. an enterprise distributes its data in several data centers. In this paper, we propose the notion of Multi-Data-Source SSE (MDS-SSE), which allows each data source to build a local index individually and enables the storage provider to merge all local indexes into a global index afterwards. We propose a novel MDS-SSE scheme, in which an adversary only learns the number of data sources, the number of entire data files, the access pattern and the search pattern, but not any other distribution information such as how data files or search results are distributed over data sources. We offer rigorous security proof of our scheme, and report experimental results to demonstrate the efficiency of our scheme.

We construct an amplifier that interpolates between a nondeterministic, immaculate linear amplifier and a deterministic, ideal linear amplifier and beyond to nonideal linear amplifiers. The construction involves cascading an immaculate linear amplifier that has amplitude gain g1 with a (possibly) nonideal linear amplifier that has gain g2. With respect to normally ordered moments, the device has output noise μ2(G2−1) where G=g1g2 is the overall amplitude gain and μ2 is a noise parameter. When μ2≥1, our devices realize ideal (μ2=1) and nonideal (μ2>1) linear amplifiers. When 0≤μ2<1, these devices work effectively only over a restricted region of phase space and with some subunity success probability p✓. We investigate the performance of our μ2 amplifiers in terms of a gain-corrected probability-fidelity product and the ratio of input to output signal-to-noise ratios corrected for success probability.

Ovarian cancer (OVC) is one of the deadliest cancers in women. At present, effective clinical therapy for OVC is still limited. We adopted a computational method to identify OVC candidate genes based on subnetwork extraction algorithm in the protein interaction network. Of the final identified five genes, MSH3 and PIK3R3 genes have been reported to be implicated in OVC tumorigenesis, indicating that the method is effective, whereas the other three genes (MAPK8IP1, PICK1, and IQGAP3) might have potential roles in OVC development. The results provided a novel insight into identifying the OVC-related genes and exploring new methods for OVC therapy. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.

This Letter presents a search for new resonances with mass larger than 250 GeV, decaying to a Z boson and a photon. The dataset consists of an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb⁻¹ of pp collisions collected at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The Z bosons are identified through their decays either to charged, light, lepton pairs (e⁺e⁻, μ⁺μ⁻) or to hadrons. The data are found to be consistent with the expected background in the whole mass range investigated and upper limits are set on the production cross section times decay branching ratio to Zγ of a narrow scalar boson with mass between 250 GeV and 2.75 TeV. © 2016 The Author(s)

The Ursid meteor shower is an annual shower that usually shows little activity. However, its Zenith Hourly Rate sometimes increases, usually either when its parent comet, 8P/Tuttle, is close to its perihelion or its aphelion. Outbursts when the comet is away from perihelion are not common and outburst when the comet is close to aphelion are extremely rare. The most likely explanation offered to date is based on the orbital mean motion resonances. The study of the aphelion outburst of December 2000 provided a means of testing that hypothesis. A new aphelion outburst was predicted for December 2014. The Spanish Meteor Network in collaboration with the French Fireball Recovery and InterPlanetary Observation Network set up a campaign to monitor this outburst and eventually retrieve orbital data that expands and confirms previous preliminary results and predictions. Despite unfavourable weather conditions over the South of Europe over the relevant time period precise trajectories from multi-station meteor data recorded over Spain were obtained, as well as orbital and radiant information for four Ursid meteors. The membership of these four meteors to the expected dust trails that were to provoke the outburst is discussed, and we characterize the origin of the outburst in the dust trail produced by the comet in the year 1392 A.D. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues are becoming crucial for three-dimensional integrated components which combine multi-core Systems-On-Chip, multi-band radio frequency circuits (RF), Giga-bit memories, as well as advanced analog circuits. In this first paper, the technology roadmap towards 3D-ICs is illustrated and the associated EMC challenges are described. This first paper also focuses on the role of interposers, associated electrical parasitics, and addresses concerns about signal and power integrity.

Emotion recognition from speech plays an important role in developing affective and intelligent Human computer Interaction. The goal of this work is to build an Automatic Emotion Variation Detection(AEVD) system to determine each emotional salient segment in continuous speech. We focus on emotion detection in angry-neutral speech, which is common in recent studies of AEVD. This work proposes a novel frame-work for AEVD using Multi-scaled Sliding Window(MSW-AEVD) to assign an emotion class to each window-shift by fusion decisions of all the sliding windows containing the shift. Firstly, sliding window with fixed-length is introduced as the basic procedure, in which several different fusion methods are investigated. Then multi-scaled sliding window is employed to support multi-classifiers with different timescale features, in which another two fusion strategies are provided. Finally, a post-processing is applied to refine the final outputs. Performance evaluation is carried out on the public Berlin database EMO-DB. Our experimental results show that proposed MSW-AEVD significantly outperforms the traditional HMM-based AEVD.
