Differential Privacy(DP)stands as a secure and efficient mechanism for privacy preservation,offering enhanced data utility without compromising computational *** adaptability is evidenced by its integration into blockchain-based Internet of Things(IoT)contexts,including smart wearables,smart homes,***,a notable vulnerability surfaces in decentralized environments where existing DP mechanisms falter in withstanding collusion *** vulnerability stems from the absence of an efficient strategy to synchronize the privacy budget consumption and historical query information among all network *** can exploit this weakness,collaborating to inject a substantial volume of queries simultaneously into disparate blockchain nodes to extract more precise *** address this issue,we propose a novel dual response DP mechanism to preserve privacy in blockchain-based IoT *** encompasses both direct and indirect response strategies,enabling an adaptive response to external queries,aiming to provide better data utility while preserving ***,this mechanism can synchronize historical query information and privacy budget consumption within the blockchain network to prevent privacy *** employ Relative Error(RE),Mean Square Error(MSE),and privacy budget consumption as evaluation metrics to measure the performance of the proposed *** outcomes substantiate that the proposed mechanism can adapt to blockchain networks well,affirming its capacity for privacy and great utility.

Using sarcasm on social media platforms to express negative opinions towards a person or object has become increasingly ***,detecting sarcasm in various forms of communication can be difficult due to conflicting *** this paper,we introduce a contrasting sentiment-based model for multimodal sarcasm detection(CS4MSD),which identifies inconsistent emotions by leveraging the CLIP knowledge module to produce sentiment features in both text and ***,five external sentiments are introduced to prompt the model learning sentimental preferences among ***,we highlight the importance of verbal descriptions embedded in illustrations and incorporate additional knowledge-sharing modules to fuse such imagelike *** results demonstrate that our model achieves state-of-the-art performance on the public multimodal sarcasm dataset.

Improving Entity Linking in Chinese Domain by Sense Embedding Based on Graph Clustering

Entity linking refers to linking a string in a text to corresponding entities in a knowledge base through candidate entity generation and candidate entity *** is of great significance to some NLP(natural language processing)tasks,such as question *** English entity linking,Chinese entity linking requires more consideration due to the lack of spacing and capitalization in text sequences and the ambiguity of characters and words,which is more evident in certain *** Chinese domains,such as industry,the generated candidate entities are usually composed of long strings and are heavily *** addition,the meanings of the words that make up industrial entities are sometimes *** semantic space is a subspace of the general word embedding space,and thus each entity word needs to get its exact ***,we propose two schemes to achieve better Chinese entity ***,we implement an ngram based candidate entity generation method to increase the recall rate and reduce the nesting ***,we enhance the corresponding candidate entity ranking mechanism by introducing sense *** the contradiction between the ambiguity of word vectors and the single sense of the industrial domain,we design a sense embedding model based on graph clustering,which adopts an unsupervised approach for word sense induction and learns sense representation in conjunction with *** test the embedding quality of our approach on classical datasets and demonstrate its disambiguation ability in general *** confirm that our method can better learn candidate entities’fundamental laws in the industrial domain and achieve better performance on entity linking through experiments.

Scalable Transactional Stream Processing on Multicore Processors

Transactional stream processing engines (TSPEs) are central to modern stream applications handling shared mutable states. However, their full potential, particularly in adaptive scheduling, remains largely unexplored. We present MorphStream, a TSPE designed to optimize parallelism and performance for transactional stream processing on multicores. Through a unique three-stage execution paradigm (i.e., planning, scheduling, and execution), MorphStream enables adaptive scheduling under varying workload characteristics. Building on this foundation, MorphStream is further enhanced with support for non-deterministic state access, employing a stateful task precedence graph to handle undefined read/write sets at runtime while guaranteeing transaction semantics. Additionally, MorphStream incorporates a generalized framework for managing window-based operations, enabling efficient tracking and maintenance of overlapping windows using multi-versioned state management. These extensions enhance the system's ability to process dynamic and irregular workloads. Experimental results demonstrate up to 3.4 times higher throughput and 69.1% lower latency compared to state-of-the-art TSPEs, validating its scalability and adaptability in real-world streaming scenarios. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

E-textiles for emotion interaction: a scoping review of trends and opportunities

There has been a proliferation of emotion-related interactive textiles in recent years. This research conducted a comprehensive scoping review of the literature on emotion-related interactive textiles design. In total, 75 design studies were identified from their abstracts and analyzed with social network analysis and text mining methods. These studies were categorized into different aims (emotion expression, emotion communication, emotion reflection, emotion regulation, emotional effect, emotional experience, and emotion analysis). This review also analyzed details of prototypes and experimental design, such as textile form, textile function, feedback mechanism, experiment method, evaluation scale, and empirical findings. Then we evaluated these studies based on the relationship of their research aim, textiles, emotion, interaction mechanism, etc. The findings suggest that interactive textiles can aid in emotion presentation, modulation, and creating unique emotional experiences. Interactive textiles, feedback mechanisms, and bodily interaction all serve essential functions and benefit emotional interaction. Last, this review reflected on the critical research directions of emotion-related interactive textiles, including connecting interactive textiles with biofeedback, designing interactive textiles with sensory feedback mechanisms, and increasing bodily interaction for dynamic emotion. Further, this research provided insights into the research gaps, from elaborating on the experiment and exploring the materiality of interactive textiles to concerning privacy and user acceptance. SAND: semi-automated adaptive network defense via programmable rule generation and deployment

Cyber security is dynamic as defenders often need to adapt their defense postures. The state-ofthe-art is that the adaptation of network defense is done manually(i.e., tedious and error-prone). The ideal solution is to automate adaptive network defense, which is however a difficult problem. As a first step towards automation, we propose investigating how to attain semi-automated adaptive network defense(SAND). We propose an approach extending the architecture of software-defined networking, which is centered on providing defenders with the capability to program the generation and deployment of dynamic defense rules enforced by network defense tools. We present the design and implementation of SAND, as well as the evaluation of the prototype implementation. Experimental results show that SAND can achieve agile and effective dynamic adaptations of defense rules(less than 15 ms on average for each operation), while only incurring a small performance overhead.
