While third-party libraries provide benefit to software systems, they also bring unique challenges. It often happens that developers need to replace some already-used libraries with other functionality-equivalent libraries. However, it is not easy to find a relevant candidate from overwhelming libraries. Despite several approaches have been proposed to mine library migrations from historical data, the study of library recommendation from the perspective of both open-source projects and third-party libraries is lacking. Therefore, conducting such research may assist developer better select suitable third-party libraries. In this paper, we propose a multi-metric ranking with label correlations (MMRLC) algorithm, which can recommend libraries holistically from the both perspectives. Not only does it mine library migrations from existing software data, MMRLC further leverages label correlations of libraries in Maven Central Repository to make recommendations. To demonstrate the usefulness, three popular algorithms were conducted on a benchmark dataset for comparison. The results show that our approach can recommend libraries with precision @ 1 of 0.8454 and recall @20 of 0.9301. Moreover, to demonstrate the generality, we select 366 libraries and resort to TagWiki to generate the related library labels, and the results show that our approach still has comparable performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The menu interaction methods in VR, such as floating menus, are still considered unnatural. A solution is proposed in this paper where menus are tightly attached to the user's palm. Firstly, use UV mapping technology to attach the menu to the palm. Secondly, optimal layout parameters for the hand surface menu were determined through user experiments. Finally, a dataset was built to train the interaction error detection model, aiming to improve interaction success rates under various hand poses in VR. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to other VR menu methods, HSM reduces the average interaction error rate by 30.1% and shortens the average completion time by 12.4% under the optimal hand pose. © 2024 IEEE.

Factors have always played an important role in stock analysis, but they are only effective for specific problems in specific scenarios. Therefore, constructing factors timely and quickly for different scenarios is an urgent problem to be solved. Although some experts have constructed factors, they need to manually construct factors for each scenario, and the construction process consumes time and effort. The annual report is an important and common scenario. It is an important form of information disclosure and financial reporting. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for automatically constructing factors based on genetic programming that combines expert experience for this scenario. It incorporates the knowledge and insights of experts in the field of stock analysis into the process of automati-cally constructing factors, and continuously adjusts and improves the combination of factors through genetic programming to adapt to the needs of the scenario. The effectiveness of this method is verified through empirical analysis and its advantages in specific scenarios are demonstrated. © 2024 IEEE.

Interactive video object segmentation (iVOS), which aims to efficiently produce high-quality segmentation masks of the target object in a video with user interactions. Recently, numerous works are proposed to advance the task of iVOS. However, their usages on user intent are limited. First, typical modules usually try to direct generate the segmentation without any further exploration on the input interaction, which misses valuable information. Second, recent iVOS approaches also do not consider the raw interactive information. As a result, the final segmentation results will be poisoned by the erroneous information given by the previous round’s segmentation masks. To solve the aforementioned weaknesses, in this paper, an Iterative Segmentation and Propagation based iVOS method is proposed to conduct better user intent exploration, namely ISP. ISP directly models user intent into the PGI2M module and TP module. Specifically, ISP first extracts a coarse-grained segmentation mask by analyzing the user’s input. Subsequently, this mask is used as a prior to aid the PGI2M module. Secondly, ISP presents a new interaction-driven self-attention module to recall the user’s intent in the TP module. Extensive experiments on two public datasets show the superiority of ISP over existing methods. © 2024 SPIE.

Due to the absorption and scattering of light in water, the underwater image has some problems such as colour distortion, serious colour difference and ambiguity, which seriously affects the detection of underwater resources and object recognition. At present, the latest underwater image enhancement methods are all based on deep learning, but they do not take into account the diversity of channel information and pixel features. In order to achieve better enhancement effect, a parallel attention mechanism combining Channel Attention and Pixel Attention is introduced based on Conditional Generative Adversarial Network consisting of multi-scale generator and double discriminator. Compared with other latest methods, the enhancement effect of the proposed method is closer to the real image, and the necessity of each module of the proposed model is proved by ablation study. © 2023 IEEE.

Vision-language models (VLMs) pre-trained on large-scale image-text pairs have shown great success in various image tasks. However, how to efficiently transfer such powerful VLMs into video domain is still an open problem. Given that full finetuning VLMs for video tasks could be computationally expensive, recent studies turn their focus on parameter-efficient finetuning (PEFT). The great potential of VLMs lies in leveraging the bidirectional semantic connections between the two modalities of vision and language. Nevertheless, most current PEFT methods use the vision-only framework and usually ignore the semantic connections between vision and language. In this paper, we propose a novel method called BiEfficient, which use bidirectional prompting schemes to efficiently transfer the VLM to video recognition task with a small number of tunable parameters: 1) Vision-to-Language: we propose two prompt mechanisms, Pre-Prompt and Post-Prompt, which act before and after the text encoder respectively to generate discriminative video-level text representation for each input video. 2) Language-to-Vision: we propose Word-Guided Visual-Prompt, which enhances the temporal modeling of videos using textual knowledge in an almost parameter-free manner. Experiments on Kinetics-400, UCF-101, HMDB-51 demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve comparable or even better performance to the full finetuning methods with much fewer tunable parameters across closed-set and zero-shot video recognition benchmarks. Automatic Positioning of Intelligent Mobile Robot Based on Improved Front-End Scanning Matching

Traditional autonomous navigation methods for mobile robots mainly rely on geometric feature-based LiDAR scan-matching algorithms, but in complex environments, this method is often affected due to the presence of moving objects, occlusions, and other interfering factors, resulting in a decrease in positioning accuracy. With the growing demand for robotics applications in logistics, security, exploration and other fields, the need for robust autonomous navigation and high-precision mapping in highly dynamic and complex environments is becoming more and more urgent. To solve this problem, an improved front-end scan matching algorithm based on Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) LiDAR is proposed in this paper. Firstly, by using the target Doppler velocity information provided by the FMCW LiDAR, we design a novel point cloud segmentation algorithm based on velocity clustering, which is able to effectively distinguish between stationary and moving objects, and avoid the dynamic interference affecting the position estimation. Secondly, we introduce the Gaussian Mixture Model Sampling Consistency (GMMSC) algorithm, which is more robust to reject the mis-matched pairs in the scanning matching process and improve the alignment accuracy. Finally, based on the residual high-quality matched pairs, we combine the classical ICP algorithm with the robust kernel function to further enhance the stability of the position estimation in the case of occlusion and local mismatch. The experimental results show that the proposed improved algorithm significantly improves the mapping capability of mobile robots in complex environments compared with the existing techniques. The average relative error of the improved front-end scanning matching algorithm is reduced by 40.6 % compared with the pre-improved one. © 2025, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. 3DSN-Net: A 3-D Scale-Aware convNet With Nonlocal Context Guidance for Kidney and Tumor Segmentation From CT Volumes

Automatic kidney and tumor segmentation from CT volumes is a critical prerequisite/tool for diagnosis and surgical treatment (such as partial nephrectomy). However, it remains a particularly challenging issue as kidneys and tumors often exhibit large-scale variations, irregular shapes, and blurring boundaries. We propose a novel 3-D network to comprehensively tackle these problems;we call it 3DSN-Net. Compared with existing solutions, it has two compelling characteristics. First, with a new scale-aware feature extraction (SAFE) module, the proposed 3DSN-Net is capable of adaptively selecting appropriate receptive fields according to the sizes of targets instead of indiscriminately enlarging them, which is particularly essential for improving the segmentation accuracy of the tumor with large scale variation. Second, we propose a novel yet efficient nonlocal context guidance (NCG) mechanism to capture global dependencies to tackle irregular shapes and blurring boundaries of kidneys and tumors. Instead of directly harnessing a 3-D NCG mechanism, which makes the number of parameters exponentially increase and hence the network difficult to be trained under limited training data, we develop a 2.5D NCG mechanism based on projections of feature cubes, which achieves a tradeoff between segmentation accuracy and network complexity. We extensively evaluate the proposed 3DSN-Net on the famous KiTS dataset with many challenging kidney and tumor cases. Experimental results demonstrate our solution consistently outperforms state-of-the-art 3-D networks after being equipped with scale aware and NCG mechanisms, particularly for tumor segmentation. © 2013 IEEE.
