In today's modern age, there is a growing need for temperature sensors that can conform to the skin and monitor body temperature continuously. Achieving this requires the miniaturization of the sensor and careful selection of the active layer stacking. Further, it is important to check the effect of the active layer stacking on the sensor performance. In this context, we present the performance evaluation results for a polymer-based flexible temperature sensor designed to conform to the skin. This sensor utilizes PEDOT:PSS + GO composition as the temperature-sensitive material developed on top of a flexible PET substrate. The experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the sensor is dependent on the active layer stacking and electrode separation. An impressive sensor sensitivity of

Humans rely increasingly on sensors to address grand challenges and to improve quality of life in the era of digitalization and big data. For ubiquitous sensing, flexible sensors are developed to overcome the limitations of conventional rigid counterparts. Despite rapid advancement in bench-side research over the last decade, the market adoption of flexible sensors remains limited. To ease and to expedite their deployment, here, we identify bottlenecks hindering the maturation of flexible sensors and propose promising solutions. We first analyze continued...challenges in achieving satisfactory sensing performance for real-world applications and then summarize issues in compatible sensor-biology interfaces, followed by brief discussions on powering and connecting sensor networks. Capacitance-to-voltage conversion is essential for capacitive sensors in various industries, including touch interfaces, medical devices, and moisture measurement. However, circuit design faces challenges like non-linearity, noise, and small capacitance variations affecting voltage signals. This article proposes a phase-locked loop in free-running oscillator mode with a frequency-to-voltage converter to enhance accuracy and stability. Test results show a 97.9% measurement accuracy, demonstrating reduced noise and improved stability.
