In traditional research approaches, sensory perception and emotion classification have traditionally been considered separate domains. Yet, the significant influence of sensory experiences on emotional responses is undeniable. The natural language processing (NLP) community has often missed the opportunity to merge sensory knowledge with emotion classification. To address this gap, we propose SensoryT5, a neuro-cognitive approach that integrates sensory information into the T5 (Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer) model, designed specifically for fine-grained emotion classification. This methodology incorporates sensory cues into the T5’s attention mechanism, enabling a harmonious balance between contextual understanding and sensory awareness. The resulting model amplifies the richness of emotional representations. In rigorous tests across various detailed emotion classification datasets, SensoryT5 showcases improved performance, surpassing both the foundational T5 model and current state-of-the-art works. Notably, SensoryT5’s success signifies a pivotal change in the NLP domain, highlighting the potential influence of neuro-cognitive data in refining machine learning models’ emotional sensitivity. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association.

BPCPR-FC: blockchain-based privacy preservation with confidentiality using proxy reencryption and ring signature in fog computing environments

The usage of edge devices in distributed fog and cloud computing applications is increasing day by day in the current digital communication world. The edge devices can be mobile devices, smart devices, IoT devices, and vehicular devices. The edge devices produce a variety of data in various applications such as healthcare, educational, vehicular networks, smart systems and industrial IoT. The private data of a user or any generated data at the edge devices will be stored in the centralized cloud server and then can be accessed by any user when required upon permission by the data owner. An increase in the rate of data sharing in current digital communications directly increases vulnerable activities which require security services like access control, privacy, data confidentiality, anonymity, unforgeability, and nonframeability. In this article, a blockchain-based privacy preservation with confidentiality using proxy reencryption and ring signature in fog computing environments (BPCPR-FC) mechanism is proposed to achieve the requirements. The proposed BPCPR-FC is verified using mathematical analysis for a set of security issues and an informal security analysis is carried out for a set of common attacks. Cryptanalysis of the proposed BPCPR-FC scheme is discussed and shows the improvement of encryption and decryption time by 8–22% and 10–23% compared to existing schemes. The blockchain implementation of the proposed BPCPR-FC is carried out in the Truffle suite and discussed the improvement of block preparation time by 7–17% compared to suitable existing works. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management.

When attempting to make underwater images better, there are a lot of obstacles to overcome, including water's inherent color distortion, inadequate visibility, and light absorption and dispersion noise. The difficulties in accurately analyzing images caused by these problems apply to marine research, underwater robots, and environmental monitoring are only a few areas which are impacted. To address the limitations of existing picture enhancement techniques, this paper proposes a new hybrid deep learning CNN + GAN model for enhancing underwater photographs. The hybrid model extracts features with GANs and noise reduces with CNNs to produce better photos with better clarity and color correction. I train and validate the model using an underwater picture dataset and it defeats the state of the art approaches on visibility, color correctness, contrast and contrast. In quantitative and qualitative assessments our hybrid deep learning method yields superior generalization in different undersea environments relative to traditional methods. A suggested approach can potentially improve the underwater photography, marine setting data collecting with more precision, as well as better underwater exploration. This work now provides confidence in research progress into autonomous underwater exploration systems and underwater image processing. © 2025 IEEE.

The Named Data Networking (NDN) paradigm has been used as a promising vehicle communication model, namely the Vehicular Named Data Networking (V-NDN) model. In NDN, delivery of interest in the NDN network is done by selecting an existing interface. The problem is as to which interface is right in terms of fulfilling the request that suits the user. In this study, we compare the effectiveness of each forwarding strategy by creating new scenarios, such as variations in the number of interests and simulation time. We also measure the effectiveness of the forwarding strategy using the parameters specified in the NFD Forwarding Pipeline. The conclusion from the experiment is that superior forwarding strategy recommendations are based on content store (CS) management and data compatibility obtained based on consumer demand for producers. © 2023 IEEE.

Public-key infrastructure (PKI) is poised to play a crucial function in the use of secure data technology systems. With the increasing complexity of these dais’s networks and packages, PKI gives a reliable way to electronically affirm and securely exchange critical records. This paper investigates the effect of PKI on modern-day facts security models for networked applications. An assessment of the literature is conducted to discover the limitations of various PKI‐enabled architectures and packages. This study proposes a hybrid deep learning approach to classify diseases into nine diseases by combining support vector machines and convolutional neural network models. In classifying various diseases in banana fruit leaves, the research presents a hybrid deep convolutional neural network (CNN) and support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. 1570 images covering 9 distinct disease groups help compensate for the dataset used in the study. The study's CNN architecture, which includes several convolutional and max pooling layers, fully connected layers, and an SVM output layer in which we implement regularisation, is also thoroughly discussed in the research. Based on the study results, the proposed CNN-SVM model achieves an overall accuracy of 81.13%, with macro average values for accuracy, recall, and F1 score of 81.8%, 82.66%, and 81.85%, respectively, and weighted average values of 40.80%, 41.60%, and 41.19%. These results indicate how machine learning algorithms can be applied in agriculture to quickly and precisely diagnose disease, which can ultimately improve crop management and production. © 2023 IEEE.

Every day, pharmaceutical firms have to do extensive product analyses. The same product is frequently registered more than once in several systems, each using unique properties. For these businesses, precise and high-quality information is crucial, especially considering the nature of the pharmaceuticals these goods contain. The hypothesis of this research project is that machine learning provides a workable way to effectively combine different data sources and match records pertaining to the same product. It is no longer feasible to match records by hand because of the extraordinarily large volume that has to be processed. In a large data context, this paper presents a framework for matching pharmacological records using machine learning approaches. The framework trains machine learning by utilising specified criteria for record matching. These models are then tested by forecasting matches between records that deviate from these preset guidelines. Lastly, by creating a huge variety of record combinations and forecasting matches based on them, the system mimics the production environment. The findings show that although the training datasets produce good results - the top model has an average accuracy of about 85% - the production environment has its own set of difficulties. In spite of this, matches that depart from established norms are effectively predicted by the framework. These results highlight how machine learning can be used to perform record matching tasks, as manual processing at this size is impossible. © 2024 IEEE.

Today's internet applications generate massive temporal data anywhere and anytime. Although some disk-based temporal systems are currently available, they suffer from poor I/O performance, especially when applied in intelligent applications deployed in the cloud and edge environments. Therefore, how to process temporal operations with low latency and high throughput becomes a crucial problem for efficient data processing. This paper proposes Timo, a distributed in-memory temporal query and analytic model for big temporal data. Firstly, a space-efficient temporal index is proposed to support more efficiently query performance with less memory space than the state-of-art methods. Secondly, based on the temporal locality feature of temporal queries, Timo proposes a partitioner mechanism, which utilizes forward scan algorithm, to improve query throughput. Thirdly, some optimal strategies are proposed to improve the execution process of temporal query and analysis, which reduce intermediate result data size and improve the throughput much further. Lastly, we implement the Timo system on the Apache Spark platform, which extends Spark dataset API with temporal query and analysis API functions for users. Extensive experimental results show that the Timo system outperforms other Spark-based temporal systems in terms of both query latency and throughput. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

It is of the utmost importance to be aware of safety measures when operating a motor vehicle in the contemporary world, characterized by a fast-paced and hazardous environment. It has become necessary to develop innovative technology in order to improve road safety as a result of the alarmingly high number of incidents that can be linked to drivers who are under the influence of alcohol. As a solution to this significant problem, this study uses the capabilities offered by the Internet of Things (IoT) to develop an integrated system for detecting and controlling alcohol in commercial vehicles. This study aims to reduce the dangers connected with driving under the influence of alcohol by allowing for the seamless integration of cutting-edge alcohol detection technologies with real-time vehicle control mechanisms. The system makes use of specific sensors for the detection of alcohol. It interacts with the control mechanisms of the vehicle in order to restrict its functioning when alcohol is present. To make this possible, the hardware component of the system mounted in the vehicle uses the MQ3 sensor, also known as the alcohol sensor. This sensor is responsible for monitoring the alcohol molecules in the air around the driver to determine whether or not the driver is intoxicated. A buzzer, a DC motor, an LCD, a GPS, and a GSM are all components utilized by the system for data transfer. Additionally, the gear is powered by a 12-volt battery. As soon as the system determines that there is alcohol present in the vehicle, it immediately locks the accelerator. Using the GPS, the driver can obtain their location coordinates. © 2024 IEEE.
