This paper investigates the coverage provability-constrained throughput in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) networks, where UAVs are used as aerial base stations and their positions are modeled by the 2-dimension Poisson point process (2-D PPP). The ground users (GUs) decode information as well as harvest energy from the transmitted signals from UAVs. Both power splitting (PS) and time switching (TS) architectures are employed at GUs. By using a stochastic geometry approach, the explicit expressions of the information-energy (I-E) coverage probabilities are derived. To describe the optimal deployment density of UAVs, an optimization problem is formulated to maximize the system throughput subject to the I-E coverage probability constraint. By using Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions, the closed-form solution is derived. Simulation results demonstrate the correctness of our derived analytical results and show that compared with traditional linear EH model, the nonlinear EH model yields significant difference performance behaviors of the system. Moreover, the nonlinear EH model has a greater impact on EH for the system with TS-enabled GU than that with PS-enabled one. With the increment of the outage threshold, the required density of UAVs should be increased and both the throughput and the energy first increase and then decrease.

In order to resolve the problem of the image degradation, an image enhancement method based on fractional calculus and Retinex is proposed, which can preserve or enhance texture information and remove the noise of images. The fractional differential is used to preprocess the input image to enhance texture information, and using guided filter to estimate the illumination component, so it has less halo phenomena. The reflection component, obtained according to the Retinex theory, is denoised by fractional integral to remove the noises. The image is equalized by the contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization to improve the image contrast, and a final enhanced image is obtained. The experimental results show that the method can effectively achieve image enhancement, and the enhanced image has better visual effects.

Thus,the need for developing and applying new intelligent power system dispatch tools are of great practical significance. In this paper, we introduce the overall business model of power system dispatch, the top level design approach of an intelligent dispatch system, and the parallel intelligent technology with its dispatch applications. We expect that a new dispatch paradigm,namely the parallel dispatch, can be established by incorporating various intelligent technologies, especially the parallel intelligent technology, to enable secure operation of complex power grids,extend system operators' capabilities, suggest optimal dispatch strategies, and to provide decision-making recommendations according to power system operational goals.

control techniques have prime importance for any system. The wind turbine system necessitates an effective and precise control system to meet energy requirements. The pitch angle control is of prime importance for regulating the power output along with to restrain the rotor speed of wind turbine (WT). This paper proposes an improved PID controller of the pitch control to enhance the power output in addition to bound the WT speed. This technique also assists to dwindle the loading effect, produced by the aerodynamic forces, through limiting the torque. The proposed methodology is tested with the use of MATLAB/Simulink and it is equated with the PI control technique to assess its usefulness. The designed controller is verified on 2 MW doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) WT. Simulation results validate the effectiveness and precision of the presented control technique.

Installing smart meters to publish real-time electricity rates has been controversial while it might lead to privacy concerns. Dispatched rates include fine-grained data on aggregate electricity consumption in a zone and could potentially be used to infer a household's pattern of energy use or its occupancy. In this paper, we propose Blowfish privacy to protect the occupancy state of the houses connected to a smart grid. First, we introduce a Markov model of the relationship between electricity rate and electricity consumption. Next, we develop an algorithm that perturbs electricity rates before publishing them to ensure users' privacy. Last, the proposed algorithm is tested on data inspired by household occupancy models and its performance is compared to an alternative solution.
